マルコの福音書 14
1 さて、過越と除酵との祭の二日前になった。祭司長たちや律法学者たちは、策略をもってイエスを捕えたうえ、なんとかして殺そうと計っていた。
It was two days before the Passover and the Unleavened Bread. The chief priests and the scribes were looking for an underhanded way to seize and kill Him.
2 彼らは、「祭の間はいけない。民衆が騒ぎを起すかも知れない」と言っていた。
But they said, “Not during the feast, or the people may riot.”
3 イエスがベタニヤで、らい病人シモンの家にいて、食卓についておられたとき、ひとりの女が、非常に高価で純粋なナルドの香油が入れてある石膏のつぼを持ってきて、それをこわし、香油をイエスの頭に注ぎかけた。
Being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He was reclining at a meal, a woman came having an alabaster vase of very costly perfume of pure nard. Then she broke the vase and began to pour it over His head.
4 すると、ある人々が憤って互に言った、「なんのために香油をこんなにむだにするのか。
But there were some who were expressing indignation to one another and saying: “To what purpose was this perfume wasted?
5 この香油を三百デナリ以上にでも売って、貧しい人たちに施すことができたのに」。そして女をきびしくとがめた。
It could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor!” And they started censuring her.
6 するとイエスは言われた、「するままにさせておきなさい。なぜ女を困らせるのか。わたしによい事をしてくれたのだ。
But Jesus said: “Leave her alone! Why are you bothering her? She has done something useful to me.
7 貧しい人たちはいつもあなたがたと一緒にいるから、したいときにはいつでも、よい事をしてやれる。しかし、わたしはあなたがたといつも一緒にいるわけではない。
You will always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish you can do them good; but you will not always have me.
8 この女はできる限りの事をしたのだ。すなわち、わたしのからだに油を注いで、あらかじめ葬りの用意をしてくれたのである。
She did what she could. She has perfumed my body for the burying before the fact.
9 よく聞きなさい。全世界のどこででも、福音が宣べ伝えられる所では、この女のした事も記念として語られるであろう」。
Assuredly I tell you, wherever this Gospel may be proclaimed throughout the whole world, what she has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”
10 ときに、十二弟子のひとりイスカリオテのユダは、イエスを祭司長たちに引きわたそうとして、彼らの所へ行った。
Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests, so as to betray Him to them.
11 彼らはこれを聞いて喜び、金を与えることを約束した。そこでユダは、どうかしてイエスを引きわたそうと、機会をねらっていた。
Well upon hearing it they rejoiced and promised to give him silver coins. So he started figuring how he might conveniently betray Him.
12 除酵祭の第一日、すなわち過越の小羊をほふる日に、弟子たちがイエスに尋ねた、「わたしたちは、過越の食事をなさる用意を、どこへ行ってしたらよいでしょうか」。
Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they would sacrifice the Paschal lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where do you want us to go and prepare, so that you may eat the Passover?”
13 そこで、イエスはふたりの弟子を使いに出して言われた、「市内に行くと、水がめを持っている男に出会うであろう。その人について行きなさい。
So He sent two of His disciples, saying to them: “Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a clay jar of water; follow him.
14 そして、その人がはいって行く家の主人に言いなさい、『弟子たちと一緒に過越の食事をする座敷はどこか、と先生が言っておられます』。
Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, ‘The teacher says, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
15 するとその主人は、席を整えて用意された二階の広間を見せてくれるから、そこにわたしたちのために用意をしなさい」。
He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready; there prepare for us.”
16 弟子たちは出かけて市内に行って見ると、イエスが言われたとおりであったので、過越の食事の用意をした。
So His disciples set out and came into the city and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.
17 夕方になって、イエスは十二弟子と一緒にそこに行かれた。
When it was evening He came with the twelve.
18 そして、一同が席について食事をしているとき言われた、「特にあなたがたに言っておくが、あなたがたの中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に食事をしている者が、わたしを裏切ろうとしている」。
Now as they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, “Assuredly I tell you, one of you who is eating with me will betray me.”
19 弟子たちは心配して、ひとりびとり「まさか、わたしではないでしょう」と言い出した。
So they began to be sorrowful and to say to Him one by one, “Surely not I?” And another, “Surely not I?”
20 イエスは言われた、「十二人の中のひとりで、わたしと一緒に同じ鉢にパンをひたしている者が、それである。
He answered and said to them: “It is one of the twelve, the one dipping with me in the bowl.
21 たしかに人の子は、自分について書いてあるとおりに去って行く。しかし、人の子を裏切るその人は、わざわいである。その人は生れなかった方が、彼のためによかったであろう」。
The Son of the Man is indeed going just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of the Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man not to have been born.”
22 一同が食事をしているとき、イエスはパンを取り、祝福してこれをさき、弟子たちに与えて言われた、「取れ、これはわたしのからだである」。
As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
23 また杯を取り、感謝して彼らに与えられると、一同はその杯から飲んだ。
Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank it.
