詩篇 41

1 聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたダビデの歌 貧しい者をかえりみる人はさいわいである。主はそのような人を悩みの日に救い出される。

Unto the end, a psalm for David himself. Blessed is he that understandeth concerning the needy and the poor: the Lord will deliver him in the evil day.

2 主は彼を守って、生きながらえさせられる。彼はこの地にあって、さいわいな者と呼ばれる。あなたは彼をその敵の欲望にわたされない。

The Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth: and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

3 主は彼をその病の床でささえられる。あなたは彼の病む時、その病をことごとくいやされる。

The Lord help him on his bed of sorrow: thou hast turned all his couch in his sickness.

4 わたしは言った、「主よ、わたしをあわれみ、わたしをいやしてください。わたしはあなたにむかって罪を犯しました」と。

I said: O Lord, be thou merciful to me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against thee.

5 わたしの敵はわたしをそしって言う、「いつ彼は死に、その名がほろびるであろうか」と。

My enemies have spoken evils against me: when shall he die and his name perish?

6 そのひとりがわたしを見ようとして来るとき、彼は偽りを語り、その心によこしまを集め、外に出てはそれを言いふらす。

And if he came in to see me, he spoke vain things: his heart gathered together iniquity to itself. He went out and spoke to the same purpose.

7 すべてわたしを憎む者はわたしについて共にささやき、わたしのために災を思いめぐらす。

All my enemies whispered together against me: they devised evils to me.

8 彼らは言う、「彼に一つのたたりがつきまとったから、倒れ伏して再び起きあがらないであろう」と。

They determined against me an unjust word: shall he that sleepeth rise again no more?

9 わたしの信頼した親しい友、わたしのパンを食べた親しい友さえもわたしにそむいてくびすをあげた。

For even the man of peace, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, hath greatly supplanted me.

10 しかし主よ、わたしをあわれみ、わたしを助け起してください。そうすればわたしは彼らに報い返すことができます。

But thou, O Lord, have mercy on me, and raise me up again: and I will requite them.

11 わたしの敵がわたしに打ち勝てないことによって、あなたがわたしを喜ばれることをわたしは知ります。

By this I know, that thou hast had a good will for me: because my enemy shall not rejoice over me.

12 あなたはわたしの全きによって、わたしをささえ、とこしえにみ前に置かれます。

But thou hast upheld me by reason of my innocence: and hast established me in thy sight for ever.

13 イスラエルの神、主はとこしえからとこしえまでほむべきかな。アァメン、アァメン。

Blessed by the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity. So be it. So be it.
