マルコの福音書 1
1 神の子イエス・キリストの福音のはじめ。
Beginning of the glad tidings of Jesus Christ, Son of God;
2 預言者イザヤの書に、「見よ、わたしは使をあなたの先につかわし、あなたの道を整えさせるであろう。
as it is written in [Isaiah] the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way.
3 荒野で呼ばわる者の声がする、『主の道を備えよ、その道筋をまっすぐにせよ』」と書いてあるように、
Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of [the] Lord, make his paths straight.
4 バプテスマのヨハネが荒野に現れて、罪のゆるしを得させる悔改めのバプテスマを宣べ伝えていた。
There came John baptising in the wilderness, and preaching [the] baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
5 そこで、ユダヤ全土とエルサレムの全住民とが、彼のもとにぞくぞくと出て行って、自分の罪を告白し、ヨルダン川でヨハネからバプテスマを受けた。
And there went out to him all the district of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem, and were baptised by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 このヨハネは、らくだの毛ごろもを身にまとい、腰に皮の帯をしめ、いなごと野蜜とを食物としていた。
And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins, and ate locusts and wild honey.
7 彼は宣べ伝えて言った、「わたしよりも力のあるかたが、あとからおいでになる。わたしはかがんで、そのくつのひもを解く値うちもない。
And he preached, saying, There comes he that is mightier than I after me, the thong of whose sandals I am not fit to stoop down and unloose.
8 わたしは水でバプテスマを授けたが、このかたは、聖霊によってバプテスマをお授けになるであろう」。
I indeed have baptised you with water, but he shall baptise you with [the] Holy Spirit.
9 そのころ、イエスはガリラヤのナザレから出てきて、ヨルダン川で、ヨハネからバプテスマをお受けになった。
And it came to pass in those days [that] Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptised by John at the Jordan.
10 そして、水の中から上がられるとすぐ、天が裂けて、聖霊がはとのように自分に下って来るのを、ごらんになった。
And straightway going up from the water, he saw the heavens parting asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descending upon him.
11 すると天から声があった、「あなたはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心にかなう者である」。
And there came a voice out of the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.
12 それからすぐに、御霊がイエスを荒野に追いやった。
And immediately the Spirit drives him out into the wilderness.
13 イエスは四十日のあいだ荒野にいて、サタンの試みにあわれた。そして獣もそこにいたが、御使たちはイエスに仕えていた。
And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
14 ヨハネが捕えられた後、イエスはガリラヤに行き、神の福音を宣べ伝えて言われた、
But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom of God,
15 「時は満ちた、神の国は近づいた。悔い改めて福音を信ぜよ」。
and saying, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn nigh; repent and believe in the glad tidings.
16 さて、イエスはガリラヤの海べを歩いて行かれ、シモンとシモンの兄弟アンデレとが、海で網を打っているのをごらんになった。彼らは漁師であった。
And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew, [Simon's] brother, casting out a net in the sea, for they were fishers.
17 イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしについてきなさい。あなたがたを、人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう」。
And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men;
18 すると、彼らはすぐに網を捨てて、イエスに従った。
and straightway leaving their trawl-nets they followed him.
19 また少し進んで行かれると、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネとが、舟の中で網を繕っているのをごらんになった。
And going on thence a little, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, and these [were] in the ship repairing the trawl-nets;
20 そこで、すぐ彼らをお招きになると、父ゼベダイを雇人たちと一緒に舟において、イエスのあとについて行った。
and straightway he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, they went away after him.
21 それから、彼らはカペナウムに行った。そして安息日にすぐ、イエスは会堂にはいって教えられた。
And they go into Capernaum. And straightway on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.
22 人々は、その教に驚いた。律法学者たちのようにではなく、権威ある者のように、教えられたからである。
And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
23 ちょうどその時、けがれた霊につかれた者が会堂にいて、叫んで言った、
And there was in their synagogue a man [possessed] by an unclean spirit, and he cried out
24 「ナザレのイエスよ、あなたはわたしたちとなんの係わりがあるのです。わたしたちを滅ぼしにこられたのですか。あなたがどなたであるか、わかっています。神の聖者です」。
saying, Eh! what have we to do with thee, Jesus, Nazarene? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.
