ネヘミヤ 記 7
1 城壁が築かれて、とびらを設け、さらに門衛、歌うたう者およびレビびとを任命したので、
And it comes to pass, when the wall has been built, that I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers are appointed, and the singers, and the Levites,
2 わたしは、わたしの兄弟ハナニと、城のつかさハナニヤに命じて、エルサレムを治めさせた。彼は多くの者にまさって忠信な、神を恐れる者であったからである。
and I charge my brother Hanani, and Hananiah head of the palace, concerning Jerusalem—for he [is] as a man of truth, and fearing God above many—
3 わたしは彼らに言った、「日の暑くなるまではエルサレムのもろもろの門を開いてはならない。人々が立って守っている間に門を閉じさせ、貫の木を差せ。またエルサレムの住民の中から番兵を立てて、おのおのにその所を守らせ、またおのおのの家と向かい合う所を守らせよ」。
and I say to them, “Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the heat of the sun, and while they are standing by let them shut the doors, and fasten, and appoint guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each at his watch, and each in front of his house.”
4 町は広くて大きかったが、その内の民は少なく、家々はまだ建てられていなかった。
And the city [is] broad on both sides, and great, and the people [are] few in its midst, and there are no houses built;
5 時に神はわたしの心に、尊い人々、つかさおよび民を集めて、家系によってその名簿をしらべようとの思いを起された。わたしは最初に上って来た人々の系図を発見し、その中にこのようにしるしてあるのを見いだした。
and my God puts it to my heart, and I gather the nobles, and the prefects, and the people, for the genealogy, and I find a scroll of the genealogy of those coming up at the beginning, and I find written in it:
6 バビロンの王ネブカデネザルが捕え移した捕囚のうち、ゆるされてエルサレムおよびユダに上り、おのおの自分の町に帰ったこの州の人々は次のとおりである。
These [are] sons of the province, those coming up of the captives of the expulsion that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed—and they return to Jerusalem and to Judah, each to his city—
7 彼らはゼルバベル、エシュア、ネヘミヤ、アザリヤ、ラアミヤ、ナハマニ、モルデカイ、ビルシャン、ミスペレテ、ビグワイ、ネホム、バアナと一緒に帰ってきた者たちである。そのイスラエルの民の人数は次のとおりである。
who are coming in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
8 パロシの子孫は二千百七十二人。
sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;
9 シパテヤの子孫は三百七十二人。
sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two;
10 アラの子孫は六百五十二人。
sons of Arah, six hundred fifty-two;
11 パハテ・モアブの子孫すなわちエシュアとヨアブの子孫は二千八百十八人。
sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen;
12 エラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人。
sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
13 ザットの子孫は八百四十五人。
sons of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five;
14 ザッカイの子孫は七百六十人。
sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
15 ビンヌイの子孫は六百四十八人。
sons of Binnui, six hundred forty-eight;
16 ベバイの子孫は六百二十八人。
sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight;
17 アズガデの子孫は二千三百二十二人。
sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two;
18 アドニカムの子孫は六百六十七人。
sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven;
19 ビグワイの子孫は二千六十七人。
sons of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven;
20 アデンの子孫は六百五十五人。
sons of Adin, six hundred fifty-five;
21 ヒゼキヤの家のアテルの子孫は九十八人。
sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;
22 ハシュムの子孫は三百二十八人。
sons of Hashum, three hundred twenty-eight;
23 ベザイの子孫は三百二十四人。
sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four;
24 ハリフの子孫は百十二人。
sons of Hariph, one hundred [and] twelve;
25 ギベオンの子孫は九十五人。
sons of Gibeon, ninety-five;
26 ベツレヘムおよびネトパの人々は百八十八人。
men of Beth-Lehem and Netophah, one hundred eighty-eight;
27 アナトテの人々は百二十八人。
men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight;
28 ベテ・アズマウテの人々は四十二人。
men of Beth-Azmaveth, forty-two;
29 キリアテ・ヤリム、ケピラおよびベエロテの人々は七百四十三人。
men of Kirjath-Jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three;
30 ラマおよびゲバの人々は六百二十一人。
men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty-one;
31 ミクマシの人々は百二十二人。
men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two;
32 ベテルおよびアイの人々は百二十三人。
men of Bethel and Ai, one hundred twenty-three;
33 ほかのネボの人々は五十二人。
men of the other Nebo, fifty-two;
34 ほかのエラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人。
sons of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
35 ハリムの子孫は三百二十人。
sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;
36 エリコの人々は三百四十五人。
sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five;
37 ロド、ハデデおよびオノの人々は七百二十一人。
sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-one;
38 セナアの子孫は三千九百三十人。
sons of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 祭司では、エシュアの家のエダヤの子孫が九百七十三人。
The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;
40 インメルの子孫が一千五十二人。
sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two;
41 パシュルの子孫が一千二百四十七人。
sons of Pashur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven;
42 ハリムの子孫が一千十七人。
sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.