24 イエスはまた言われた、「これは、多くの人のために流すわたしの契約の血である。
And He said to them: “This is my blood, that of the new covenant, that is being shed for many.
25 あなたがたによく言っておく。神の国で新しく飲むその日までは、わたしは決して二度と、ぶどうの実から造ったものを飲むことをしない」。
I tell you assuredly that I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”
26 彼らは、さんびを歌った後、オリブ山へ出かけて行った。
And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
27 そのとき、イエスは弟子たちに言われた、「あなたがたは皆、わたしにつまずくであろう。『わたしは羊飼を打つ。そして、羊は散らされるであろう』と書いてあるからである。
Then Jesus said to them: “All of you will be caused to stumble because of me this night, because it is written: ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’
28 しかしわたしは、よみがえってから、あなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行くであろう」。
But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
29 するとペテロはイエスに言った、「たとい、みんなの者がつまずいても、わたしはつまずきません」。
But Peter said to Him, “Even if all are caused to stumble, yet not I.”
30 イエスは言われた、「あなたによく言っておく。きょう、今夜、にわとりが二度鳴く前に、そう言うあなたが、三度わたしを知らないと言うだろう」。
Jesus said to him, “I tell you assuredly that you, today, this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”
31 ペテロは力をこめて言った、「たといあなたと一緒に死なねばならなくなっても、あなたを知らないなどとは、決して申しません」。みんなの者もまた、同じようなことを言った。
But he insisted even more vehemently, “If I have to die with you, I will absolutely not deny you!” And all the others said the same.
32 さて、一同はゲツセマネという所にきた。そしてイエスは弟子たちに言われた、「わたしが祈っている間、ここにすわっていなさい」。
Then they came to a place that was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”
33 そしてペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネを一緒に連れて行かれたが、恐れおののき、また悩みはじめて、彼らに言われた、
But He took with Him Peter, James and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.
34 「わたしは悲しみのあまり死ぬほどである。ここに待っていて、目をさましていなさい」。
And He said to them: “My soul is overwhelmed with grief, to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”
35 そして少し進んで行き、地にひれ伏し、もしできることなら、この時を過ぎ去らせてくださるようにと祈りつづけ、そして言われた、
Going on a little, He fell to the ground and started praying that if it were possible the hour might pass from Him.
36 「アバ、父よ、あなたには、できないことはありません。どうか、この杯をわたしから取りのけてください。しかし、わたしの思いではなく、みこころのままになさってください」。
And He said: “Abba (Father), all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me; yet not what I will, but what you will.”
37 それから、きてごらんになると、弟子たちが眠っていたので、ペテロに言われた、「シモンよ、眠っているのか、ひと時も目をさましていることができなかったのか。
Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter: “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn't you keep watch for even one hour?
38 誘惑に陥らないように、目をさまして祈っていなさい。心は熱しているが、肉体が弱いのである」。
Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
39 また離れて行って同じ言葉で祈られた。
Again He went away and prayed, saying the same thing.
40 またきてごらんになると、彼らはまだ眠っていた。その目が重くなっていたのである。そして、彼らはどうお答えしてよいか、わからなかった。
And when He returned He found them sleeping again, because their eyes were being weighed down; and they did not know how to answer Him.
41 三度目にきて言われた、「まだ眠っているのか、休んでいるのか。もうそれでよかろう。時がきた。見よ、人の子は罪人らの手に渡されるのだ。
Then He came the third time and said to them: “You are still sleeping and resting! It is enough, the hour has come; yes, the Son of the Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 立て、さあ行こう。見よ、わたしを裏切る者が近づいてきた」。
Get up, let's be going. See, my betrayer has approached.”
43 そしてすぐ、イエスがまだ話しておられるうちに、十二弟子のひとりのユダが進みよってきた。また祭司長、律法学者、長老たちから送られた群衆も、剣と棒とを持って彼についてきた。
And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived, and with him a considerable crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
44 イエスを裏切る者は、あらかじめ彼らに合図をしておいた、「わたしの接吻する者が、その人だ。その人をつかまえて、まちがいなく引ひっぱって行け」。
Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, he it is; seize him and take him away securely.”
45 彼は来るとすぐ、イエスに近寄り、「先生」と言って接吻した。
So upon arriving he went directly to Him and said to Him, “Rabbi, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
46 人々はイエスに手をかけてつかまえた。
So they laid their hands on Him and secured Him.
47 すると、イエスのそばに立っていた者のひとりが、剣を抜いて大祭司の僕に切りかかり、その片耳を切り落した。
But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
48 イエスは彼らにむかって言われた、「あなたがたは強盗にむかうように、剣や棒を持ってわたしを捕えにきたのか。
Then Jesus reacted by saying to them: “You have come out with swords and clubs to arrest me, as if I were a bandit.
