ルカの福音書 11
1 また、イエスはある所で祈っておられたが、それが終ったとき、弟子のひとりが言った、「主よ、ヨハネがその弟子たちに教えたように、わたしたちにも祈ることを教えてください」。
And it came to pass, that He was in a certain place praying; when He ceased, one of His disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 そこで彼らに言われた、「祈るときには、こう言いなさい、『父よ、御名があがめられますように。御国がきますように。
And He said to them, When you pray, say, Our Father, let thy name be hallowed: let thy kingdom come:
3 わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、日々お与えください。
give unto us this day our daily bread:
4 わたしたちに負債のある者を皆ゆるしますから、わたしたちの罪をもおゆるしください。わたしたちを試みに会わせないでください』」。
and forgive us our sins; for we also do forgive every one owing us: and lead us not into temptation.
5 そして彼らに言われた、「あなたがたのうちのだれかに、友人があるとして、その人のところへ真夜中に行き、『友よ、パンを三つ貸してください。
And He said to them, Which one of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 友だちが旅先からわたしのところに着いたのですが、何も出すものがありませんから』と言った場合、
since my friend came to me from the road, and I have nothing which I may place before him.
7 彼は内から、『面倒をかけないでくれ。もう戸は締めてしまったし、子供たちもわたしと一緒に床にはいっているので、いま起きて何もあげるわけにはいかない』と言うであろう。
And he responding from within, said, Do not give me trouble: the door has already been closed, and my children are in bed with me; I am not able rising to give unto thee.
8 しかし、よく聞きなさい、友人だからというのでは起きて与えないが、しきりに願うので、起き上がって必要なものを出してくれるであろう。
I say unto you, If indeed having risen he will not give unto him, because he is his friend, yet on account of his shamelessness, rising he will give him as much as he needs.
9 そこでわたしはあなたがたに言う。求めよ、そうすれば、与えられるであろう。捜せ、そうすれば見いだすであろう。門をたたけ、そうすれば、あけてもらえるであろう。
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 すべて求める者は得、捜す者は見いだし、門をたたく者はあけてもらえるからである。
For every one asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking it shall be opened.
11 あなたがたのうちで、父であるものは、その子が魚を求めるのに、魚の代りにへびを与えるだろうか。
And which father of you shall if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? or indeed a fish, will he instead of a fish give him a serpent?
12 卵を求めるのに、さそりを与えるだろうか。
Or indeed shall he ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion?
13 このように、あなたがたは悪い者であっても、自分の子供には、良い贈り物をすることを知っているとすれば、天の父はなおさら、求めて来る者に聖霊を下さらないことがあろうか」。
If then you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, then how much more will your Father who is from heaven give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
14 さて、イエスが悪霊を追い出しておられた。それは、おしの霊であった。悪霊が出て行くと、おしが物を言うようになったので、群衆は不思議に思った。
And He was casting out a demon, and he was dumb: and it came to pass, the demon having gone out, the dumb spoke; and the multitudes were astonished.
15 その中のある人々が、「彼は悪霊のかしらベルゼブルによって、悪霊どもを追い出しているのだ」と言い、
And certain ones of them said, He casts out the demon through Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.
16 またほかの人々は、イエスを試みようとして、天からのしるしを求めた。
And others tempting, continued to seek with Him a sign from heaven.
17 しかしイエスは、彼らの思いを見抜いて言われた、「おおよそ国が内部で分裂すれば自滅してしまい、また家が分れ争えば倒れてしまう。
And He, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself, comes to desolation, and house falls upon house.
18 そこでサタンも内部で分裂すれば、その国はどうして立ち行けよう。あなたがたはわたしがベルゼブルによって悪霊を追い出していると言うが、
And if Satan were indeed divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I am casting out demons through Beelzebul.
19 もしわたしがベルゼブルによって悪霊を追い出すとすれば、あなたがたの仲間はだれによって追い出すのであろうか。だから、彼らがあなたがたをさばく者となるであろう。
But if I through Beelzebul cast out the demons, through whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges:
20 しかし、わたしが神の指によって悪霊を追い出しているのなら、神の国はすでにあなたがたのところにきたのである。
but if I through the finger of God cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come nigh unto you.
