詩篇 120

1 都もうでの歌 わたしが悩みのうちに、主に呼ばわると、主はわたしに答えられる。

A Song of degrees. In my trouble I called unto Jehovah, and he answered me.

2 「主よ、偽りのくちびるから、欺きの舌から、わたしを助け出してください」。

Jehovah, deliver my soul from the lying lip, from the deceitful tongue.

3 欺きの舌よ、おまえに何が与えられ、何が加えられるであろうか。

What shall be given unto thee, what shall be added unto thee, thou deceitful tongue?

4 ますらおの鋭い矢と、えにしだの熱い炭とである。

Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with burning coals of broom-wood.

5 わざわいなるかな、わたしはメセクにやどり、ケダルの天幕のなかに住んでいる。

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

6 わたしは久しく平安を憎む者のなかに住んでいた。

My soul hath long dwelt with them that hate peace.

7 わたしは平安を願う、しかし、わたしが物言うとき、彼らは戦いを好む。

I [am for] peace; but when I speak, they [are] for war.
