詩篇 50
1 アサフの歌 全能者なる神、主は詔して、日の出るところから日の入るところまであまねく地に住む者を召し集められる。
“A psalm of Asaph.” The mighty God, Jehovah, speaketh, and calleth the earth, From the rising of the sun to its going down.
2 神は麗しさのきわみであるシオンから光を放たれる。
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
3 われらの神は来て、もだされない。み前には焼きつくす火があり、そのまわりには、はげしい暴風がある。
Our God cometh, and will not be silent; Before him is a devouring fire, And around him a raging tempest.
4 神はその民をさばくために、上なる天および地に呼ばわれる、
He calleth to the heavens on high, And to the earth, while he judgeth his people:
5 「いけにえをもってわたしと契約を結んだわが聖徒をわたしのもとに集めよ」と。
“Gather together before me my godly ones, Who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”
6 天は神の義をあらわす、神はみずから、さばきぬしだからである。 (セラ)
(And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, For it is God himself that is judge., Pause)
7 「わが民よ、聞け、わたしは言う。イスラエルよ、わたしはあなたにむかってあかしをなす。わたしは神、あなたの神である。
“Hear, O my people, and I will speak! O Israel, and I will testify against thee! For I am God, thine own God.
8 わたしがあなたを責めるのは、あなたのいけにえのゆえではない。あなたの燔祭はいつもわたしの前にある。
I reprove thee not on account of thy sacrifices; For thy burnt-offerings are ever before me.
9 わたしはあなたの家から雄牛を取らない。またあなたのおりから雄やぎを取らない。
I will take no bullock from thy house, Nor he-goat from thy folds;
10 林のすべての獣はわたしのもの、丘の上の千々の家畜もわたしのものである。
For all the beasts of the forest are mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 わたしは空の鳥をことごとく知っている。野に動くすべてのものはわたしのものである。
I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are before me.
12 たといわたしは飢えても、あなたに告げない、世界とその中に満ちるものとはわたしのものだからである。
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and all that is therein.
13 わたしは雄牛の肉を食べ、雄やぎの血を飲むだろうか。
Do I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
14 感謝のいけにえを神にささげよ。あなたの誓いをいと高き者に果せ。
Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay thy vows to the Most High!
15 悩みの日にわたしを呼べ、わたしはあなたを助け、あなたはわたしをあがめるであろう」。
Then call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me!”
16 しかし神は悪しき者に言われる、「あなたはなんの権利があってわたしの定めを述べ、わたしの契約を口にするのか。
And to the wicked God saith, “To what purpose dost thou talk of my statutes? And why hast thou my laws upon thy lips?—
17 あなたは教を憎み、わたしの言葉を捨て去った。
Thou, who hatest instruction And castest my words behind thee!
18 あなたは盗びとを見ればこれとむつみ、姦淫を行う者と交わる。
When thou seest a thief, thou art in friendship with him, And hast fellowship with adulterers.
19 あなたはその口を悪にわたし、あなたの舌はたばかりを仕組む。
Thou lettest loose thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit;
20 あなたは座してその兄弟をそしり、自分の母の子をののしる。
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 あなたがこれらの事をしたのを、わたしが黙っていたので、あなたはわたしを全く自分とひとしい者と思った。しかしわたしはあなたを責め、あなたの目の前にその罪をならべる。
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Hence thou thoughtest that I was altogether like thyself: But I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thine eyes.
22 神を忘れる者よ、このことを思え。さもないとわたしはあなたをかき裂く。そのときだれも助ける者はないであろう。
Mark this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and none deliver you!
23 感謝のいけにえをささげる者はわたしをあがめる。自分のおこないを慎む者にはわたしは神の救を示す」。
Whoso offereth praise honoreth me; And to him who hath regard to his ways Will I show salvation from God.”