49 わたしは毎日あなたがたと一緒に宮にいて教えていたのに、わたしをつかまえはしなかった。しかし聖書の言葉は成就されねばならない」。
I was with you daily in the temple, teaching, and you did not seize me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”
50 弟子たちは皆イエスを見捨てて逃げ去った。
Then they all deserted Him and ran away.
51 ときに、ある若者が身に亜麻布をまとって、イエスのあとについて行ったが、人々が彼をつかまえようとしたので、
Now a certain young man had followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. The young men grabbed him,
52 その亜麻布を捨てて、裸で逃げて行った。
so leaving the linen cloth he fled from them naked.
53 それから、イエスを大祭司のところに連れて行くと、祭司長、長老、律法学者たちがみな集まってきた。
They led Jesus away to the high priest; and with him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes.
54 ペテロは遠くからイエスについて行って、大祭司の中庭まではいり込み、その下役どもにまじってすわり、火にあたっていた。
Well Peter had followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the operatives and warming himself at the fire.
55 さて、祭司長たちと全議会とは、イエスを死刑にするために、イエスに不利な証拠を見つけようとしたが、得られなかった。
Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking testimony against Jesus so as to kill Him, but were not finding any.
56 多くの者がイエスに対して偽証を立てたが、その証言が合わなかったからである。
To be sure, many were testifying falsely against Him, but their statements did not agree.
57 ついに、ある人々が立ちあがり、イエスに対して偽証を立てて言った、
Then some stood up and started testifying falsely against Him, saying,
58 「わたしたちはこの人が『わたしは手で造ったこの神殿を打ちこわし、三日の後に手で造られない別の神殿を建てるのだ』と言うのを聞きました」。
“We heard him saying: ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’”
59 しかし、このような証言も互に合わなかった。
But not even then did their testimony agree.
60 そこで大祭司が立ちあがって、まん中に進み、イエスに聞きただして言った、「何も答えないのか。これらの人々があなたに対して不利な証言を申し立てているが、どうなのか」。
Then the high priest stood up in the center and questioned Jesus, saying: “Are you not going to answer? What are these testifying against you?”
61 しかし、イエスは黙っていて、何もお答えにならなかった。大祭司は再び聞きただして言った、「あなたは、ほむべき者の子、キリストであるか」。
But He remained silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest questioned Him and said to Him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
62 イエスは言われた、「わたしがそれである。あなたがたは人の子が力ある者の右に座し、天の雲に乗って来るのを見るであろう」。
So Jesus said: “I am, and you will see the Son of the Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of the heaven.”
63 すると、大祭司はその衣を引き裂いて言った、「どうして、これ以上、証人の必要があろう。
Then the high priest tore his clothes and said: “What further need do we have of witnesses?
64 あなたがたはこのけがし言を聞いた。あなたがたの意見はどうか」。すると、彼らは皆、イエスを死に当るものと断定した。
You heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” They all condemned Him to be deserving of death.
65 そして、ある者はイエスにつばきをかけ、目隠しをし、こぶしでたたいて、「言いあててみよ」と言いはじめた。また下役どもはイエスを引きとって、手のひらでたたいた。
Then some began to spit on Him, to cover His face, punch Him and say to Him, “Prophesy!” And the operatives started slapping Him.
66 ペテロは下で中庭にいたが、大祭司の女中のひとりがきて、
Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by.
67 ペテロが火にあたっているのを見ると、彼を見つめて、「あなたもあのナザレ人イエスと一緒だった」と言った。
And seeing Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Natsarene!”
68 するとペテロはそれを打ち消して、「わたしは知らない。あなたの言うことがなんの事か、わからない」と言って、庭口の方に出て行った。
But Peter denied, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” And he went out into the entryway, and a rooster crowed.
69 ところが、先の女中が彼を見て、そばに立っていた人々に、またもや「この人はあの仲間のひとりです」と言いだした。
But that servant girl saw him again and began to say to those standing by, “This guy is one of them.”
70 ペテロは再びそれを打ち消した。しばらくして、そばに立っていた人たちがまたペテロに言った、「確かにあなたは彼らの仲間だ。あなたもガリラヤ人だから」。
But again he kept denying it. Again, after a little while, those who were standing by said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them; because you really are a Galilean, and your accent agrees!”
71 しかし、彼は、「あなたがたの話しているその人のことは何も知らない」と言い張って、激しく誓いはじめた。
Then he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you are speaking!”
72 するとすぐ、にわとりが二度目に鳴いた。ペテロは、「にわとりが二度鳴く前に、三度わたしを知らないと言うであろう」と言われたイエスの言葉を思い出し、そして思いかえして泣きつづけた。
And for the second time a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” He broke down and started to cry.