21 強い人が十分に武装して自分の邸宅を守っている限り、その持ち物は安全である。
When the strong man armed may keep his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 しかし、もっと強い者が襲ってきて彼に打ち勝てば、その頼みにしていた武具を奪って、その分捕品を分けるのである。
but when one stronger than he, having come, may conquer him, he takes away his panoply in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.
23 わたしの味方でない者は、わたしに反対するものであり、わたしと共に集めない者は、散らすものである。
The one not being with me is against me; and the one not gathering with me scatters abroad.
24 汚れた霊が人から出ると、休み場を求めて水の無い所を歩きまわるが、見つからないので、出てきた元の家に帰ろうと言って、
When the unclean spirit may go out from the man, he goes through dry places; seeking rest, and finding none, he says, I will return into my own house, whence I came out.
25 帰って見ると、その家はそうじがしてある上、飾りつけがしてあった。
And having come he finds it swept and beautified.
26 そこでまた出て行って、自分以上に悪い他の七つの霊を引き連れてきて中にはいり、そこに住み込む。そうすると、その人の後の状態は初めよりももっと悪くなるのである」。
Then he goes, and takes seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and having come in he dwells there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
27 イエスがこう話しておられるとき、群衆の中からひとりの女が声を張りあげて言った、「あなたを宿した胎、あなたが吸われた乳房は、なんとめぐまれていることでしょう」。
And it came to pass, while He is speaking these words, a certain woman lifting up her voice from the crowd, said to Him, Blessed is the womb having borne thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck.
28 しかしイエスは言われた、「いや、めぐまれているのは、むしろ、神の言を聞いてそれを守る人たちである」。
And He said, Truly blessed are those hearing the word of God, and keeping it.
29 さて群衆が群がり集まったので、イエスは語り出された、「この時代は邪悪な時代である。それはしるしを求めるが、ヨナのしるしのほかには、なんのしるしも与えられないであろう。
And the multitudes being assembled, He began to say, This is a wicked generation: it seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
30 というのは、ニネベの人々に対してヨナがしるしとなったように、人の子もこの時代に対してしるしとなるであろう。
For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so shall the Son of man also be a sign to this generation.
31 南の女王が、今の時代の人々と共にさばきの場に立って、彼らを罪に定めるであろう。なぜなら、彼女はソロモンの知恵を聞くために、地の果からはるばるきたからである。しかし見よ、ソロモンにまさる者がここにいる。
The queen of the south will rise in judgment with this generation, and condemn them; because she came from the uttermost parts of the earth, to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
32 ニネベの人々が、今の時代の人々と共にさばきの場に立って、彼らを罪に定めるであろう。なぜなら、ニネベの人々はヨナの宣教によって悔い改めたからである。しかし見よ、ヨナにまさる者がここにいる。
The men of Nineveh will rise in judgment with this generation, and condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold a greater than Jonah is here.
33 だれもあかりをともして、それを穴倉の中や枡の下に置くことはしない。むしろはいって来る人たちに、そのあかりが見えるように、燭台の上におく。
No one, having lighted a lamp, putteth it in a cellar, nor under a bushel, but on a candlestick, in order that those coming in may see the light.
34 あなたの目は、からだのあかりである。あなたの目が澄んでおれば、全身も明るいが、目がわるければ、からだも暗い。
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye may be clear, truly thy whole body is lighted; but when it may be had, truly thy body is dark.
35 だから、あなたの内なる光が暗くならないように注意しなさい。
See then that the light which is in thee is not darkness.
36 もし、あなたのからだ全体が明るくて、暗い部分が少しもなければ、ちょうど、あかりが輝いてあなたを照す時のように、全身が明るくなるであろう」。
If then thy whole body is lighted, having no part dark, all will be lighted, as when a lamp may light thee with its brightness.
