箴言 知恵の泉 10
1 ソロモンの箴言。知恵ある子は父を喜ばせ、愚かな子は母の悲しみとなる。
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 不義の宝は益なく、正義は人を救い出して、死を免れさせる。
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.
3 主は正しい人を飢えさせず、悪しき者の欲望をくじかれる。
Jehovah will not allow the soul of a righteous man to famish, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
4 手を動かすことを怠る者は貧しくなり、勤め働く者の手は富を得る。
He who works with a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
5 夏のうちに集める者は賢い子であり、刈入れの時に眠る者は恥をきたらせる子である。
He who gathers in summer is a wise son. He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.
6 正しい者のこうべには祝福があり、悪しき者の口は暴虐を隠す。
Blessings are upon the head of a righteous man, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
7 正しい者の名はほめられ、悪しき者の名は朽ちる。
The memory of a righteous man is blessed, but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8 心のさとき者は戒めを受ける、むだ口をたたく愚かな者は滅ぼされる。
The wise in heart will receive commandments, but a prating fool shall fall.
9 まっすぐに歩む者の歩みは安全である、しかし、その道を曲げる者は災にあう。
He who walks uprightly walks securely, but he who perverts his ways shall be known.
10 目で、めくばせする者は憂いをおこし、あからさまに、戒める者は平和をきたらせる。
He who winks with the eye causes sorrow. And a prating fool shall fall.
11 正しい者の口は命の泉である、悪しき者の口は暴虐を隠す。
The mouth of a righteous man is a fountain of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
12 憎しみは、争いを起し、愛はすべてのとがをおおう。
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions.
13 さとき者のくちびるには知恵があり、知恵のない者の背にはむちがある。
In the lips of him who has discernment wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.
14 知恵ある者は知識をたくわえる、愚かな者のむだ口は、今にも滅びをきたらせる。
Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a foolish man is a present destruction.
15 富める者の宝は、その堅き城であり、貧しい者の乏しきは、その滅びである。
The rich man's wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 正しい者の受ける賃銀は命に導き、悪しき者の利得は罪に至る。
The labor of a righteous man produces life. The fruit of a wicked man is to sin.
17 教訓を守る者は命の道にあり、懲しめを捨てる者は道をふみ迷う。
He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof errs.
18 憎しみを隠す者には偽りのくちびるがあり、そしりを口に出す者は愚かな者である。
He who hides hatred is of lying lips. And he who utters a slander is a fool.
19 言葉が多ければ、とがを免れない、自分のくちびるを制する者は知恵がある。
Transgression is not lacking in the multitude of words, but he who refrains his lips does wisely.
20 正しい者の舌は精銀である、悪しき者の心は価値が少ない。
The tongue of a righteous man is choice silver. The heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 正しい者のくちびるは多くの人を養い、愚かな者は知恵がなくて死ぬ。
The lips of a righteous man feeds many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding.
22 主の祝福は人を富ませる、主はこれになんの悲しみをも加えない。
The blessing of Jehovah, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
23 愚かな者は、戯れ事のように悪を行う、さとき人には賢い行いが楽しみである。
It is as sport to a fool to do mischief, and so is wisdom to a man of understanding.
24 悪しき者の恐れることは自分に来り、正しい者の願うことは与えられる。
The fear of a wicked man shall come upon him. And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 あらしが通りすぎる時、悪しき者は、もはや、いなくなり、正しい者は永久に堅く立てられる。
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked man is no more, but the righteous man is an everlasting foundation.
26 なまけ者は、これをつかわす者にとっては、酢が歯をいため、煙が目を悩ますようなものだ。
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.
27 主を恐れることは人の命の日を多くする、悪しき者の年は縮められる。
The fear of Jehovah prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 正しい者の望みは喜びに終り、悪しき者の望みは絶える。
The hope of the righteous is gladness, but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29 主は、まっすぐに歩む者には城であり、悪を行う者には滅びである。
The way of Jehovah is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
30 正しい者はいつまでも動かされることはない、悪しき者は、地に住むことができない。
A righteous man shall never be removed, but the wicked shall not dwell in the land.
31 正しい者の口は知恵をいだし、偽りの舌は抜かれる。
The mouth of a righteous man brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue shall be cut off.
32 正しい者のくちびるは喜ばるべきことをわきまえ、悪しき者の口は偽りを語る。
The lips of a righteous man knows what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverseness.
