詩篇 48

1 コラの子の歌、さんび 主は大いなる神であって、われらの神の都、その聖なる山で、大いにほめたたえらるべき方である。

[A Song. A Psalm by the sons of Korah.] Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

2 シオンの山は北の端が高くて、うるわしく、全地の喜びであり、大いなる王の都である。

Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King.

3 そのもろもろの殿のうちに神はみずからを高きやぐらとして現された。

God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.

4 見よ、王らは相会して共に進んできたが、

For, look, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.

5 彼らは都を見るや驚き、あわてふためき、急ぎ逃げ去った。

They saw it, then they were amazed. They were dismayed. They hurried away.

6 おののきは彼らに臨み、その苦しみは産みの苦しみをする女のようであった。

Trembling took hold of them there, pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 あなたは東風を起してタルシシの舟を破られた。

With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.

8 さきにわれらが聞いたように、今われらは万軍の主の都、われらの神の都でこれを見ることができた。神はとこしえにこの都を堅くされる。 (セラ)

As we have heard, so we have seen, in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. (Selah)

9 神よ、われらはあなたの宮のうちであなたのいつくしみを思いました。

We have thought about your loving kindness, God, in the midst of your temple.

10 神よ、あなたの誉は、あなたのみ名のように、地のはてにまで及びます。あなたの右の手は勝利で満ちています。

As is your name, God, so is your praise to the farthest parts of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness.

11 あなたのさばきのゆえに、シオンの山を喜ばせ、ユダの娘を楽しませてください。

Let Mount Zion be glad. Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of your judgments.

12 シオンのまわりを歩き、あまねくめぐって、そのやぐらを数え、

Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers.

13 その城壁に心をとめ、そのもろもろの殿をしらべよ。これはあなたがたが後の代に語り伝えるためである。

Consider her defenses. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation.

14 これこそ神であり、世々かぎりなくわれらの神であって、とこしえにわれらを導かれるであろう。

For this God is our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.