37 イエスが語っておられた時、あるパリサイ人が、自分の家で食事をしていただきたいと申し出たので、はいって食卓につかれた。
And while He was speaking, a Pharisee asked Him, that He would dine with him: and having come in, He sat up at the table.
38 ところが、食前にまず洗うことをなさらなかったのを見て、そのパリサイ人が不思議に思った。
And the Pharisee seeing, was astonished because He was not first baptized before dinner.
39 そこで主は彼に言われた、「いったい、あなたがたパリサイ人は、杯や盆の外側をきよめるが、あなたがたの内側は貪欲と邪悪とで満ちている。
And the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees purify the outside of the cup and the plate, but the interior is full of extortion and wickedness.
40 愚かな者たちよ、外側を造ったかたは、また内側も造られたではないか。
Ye fools, did not the One having made the outside also make the inside?
41 ただ、内側にあるものをきよめなさい。そうすれば、いっさいがあなたがたにとって、清いものとなる。
Therefore give alms of your substance; and behold all things are pure unto you.
42 しかし、あなた方パリサイ人は、わざわいである。はっか、うん香、あらゆる野菜などの十分の一を宮に納めておりながら、義と神に対する愛とをなおざりにしている。それもなおざりにはできないが、これは行わねばならない。
But woe unto you, Pharisees! because you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and you pass by judgment and the love of God: it behooveth to do these things, and not to omit those.
43 あなたがたパリサイ人は、わざわいである。会堂の上席や広場での敬礼を好んでいる。
Woe unto you, Pharisees! because you love the front seat in the synagogues, and salutations in the forums.
44 あなたがたは、わざわいである。人目につかない墓のようなものである。その上を歩いても人々は気づかないでいる」。
Woe unto you! because you are like tombs unseen, and men walking over them do not know it.
45 ひとりの律法学者がイエスに答えて言った、「先生、そんなことを言われるのは、わたしたちまでも侮辱することです」。
And a certain one of the theologians responding says to Him, Teacher, speaking these things yon indeed insult us.
46 そこで言われた、「あなたがた律法学者も、わざわいである。負い切れない重荷を人に負わせながら、自分ではその荷に指一本でも触れようとしない。
And He said, Woe unto you, theologians! because you lay burdens on the people difficult to be borne, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 あなたがたは、わざわいである。預言者たちの碑を建てるが、しかし彼らを殺したのは、あなたがたの先祖であったのだ。
Woe unto you! because you build the sepulchers of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 だから、あなたがたは、自分の先祖のしわざに同意する証人なのだ。先祖が彼らを殺し、あなたがたがその碑を建てるのだから。
Therefore you are witnesses and you consent unto the works of your fathers: because they slew them, and you build.
49 それゆえに、『神の知恵』も言っている、『わたしは預言者と使徒とを彼らにつかわすが、彼らはそのうちのある者を殺したり、迫害したりするであろう』。
Therefore the wisdom of God said, I will send unto them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will slay and persecute.
50 それで、アベルの血から祭壇と神殿との間で殺されたザカリヤの血に至るまで、世の初めから流されてきたすべての預言者の血について、この時代がその責任を問われる。
In order that the blood of all the prophets poured out from the foundation of the world, may be required from this generation;
51 そうだ、あなたがたに言っておく、この時代がその責任を問われるであろう。
from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the house; yea, I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.
52 あなたがた律法学者は、わざわいである。知識のかぎを取りあげて、自分がはいらないばかりか、はいろうとする人たちを妨げてきた」。
Woe unto you, theologians! because you have taken away the key of knowledge: you did not come in, and you prohibited those who were coming in.
53 イエスがそこを出て行かれると、律法学者やパリサイ人は、激しく詰め寄り、いろいろな事を問いかけて、
And He having come out from thence, the scribes and Pharisees began vehemently to press on Him, and mouth after Him concerning many things;
54 イエスの口から何か言いがかりを得ようと、ねらいはじめた。
laying in wait, to catch something from His mouth.
