ヨシュア記 15
1 ユダの人々の部族が、その家族にしたがって、くじで獲た地は、南の方では、エドムの境に達し、南のはてにあるチンの荒野に及んでいた。
The lot for the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families was to the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, toward the Negev in the far south.
2 その南の境は、塩の海の南の端の、入海から起り、
Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;
3 アクラビムの坂の南に出てチンに進み、カデシ・バルネアの南から上って、ヘヅロンに進み、アダルに上っていって、カルカに回り、
and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;
4 アヅモンに進んで、エジプトの川に達し、その境は海に至って尽きる。これが彼らの南の境である。
and it passed along to Azmon, went out at the Wadi of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. This was their southern border.
5 東の境は塩の海であって、ヨルダンの川口に達する。北の方の境は、ヨルダンの川口の、入海から起り、
The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Jordan. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
6 上ってベテホグラに行き、ベテアラバの北を過ぎ、上ってルベンびとボハンの石に達し、
The border went up to Beth Hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth Arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
7 またアコルの谷からデビルに上って、北におもむき、川の南にあるアドミムの坂に対するギルガルに向かって進み、エンシメシの水に達し、エンロゲルに至って尽きる。
The border went up to Debir from the Valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river. The border passed along to the waters of En Shemesh, and ended at En Rogel.
8 またその境はベンヒンノムの谷に沿って、エブスびとの地、すなわちエルサレムの南のわきに上り、ヒンノムの谷の西にある山の頂に上る。これはレパイムの谷の北の果にあるものである。
The border went up by the Valley of Ben Hinnom to the slope of the Jebusites southward (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the farthest part of the Valley of Rephaim northward.
9 その境は、この山の頂からネフトアの水の源に至り、その所からエフロン山の町々に及び、その境は曲ってバアラに達する。これは、すなわちキリアテ・ヤリムである。
The border extended from the top of the mountain to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (that is, Kiriath Jearim);
10 その境は、バアラから西に回って、セイル山に及び、ヤリム山、すなわちケサロンの北のわきを経て、ベテシメシに下り、テムナに進み、
and the border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Kesalon), and went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;
11 エクロンの北の丘のわきに出て、シッケロンに曲り、バアラ山に進み、ヤブネルに達し、海に至って尽きる。
and the border went out to the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to Mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12 また西の境は大海であって、海岸を境とした。これがユダの人々の、その家族にしたがって獲た地の四方の境である。
The west border was to the shore of the Great Sea. This is the border of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
13 ヨシュアは、主に命じられたように、エフンネの子カレブに、ユダの人々のうちで、キリアテ・アルバ、すなわちヘブロンを与えて、その分とさせた。アルバはアナクの父であった。
To Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the descendants of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).
14 カレブはその所から、アナクの子三人を追い払った。すなわち、セシャイ、アヒマン、およびタルマイであって、アナクから出たものである。
Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
15 そして彼はこの所からデビルに住む民の所に攻め上った。デビルの名は、もとはキリアテ・セペルといった。
He went up against the inhabitants of Debir. Now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath Sepher.
16 カレブは言った、「キリアテ・セペルを撃って、これを取る者には、わたしの娘アクサを妻として与えるであろう」。
Caleb said, "He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife."
17 ケナズの子で、カレブの弟オテニエルがそれを取ったので、カレブは娘アクサを、妻として彼に与えた。
Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
18 彼女がとつぐ時、畑を父に求めるようにと、オテニエルに勧められた。そして彼女が、ろばから降りたので、カレブは彼女に、何を望むのかとたずねた。
It happened, when she came, that she had him ask her father for a field. She got off of her donkey, and Caleb said, "What do you want?"
19 彼女は答えて言った、「わたしに贈り物をください。あなたはネゲブの地に、わたしをやられるのですから、泉をもください」。カレブは彼女に上の泉と下の泉とを与えた。
She said, "Give me a blessing. Because you have set me in the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water." He gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 ユダの人々の部族が、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業は、次のとおりである。
This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Judah according to their families.
