詩篇 91
1 いと高き者のもとにある隠れ場に住む人、全能者の陰にやどる人は
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of Shaddai.
2 主に言うであろう、「わが避け所、わが城、わが信頼しまつるわが神」と。
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
3 主はあなたをかりゅうどのわなと、恐ろしい疫病から助け出されるからである。
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.
4 主はその羽をもって、あなたをおおわれる。あなたはその翼の下に避け所を得るであろう。そのまことは大盾、また小盾である。
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His truth is an encompassing shield.
5 あなたは夜の恐ろしい物をも、昼に飛んでくる矢をも恐れることはない。
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6 また暗やみに歩きまわる疫病をも、真昼に荒す滅びをも恐れることはない。
nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 たとい千人はあなたのかたわらに倒れ、万人はあなたの右に倒れても、その災はあなたに近づくことはない。
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
8 あなたはただ、その目をもって見、悪しき者の報いを見るだけである。
You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 あなたは主を避け所とし、いと高き者をすまいとしたので、
Because you have made the LORD, my refuge, the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 災はあなたに臨まず、悩みはあなたの天幕に近づくことはない。
no evil shall overtake you; no plague shall come near your dwelling.
11 これは主があなたのために天使たちに命じて、あなたの歩むすべての道であなたを守らせられるからである。
For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
12 彼らはその手で、あなたをささえ、石に足を打ちつけることのないようにする。
In their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 あなたはししと、まむしとを踏み、若いししと、へびとを足の下に踏みにじるであろう。
You will tread upon the lion and the viper. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
14 彼はわたしを愛して離れないゆえに、わたしは彼を助けよう。彼はわが名を知るゆえに、わたしは彼を守る。
"Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15 彼がわたしを呼ぶとき、わたしは彼に答える。わたしは彼の悩みのときに、共にいて、彼を救い、彼に光栄を与えよう。
He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
16 わたしは長寿をもって彼を満ち足らせ、わが救を彼に示すであろう。
I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation."