25 イエスはこれをしかって、「黙れ、この人から出て行け」と言われた。
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace and come out of him.
26 すると、けがれた霊は彼をひきつけさせ、大声をあげて、その人から出て行った。
And the unclean spirit, having torn him, and uttered a cry with a loud voice, came out of him.
27 人々はみな驚きのあまり、互に論じて言った、「これは、いったい何事か。権威ある新しい教だ。けがれた霊にさえ命じられると、彼らは従うのだ」。
And all were amazed, so that they questioned together among themselves, saying, What is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
28 こうしてイエスのうわさは、たちまちガリラヤの全地方、いたる所にひろまった。
And his fame went out straightway into the whole region of Galilee around.
29 それから会堂を出るとすぐ、ヤコブとヨハネとを連れて、シモンとアンデレとの家にはいって行かれた。
And straightway going out of the synagogue, they came with James and John into the house of Simon and Andrew.
30 ところが、シモンのしゅうとめが熱病で床についていたので、人々はさっそく、そのことをイエスに知らせた。
And the mother-in-law of Simon lay in a fever. And straightway they speak to him about her.
31 イエスは近寄り、その手をとって起されると、熱が引き、女は彼らをもてなした。
And he went up to [her] and raised her up, having taken her by the hand, and straightway the fever left her, and she served them.
32 夕暮になり日が沈むと、人々は病人や悪霊につかれた者をみな、イエスのところに連れてきた。
But evening being come, when the sun had gone down, they brought to him all that were suffering, and those possessed by demons;
33 こうして、町中の者が戸口に集まった。
and the whole city was gathered together at the door.
34 イエスは、さまざまの病をわずらっている多くの人々をいやし、また多くの悪霊を追い出された。また、悪霊どもに、物言うことをお許しにならなかった。彼らがイエスを知っていたからである。
And he healed many suffering from various diseases; and he cast out many demons, and did not suffer the demons to speak because they knew him.
35 朝はやく、夜の明けるよほど前に、イエスは起きて寂しい所へ出て行き、そこで祈っておられた。
And rising in the morning long before day, he went out and went away into a desert place, and there prayed.
36 すると、シモンとその仲間とが、あとを追ってきた。
And Simon and those with him went after him:
37 そしてイエスを見つけて、「みんなが、あなたを捜しています」と言った。
and having found him, they say to him, All seek thee.
38 イエスは彼らに言われた、「ほかの、附近の町々にみんなで行って、そこでも教を宣べ伝えよう。わたしはこのために出てきたのだから」。
And he says to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighbouring country towns, that I may preach there also, for for this purpose am I come forth.
39 そして、ガリラヤ全地を巡りあるいて、諸会堂で教を宣べ伝え、また悪霊を追い出された。
And he was preaching in their synagogues in the whole of Galilee, and casting out demons.
40 ひとりのらい病人が、イエスのところに願いにきて、ひざまずいて言った、「みこころでしたら、きよめていただけるのですが」。
And there comes to him a leper, beseeching him, and falling on his knees to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt thou canst cleanse me.
41 イエスは深くあわれみ、手を伸ばして彼にさわり、「そうしてあげよう、きよくなれ」と言われた。
But Jesus, moved with compassion, having stretched out his hand, touched him, and says to him, I will, be thou cleansed.
42 すると、らい病が直ちに去って、その人はきよくなった。
And as he spoke straightway the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43 イエスは彼をきびしく戒めて、すぐにそこを去らせ、こう言い聞かせられた、
And having sharply charged him, he straightway sent him away,
44 「何も人に話さないように、注意しなさい。ただ行って、自分のからだを祭司に見せ、それから、モーセが命じた物をあなたのきよめのためにささげて、人々に証明しなさい」。
and says to him, See thou say nothing to any one, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
45 しかし、彼は出て行って、自分の身に起ったことを盛んに語り、また言いひろめはじめたので、イエスはもはや表立っては町に、はいることができなくなり、外の寂しい所にとどまっておられた。しかし、人々は方々から、イエスのところにぞくぞくと集まってきた。
But he, having gone forth, began to proclaim [it] much, and to spread the matter abroad, so that he could no longer enter openly into the city, but was without in desert places, and they came to him from every side.
