ミカ書 3
1 わたしは言った、ヤコブのかしらたちよ、イスラエルの家のつかさたちよ、聞け、公義はあなたがたの知っておるべきことではないか。
And I said: Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?
2 あなたがたは善を憎み、悪を愛し、わが民の身から皮をはぎ、その骨から肉をそぎ、
Who hate the good, and love the evil; who rob their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 またわが民の肉を食らい、その皮をはぎ、その骨を砕き、これを切りきざんで、なべに入れる食物のようにし、大なべに入れる肉のようにする。
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones; yea, they chop them in pieces, as that which is in the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4 こうして彼らが主に呼ばわっても、主はお答えにならない。かえってその時には、み顔を彼らに隠される。彼らのおこないが悪いからである。
Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but He will not answer them; yea, He will hide His face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.
5 わが民を惑わす預言者について主はこう言われる、彼らは食べ物のある時には、「平安」を叫ぶけれども、その口に何も与えない者にむかっては、宣戦を布告する。
Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that cry: 'Peace', when their teeth have any thing to bite; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:
6 それゆえ、あなたがたには夜があっても幻がなく、暗やみがあっても占いがない。太陽はその預言者たちに没し、昼も彼らの上に暗くなる。
Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
7 先見者は恥をかき、占い師は顔をあからめ、彼らは皆そのくちびるをおおう。神の答がないからである。
And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their upper lips; for there shall be no answer of God.
8 しかしわたしは主のみたまによって力に満ち、公義と勇気とに満たされ、ヤコブにそのとがを示し、イスラエルにその罪を示すことができる。
But I truly am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 ヤコブの家のかしらたち、イスラエルの家のつかさたちよ、すなわち公義を憎み、すべての正しい事を曲げる者よ、これを聞け。
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity;
10 あなたがたは血をもってシオンを建て、不義をもってエルサレムを建てた。
That build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 そのかしらたちは、まいないをとってさばき、その祭司たちは価をとって教え、その預言者たちは金をとって占う。しかもなお彼らは主に寄り頼んで、「主はわれわれの中におられるではないか、だから災はわれわれに臨むことがない」と言う。
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say: 'Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us'?
12 それゆえ、シオンはあなたがたのゆえに田畑となって耕され、エルサレムは石塚となり、宮の山は木のおい茂る高い所となる。
Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