21 ユダの人々の部族が、南でエドムの境の方にもっていた遠くの町々は、カブジエル、エデル、ヤグル、
The farthest cities of the tribe of the descendants of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel, and Arad, and Jagur,
22 キナ、デモナ、アダダ、
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 ケデシ、ハゾル、イテナン、
and Kedesh, and Hazor Ithnan,
24 ジフ、テレム、ベアロテ、
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 ハゾル・ハダッタ、ケリオテ・ヘヅロンすなわちハゾル、
and Hazor Hadattah, and Kerioth Hezron (that is, Hazor),
26 アマム、シマ、モラダ、
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 ハザルガダ、ヘシモン、ベテペレテ、
and Hazar Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth Pelet,
28 ハザル・シュアル、ベエルシバ、ビジョテヤ、
and Hazar Shual, and Beersheba and its villages,
29 バアラ、イイム、エゼム、
Baalah, and Iyim, and Ezem,
30 エルトラデ、ケシル、ホルマ、
and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,
31 チクラグ、マデマンナ、サンサンナ、
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 レバオテ、シルヒム、アイン、リンモン。これらの町は合わせて二十九、ならびにそれに属する村々。
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and En Rimmon. All the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.
33 平地では、エシタオル、ゾラ、アシナ、
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah,
34 ザノア、エンガンニム、タップア、エナム、
and Zanoah, and En Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 ヤルムテ、アドラム、ソコ、アゼカ、
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 シャアライム、アデタイム、ゲデラ、ゲデロタイム。すなわち十四の町々と、それに属する村々。
and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and its sheepfolds; fourteen cities with their villages.
37 ゼナン、ハダシャ、ミグダルガデ、
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal Gad,
38 デラン、ミヅパ、ヨクテル、
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 ラキシ、ボヅカテ、エグロン、
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 カボン、ラマム、キテリシ、
and Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Kitlish,
41 ゲデロテ、ベテダゴン、ナアマ、マッケダ。すなわち十六の町々と、それに属する村々。
and Gederoth, Beth Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.
42 またリブナ、エテル、アシャン、
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 イフタ、アシナ、ネジブ、
and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 ケイラ、アクジブ、マレシャ。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.
45 エクロンと、その町々、および村々。
Ekron, with its towns and its villages;
46 エクロンから海まで、すべてアシドドのほとりにある町々、およびそれに属する村々。
from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
47 アシドドとその町々および村々。ガザとその町々および村々。エジプトの川と大海の海岸までが、その境であった。
Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; to the Wadi of Egypt, and the Great Sea with its coastline.
48 山地では、シャミル、ヤッテル、ソコ、
In the hill country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 ダンナ、キリアテ・サンナすなわちデビル、
and Rannah, and Kiriath Sepher (which is Debir),
50 アナブ、エシテモ、アニム、
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 ゴセン、ホロン、ギロ。すなわち十一の町々と、それに属する村々。
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.
52 アラブ、ドマ、エシャン、
Arab, and Rumah, and Eshan,
53 ヤニム、ベテタップア、アペカ、
and Janum, and Beth Tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 ホムタ、キリアテ・アルバすなわちヘブロン、ヂオル。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。
and Humtah, and Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior; nine cities with their villages.
55 マオン、カルメル、ジフ、ユッタ、
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 エズレル、ヨクデアム、ザノア、
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 カイン、ギベア、テムナ。すなわち十の町々と、それに属する村々。
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.
58 ハルホル、ベテズル、ゲドル、
Halhul, Beth Zur, and Gedor,
59 マアラテ、ベテアノテ、エルテコン。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。
and Maarath, and Beth Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages. Tekoa, and Ephrathah (that is, Bethlehem), and Peor, and Etam, and Kolan, and Tatem, and Shoresh, and Kerem, and Gallim, and Bether, and Manocho; eleven cities with their villages.
60 キリアテ・バアルすなわちキリアテ・ヤリム、ラバ。これらの二つの町とそれに属する村々。
Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
61 荒野では、ベテアラバ、ミデン、セカカ、
In the wilderness, Beth Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 ニブシャン、塩の町、エンゲデ。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。
and Nibshan, and Ir Hamelach, and En Gedi; six cities with their villages.
63 しかし、ユダの人々は、エルサレムの住民エブスびとを追い払うことができなかった。それでエブスびとは今日まで、ユダの人々と共にエルサレムに住んでいる。
As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the descendants of Judah couldn't drive them out; but the Jebusites live with the descendants of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
