詩篇 56
1 聖歌隊の指揮者によって、「遠き所におる音をたてぬはと」のしらべにあわせてうたわせたダビデのミクタムの歌。これはダビデがガテでペリシテびとに捕えられたときによんだもの 神よ、どうかわたしをあわれんでください。人々がわたしを踏みつけ、あだする人々がひねもすわたしをしえたげます。
For the chief musician; set to Jonath elem rehokim. A psalm of David. A michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. Be merciful to me, God, for men are attacking me! All the day long those who fight me press their assault.
2 わたしの敵はひねもすわたしを踏みつけ、誇りたかぶって、わたしと戦う者が多いのです。
My enemies trample me all day long; for there are many who arrogantly fight against me.
3 わたしが恐れるときは、あなたに寄り頼みます。
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
4 わたしは神によって、そのみ言葉をほめたたえます。わたしは神に信頼するゆえ、恐れることはありません。肉なる者はわたしに何をなし得ましょうか。
In God, whose word I praise— in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid; what can mere man do to me?
5 彼らはひねもすわたしの事を妨害し、その思いはことごとくわたしにわざわいします。
All the day long they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 彼らは共に集まって身をひそめ、わたしの歩みに目をとめ、わたしのいのちをうかがい求めます。
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, and they mark my steps, just as they have waited for my life.
7 神よ、彼らにその罪を報い、憤りをもってもろもろの民を倒してください。
Do not let them escape doing iniquity. Bring down the peoples in your anger, God.
8 あなたはわたしのさすらいを数えられました。わたしの涙をあなたの皮袋にたくわえてください。これは皆あなたの書にしるされているではありませんか。
You number my wanderings and put my tears into your bottle; are they not in your book?
9 わたしが呼び求める日に、わたしの敵は退きます。これによって神がわたしを守られることを知ります。
Then my enemies will turn back on the day that I call to you; this I know, that God is for me.
10 わたしは神によってそのみ言葉をほめたたえ、主によってそのみ言葉をほめたたえます。
In God—whose word I praise, in Yahweh—whose word I praise,
11 わたしは神に信頼するゆえ、恐れることはありません。人はわたしに何をなし得ましょうか。
in God I trust, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?
12 神よ、わたしがあなたに立てた誓いは果さなければなりません。わたしは感謝の供え物をあなたにささげます。
The duty to fulfill my vows to you is on me, God; I will give thank offerings to you.
13 あなたはわたしの魂を死から救い、わたしの足を守って倒れることなく、いのちの光のうちで神の前にわたしを歩ませられたからです。
For you have rescued my life from death; you have kept my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
