1 主はモーセとアロンに言われた、
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron:
2 「イスラエルの人々は、おのおのその部隊の旗のもとに、その父祖の家の旗印にしたがって宿営しなければならない。また会見の幕屋のまわりに、それに向かって宿営しなければならない。
“The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it, each man under his standard, with the banners of his family.
3 すなわち、日の出る方、東に宿営するものは、ユダの宿営の旗につく者であって、その部隊にしたがって宿営し、アミナダブの子ナションが、ユダの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
On the east side, toward the sunrise, the divisions of Judah are to camp under their standard: The leader of the descendants of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab,
4 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は七万四千六百人である。
and his division numbers 74,600.
5 そのかたわらに宿営する者はイッサカルの部族で、ツアルの子ネタニエルが、イッサカルの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
The tribe of Issachar will camp next to it. The leader of the Issacharites is Nethanel son of Zuar,
6 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は五万四千四百人である。
and his division numbers 54,400.
7 次はゼブルンの部族で、ヘロンの子エリアブが、ゼブルンの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
Next will be the tribe of Zebulun. The leader of the Zebulunites is Eliab son of Helon,
8 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は五万七千四百人である。
and his division numbers 57,400.
9 ユダの宿営の、その部隊にしたがって数えられた者は、合わせて十八万六千四百人である。これらの者は、まっ先に進まなければならない。
The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Judah is 186,400; they shall set out first.
10 南の方では、ルベンの宿営の旗につく者が、その部隊にしたがっており、シデウルの子エリヅルが、ルベンの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
On the south side, the divisions of Reuben are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Reubenites is Elizur son of Shedeur,
11 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は四万六千五百人である。
and his division numbers 46,500.
12 そのかたわらに宿営する者はシメオンの部族で、ツリシャダイの子シルミエルが、シメオンの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
The tribe of Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,
13 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は五万九千三百人である。
and his division numbers 59,300.
14 次はガドの部族で、デウエルの子エリアサフが、ガドの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
Next will be the tribe of Gad. The leader of the Gadites is Eliasaph son of Deuel,
15 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は四万五千六百五十人である。
and his division numbers 45,650.
16 ルベンの宿営の、その部隊にしたがって数えられた者は、合わせて十五万一千四百五十人である。これらの者は二番目に進まなければならない。
The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Reuben is 151,450; they shall set out second.
17 その次に会見の幕屋を、レビびとの宿営とともに、もろもろの宿営の中央にして進まなければならない。彼らは宿営するのと同じように、おのおのその位置で、その旗にしたがって進まなければならない。
In the middle of the camps, the Tent of Meeting is to travel with the camp of the Levites. They are to set out in the order they encamped, each in his own place under his standard.
18 西の方では、エフライムの宿営の旗につく者が、その部隊にしたがっており、アミホデの子エリシャマが、エフライムの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
On the west side, the divisions of Ephraim are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Ephraimites is Elishama son of Ammihud,
19 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は四万五百人である。
and his division numbers 40,500.
20 そのかたわらにマナセの部族がおって、パダヅルの子ガマリエルが、マナセの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
The tribe of Manasseh will be next to it. The leader of the Manassites is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,
21 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は三万二千二百人である。
and his division numbers 32,200.
22 次にベニヤミンの部族がおって、ギデオニの子アビダンが、ベニヤミンの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
Next will be the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the Benjamites is Abidan son of Gideoni,
23 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は三万五千四百人である。
and his division numbers 35,400.
24 エフライムの宿営の、その部隊にしたがって数えられた者は、合わせて十万八千百人である。これらの者は三番目に進まなければならない。
The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Ephraim is 108,100; they shall set out third.
25 北の方では、ダンの宿営の旗につく者が、その部隊にしたがっており、アミシャダイの子アヒエゼルが、ダンの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
On the north side, the divisions of Dan are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Danites is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai,
26 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は六万二千七百人である。
and his division numbers 62,700.
27 そのかたわらに宿営する者は、アセルの部族であって、オクランの子パギエルが、アセルの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ocran,
28 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は四万一千五百人である。
and his division numbers 41,500.
29 次にナフタリの部族がおって、エナンの子アヒラが、ナフタリの子たちのつかさとなるであろう。
Next will be the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the Naphtalites is Ahira son of Enan,
30 その部隊、すなわち、数えられた者は五万三千四百人である。
and his division numbers 53,400.
31 ダンの宿営の、数えられた者は合わせて十五万七千六百人である。これらの者はその旗にしたがって、最後に進まなければならない」。
The total number of men in the camp of Dan is 157,600; they shall set out last, under their standards.”
32 これがイスラエルの人々の、その父祖の家にしたがって数えられた人々である。もろもろの宿営の、その部隊にしたがって数えられた者は合わせて六十万三千五百五十人であった。
These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. The total of those counted in the camps, by their divisions, was 603,550.
33 しかし、レビびとはイスラエルの人々のうちに数えられなかった。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。
But the Levites were not counted among the other Israelites, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
34 イスラエルの人々は、すべて主がモーセに命じられたとおりに行い、その旗にしたがって宿営し、おのおのその氏族に従い、その父祖の家に従って進んだ。
So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
