詩篇 14

1 聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたダビデの歌 愚かな者は心のうちに「神はない」と言う。彼らは腐れはて、憎むべき事をなし、善を行う者はない。

For the Chief Musician. By David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.

2 主は天から人の子らを見おろして、賢い者、神をたずね求める者があるかないかを見られた。

The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

3 彼らはみな迷い、みなひとしく腐れた。善を行う者はない、ひとりもない。

They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.

4 すべて悪を行う者は悟りがないのか。彼らは物食うようにわが民をくらい、また主を呼ぶことをしない。

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?

5 その時、彼らは大いに恐れた。神は正しい者のやからと共におられるからである。

There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 あなたがたは貧しい者の計画をはずかしめようとする。しかし主は彼の避け所である。

You frustrate the plan of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 どうか、シオンからイスラエルの救が出るように。主がその民の繁栄を回復されるとき、ヤコブは喜び、イスラエルは楽しむであろう。

Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
