レビ記 20
1 主はまたモーセに言われた、
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『イスラエルの人々のうち、またイスラエルのうちに寄留する他国人のうち、だれでもその子供をモレクにささげる者は、必ず殺されなければならない。すなわち、国の民は彼を石で撃たなければならない。
Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever [he be] of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth [any] of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3 わたしは顔をその人に向け、彼を民のうちから断つであろう。彼がその子供をモレクにささげてわたしの聖所を汚し、またわたしの聖なる名を汚したからである。
And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
4 その人が子供をモレクにささげるとき、国の民がもしことさらに、この事に目をおおい、これを殺さないならば、
And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:
5 わたし自身、顔をその人とその家族とに向け、彼および彼に見ならってモレクを慕い、これと姦淫する者を、すべて民のうちから断つであろう。
Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
6 もし口寄せ、または占い師のもとにおもむき、彼らを慕って姦淫する者があれば、わたしは顔をその人に向け、これを民のうちから断つであろう。
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
7 ゆえにあなたがたは、みずからを聖別し、聖なる者とならなければならない。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I [am] the LORD your God.
8 あなたがたはわたしの定めを守って、これを行わなければならない。わたしはあなたがたを聖別する主である。
And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I [am] the LORD which sanctify you.
9 だれでも父または母をのろう者は、必ず殺されなければならない。彼が父または母をのろったので、その血は彼に帰するであろう。
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood [shall be] upon him.
10 人の妻と姦淫する者、すなわち隣人の妻と姦淫する者があれば、その姦夫、姦婦は共に必ず殺されなければならない。
And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man’s wife, [even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
11 その父の妻と寝る者は、その父をはずかしめる者である。彼らはふたりとも必ず殺されなければならない。その血は彼らに帰するであろう。
And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
12 子の妻と寝る者は、ふたり共に必ず殺されなければならない。彼らは道ならぬことをしたので、その血は彼らに帰するであろう。
And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood [shall be] upon them.
13 女と寝るように男と寝る者は、ふたりとも憎むべき事をしたので、必ず殺されなければならない。その血は彼らに帰するであろう。
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
14 女をその母と一緒にめとるならば、これは悪事であって、彼も、女たちも火に焼かれなければならない。このような悪事をあなたがたのうちになくするためである。
And if a man take a wife and her mother, it [is] wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
15 男がもし、獣と寝るならば彼は必ず殺されなければならない。あなたがたはまた、その獣を殺さなければならない。
And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
16 女がもし、獣に近づいて、これと寝るならば、あなたは、その女と獣とを殺さなければならない。彼らは必ず殺さるべきである。その血は彼らに帰するであろう。
And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.
17 人がもし、その姉妹、すなわち父の娘、あるいは母の娘に近づいて、その姉妹のはだを見、女はその兄弟のはだを見るならば、これは恥ずべき事である。彼らは、その民の人々の目の前で、断たれなければならない。彼は、その姉妹を犯したのであるから、その罪を負わなければならない。
And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it [is] a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
18 人がもし、月のさわりのある女と寝て、そのはだを現すならば、男は女の源を現し、女は自分の血の源を現したのであるから、ふたり共にその民のうちから断たれなければならない。
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
19 あなたの母の姉妹、またはあなたの父の姉妹を犯してはならない。これは、自分の肉親の者を犯すことであるから、彼らはその罪を負わなければならない。
And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.
20 人がもし、そのおばと寝るならば、これはおじをはずかしめることであるから、彼らはその罪を負い、子なくして死ぬであろう。
And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
21 人がもし、その兄弟の妻を取るならば、これは汚らわしいことである。彼はその兄弟をはずかしめたのであるから、彼らは子なき者となるであろう。
And if a man shall take his brother’s wife, it [is] an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.
22 あなたがたはわたしの定めとおきてとをことごとく守って、これを行わなければならない。そうすれば、わたしがあなたがたを住まわせようと導いて行く地は、あなたがたを吐き出さぬであろう。
Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.
23 あなたがたの前からわたしが追い払う国びとの風習に、あなたがたは歩んではならない。彼らは、このもろもろのことをしたから、わたしは彼らを憎むのである。
And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
24 わたしはあなたがたに言った、「あなたがたは、彼らの地を獲るであろう。わたしはこれをあなたがたに与えて、これを獲させるであろう。これは乳と蜜との流れる地である」。わたしはあなたがたを他の民から区別したあなたがたの神、主である。
But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I [am] the LORD your God, which have separated you from [other] people.
25 あなたがたは清い獣と汚れた獣、汚れた鳥と清い鳥を区別しなければならない。わたしがあなたがたのために汚れたものとして区別した獣、または鳥またはすべて地を這うものによって、あなたがたの身を忌むべきものとしてはならない。
Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
26 あなたがたはわたしに対して聖なる者でなければならない。主なるわたしは聖なる者で、あなたがたをわたしのものにしようと、他の民から区別したからである。
And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD [am] holy, and have severed you from [other] people, that ye should be mine.
27 男または女で、口寄せ、または占いをする者は、必ず殺されなければならない。すなわち、石で撃ち殺さなければならない。その血は彼らに帰するであろう』」。
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them.