43 レビびとでは、エシュアの子孫すなわちホデワの子孫のうちのカデミエルの子孫が七十四人。
The Levites: sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of sons of Hodevah, seventy-four.
44 歌うたう者では、アサフの子孫が百四十八人。
The singers: sons of Asaph, one hundred forty-eight.
45 門衛では、シャルムの子孫、アテルの子孫、タルモンの子孫、アックブの子孫、ハテタの子孫およびショバイの子孫合わせて百三十八人。
The gatekeepers: sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai: one hundred thirty-eight.
46 宮に仕えるしもべでは、ジハの子孫、ハスパの子孫、タバオテの子孫、
The Nethinim: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,
47 ケロスの子孫、シアの子孫、パドンの子孫、
sons of Keros, sons of Sia, sons of Padon,
48 レバナの子孫、ハガバの子孫、サルマイの子孫、
sons of Lebanah, sons of Hagaba, sons of Shalmai,
49 ハナンの子孫、ギデルの子孫、ガハルの子孫、
sons of Hanan, sons of Giddel, sons of Gahar,
50 レアヤの子孫、レヂンの子孫、ネコダの子孫、
sons of Reaiah, sons of Rezin, sons of Nekoda,
51 ガザムの子孫、ウザの子孫、パセアの子孫、
sons of Gazzam, sons of Uzza, sons of Phaseah,
52 ベサイの子孫、メウニムの子孫、ネフセシムの子孫、
sons of Bezai, sons of Meunim, sons of Nephishesim,
53 バクブクの子孫、ハクパの子孫、ハルホルの子孫、
sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,
54 バヅリテの子孫、メヒダの子孫、ハルシャの子孫、
sons of Bazlith, sons of Mehida, sons of Harsha,
55 バルコスの子孫、シセラの子孫、テマの子孫、
sons of Barkos, sons of Sisera, sons of Tamah,
56 ネヂアの子孫およびハテパの子孫。
sons of Neziah, sons of Hatipha.
57 ソロモンのしもべであった者たちの子孫では、ソタイの子孫、ソペレテの子孫、ペリダの子孫、
Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Perida,
58 ヤアラの子孫、ダルコンの子孫、ギデルの子孫、
sons of Jaala, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,
59 シパテヤの子孫、ハッテルの子孫、ポケレテ・ハッゼバイムの子孫、アモンの子孫。
sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Amon.
60 宮に仕えるしもべたちとソロモンのしもべであった者たちの子孫とは合わせて三百九十二人。
All the Nethinim and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety-two.
61 テルメラ、テルハレサ、ケルブ、アドンおよびインメルから上って来た者があったが、その氏族と、血統とを示して、イスラエルの者であることを明らかにすることができなかった。その人々は次のとおりである。
And these [are] those coming up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer—and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel—
62 すなわちデラヤの子孫、トビヤの子孫、ネコダの子孫であって、合わせて六百四十二人。
sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.
63 また祭司のうちにホバヤの子孫、ハッコヅの子孫、バルジライの子孫がある。バルジライはギレアデびとバルジライの娘たちのうちから妻をめとったので、その名で呼ばれた。
And of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who has taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and is called by their name).
64 これらの者はこの系図に載った者のうちに、自分の籍をたずねたが、なかったので、汚れた者として祭司の職から除かれた。
These have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and it has not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,
65 総督は彼らに告げて、ウリムとトンミムを帯びる祭司の起るまでは、いと聖なる物を食べてはならぬと言った。
and the Tirshatha says to them that they do not eat of the most holy things until the standing up of the priest with [the] Lights and Perfections.
66 会衆は合わせて四万二千三百六十人であった。
All the assembly together [is] forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
67 このほかに男女の奴隷が七千三百三十七人、歌うたう者が男女合わせて二百四十五人あった。
apart from their servants and their handmaids—these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven; and of them [are] male and female singers, two hundred forty-five.
68 その馬は七百三十六頭、その騾馬は二百四十五頭、
Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred [and] forty-five;
69 そのらくだは四百三十五頭、そのろばは六千七百二十頭であった。
camels, four hundred thirty-five; donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 氏族の長のうち工事のためにささげ物をした人々があった。総督は金一千ダリク、鉢五十、祭司の衣服五百三十かさねを倉に納めた。
And from the extremity of the heads of the fathers they have given to the work; the Tirshatha has given to the treasure, one thousand drams of gold, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty priests’ coats.
71 また氏族の長のうちのある人々は金二万ダリク、銀二千二百ミナを工事のために倉に納めた。
And of the heads of the fathers they have given to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.
72 その他の民の納めたものは金二万ダリク、銀二千ミナ、祭司の衣服六十七かさねであった。
And that which the rest of the people have given [is] twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven priests’ coats.
73 こうして祭司、レビびと、門衛、歌うたう者、民のうちのある人々、宮に仕えるしもべたち、およびイスラエルびとは皆その町々に住んだ。イスラエルの人々はその町々に住んで七月になった。
And they dwell—the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel—in their cities, and the seventh month comes, and the sons of Israel [are] in their cities.
