民数記 9
1 エジプトの国を出た次の年の正月、主はシナイの荒野でモーセに言われた、
The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 「イスラエルの人々に、過越の祭を定めの時に行わせなさい。
"Moreover let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its appointed season.
3 この月の十四日の夕暮、定めの時に、それを行わなければならない。あなたがたは、そのすべての定めと、そのすべてのおきてにしたがって、それを行わなければならない」。
On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season—according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances, you shall keep it."
4 そこでモーセがイスラエルの人々に、過越の祭を行わなければならないと言ったので、
Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should keep the Passover.
5 彼らは正月の十四日の夕暮、シナイの荒野で過越の祭を行った。すなわち、イスラエルの人々は、すべて主がモーセに命じられたようにおこなった。
They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.
6 ところが人の死体に触れて身を汚したために、その日に過越の祭を行うことのできない人々があって、その日モーセとアロンの前にきて、
There were certain men, who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.
7 その人々は彼に言った、「わたしたちは人の死体に触れて身を汚しましたが、なぜその定めの時に、イスラエルの人々と共に、主に供え物をささげることができないのですか」。
Those men said to him, "We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of the LORD in its appointed season among the children of Israel?"
8 モーセは彼らに言った、「しばらく待て。主があなたがたについて、どう仰せになるかを聞こう」。
Moses answered them, "Wait, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you."
9 主はモーセに言われた、
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
10 「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『あなたがたのうち、また、あなたがたの子孫のうち、死体に触れて身を汚した人も、遠い旅路にある人も、なお、過越の祭を主に対して行うことができるであろう。
"Say to the children of Israel, 'If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to the LORD.
11 すなわち、二月の十四日の夕暮、それを行い、種入れぬパンと苦菜を添えて、それを食べなければならない。
In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
12 これを少しでも朝まで残しておいてはならない。またその骨は一本でも折ってはならない。過越の祭のすべての定めにしたがってこれを行わなければならない。
They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it. According to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it.
13 しかし、その身は清く、旅に出てもいないのに、過越の祭を行わないときは、その人は民のうちから断たれるであろう。このような人は、定めの時に主の供え物をささげないゆえ、その罪を負わなければならない。
But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he did not offer the offering of the LORD in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
14 もし他国の人が、あなたがたのうちに寄留していて、主に対して過越の祭を行おうとするならば、過越の祭の定めにより、そのおきてにしたがって、これを行わなければならない。あなたがたは他国の人にも、自国の人にも、同一の定めを用いなければならない』」。
If a foreigner lives among you, and desires to keep the Passover to the LORD; according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance, so shall he do. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner, and for him who is born in the land.'"
15 幕屋を建てた日に、雲は幕屋をおおった。すれはすなわち、あかしの幕屋であって、夕には、幕屋の上に、雲は火のように見えて、朝にまで及んだ。
On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony: and at evening it was over the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.
16 常にそうであって、昼は雲がそれをおおい、夜は火のように見えた。
So it was continually. The cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 雲が幕屋を離れてのぼる時は、イスラエルの人々は、ただちに道に進んだ。また雲がとどまる所に、イスラエルの人々は宿営した。
Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel camped.
18 すなわち、イスラエルの人々は、主の命によって道に進み、主の命によって宿営し、幕屋の上に雲がとどまっている間は、宿営していた。
At the commandment of the LORD, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of the LORD they camped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained camped.
19 幕屋の上に、日久しく雲のとどまる時は、イスラエルの人々は主の言いつけを守って、道に進まなかった。
When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the command of God, and did not travel.
20 また幕屋の上に、雲のとどまる日の少ない時もあったが、彼らは、ただ主の命にしたがって宿営し、主の命にしたがって、道に進んだ。
Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of the LORD they remained camped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they traveled.
21 また雲は夕から朝まで、とどまることもあったが、朝になって、雲がのぼる時は、彼らは道に進んだ。また昼でも夜でも、雲がのぼる時は、彼らは道に進んだ。
Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled: or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.
22 ふつかでも、一か月でも、あるいはそれ以上でも、幕屋の上に、雲がとどまっている間は、イスラエルの人々は宿営していて、道に進まなかったが、それがのぼると道に進んだ。
Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained camped, and did not travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.
23 すなわち、彼らは主の命にしたがって宿営し、主の命にしたがって道に進み、モーセによって、主が命じられたとおりに、主の言いつけを守った。
At the commandment of the LORD they camped, and at the commandment of the LORD they traveled. They kept the LORD's command, at the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
