イザヤ書 66
1 主はこう言われる、「天はわが位、地はわが足台である。あなたがたはわたしのためにどんな家を建てようとするのか。またどんな所がわが休み所となるのか」。
The LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?
2 主は言われる、「わが手はすべてこれらの物を造った。これらの物はことごとくわたしのものである。しかし、わたしが顧みる人はこれである。すなわち、へりくだって心悔い、わが言葉に恐れおののく者である。
For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says the LORD: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3 牛をほふる者は、また人を殺す者、小羊を犠牲とする者は、また犬をくびり殺す者、供え物をささげる者は、また豚の血をささげる者、乳香を記念としてささげる者は、また偶像をほめる者である。これはおのが道を選び、その心は憎むべきものを楽しむ。
He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
4 わたしもまた彼らのために悩みを選び、彼らの恐れるところのものを彼らに臨ませる。これは、わたしが呼んだときに答える者なく、わたしが語ったときに聞くことをせず、わたしの目に悪い事を行い、わたしの好まなかった事を選んだからである」。
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they did not listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I did not delight.”
5 あなたがた、主の言葉に恐れおののく者よ、主の言葉を聞け、「あなたがたの兄弟たちはあなたがたを憎み、あなたがたをわが名のために追い出して言った、『願わくは主がその栄光をあらわしてわれわれにあなたがたの喜びを見させよ』と。しかし彼らは恥を受ける。
Hear the LORD’s word, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.
6 聞けよ、町から起る騒ぎを。宮から聞える声を。主がその敵に報復される声を。
A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that repays his enemies what they deserve.
7 シオンは産みの苦しみをなす前に産み、その苦しみの来ない前に男子を産んだ。
“Before she travailed, she gave birth. Before her pain came, she delivered a son.
8 だれがこのような事を聞いたか、だれがこのような事どもを見たか。一つの国は一日の苦しみで生れるだろうか。一つの国民はひと時に生れるだろうか。しかし、シオンは産みの苦しみをするやいなやその子らを産んだ。
Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she gave birth to her children.
9 わたしが出産に臨ませて産ませないことがあろうか」と主は言われる。「わたしは産ませる者なのに胎をとざすであろうか」とあなたの神は言われる。
Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to be delivered?” says the LORD. “Shall I who cause to give birth shut the womb?” says your God.
10 「すべてエルサレムを愛する者よ、彼女と共に喜べ、彼女のゆえに楽しめ。すべて彼女のために悲しむ者よ、彼女と共に喜び楽しめ。
“Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;
11 あなたがたは慰めを与えるエルサレムの乳ぶさから乳を吸って飽くことができ、またその豊かな栄えから飲んで楽しむことができるからだ」。
that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”
12 主はこう言われる、「見よ、わたしは川のように彼女に繁栄を与え、みなぎる流れのように、もろもろの国の富を与える。あなたがたは乳を飲み、腰に負われ、ひざの上であやされる。
For the LORD says, “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.
13 母のその子を慰めるように、わたしもあなたがたを慰める。あなたがたはエルサレムで慰めを得る。
As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14 あなたがたは見て、心喜び、あなたがたの骨は若草のように栄える。主の手はそのしもべらと共にあり、その憤りはその敵にむかっていることを知る。
You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. The LORD’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15 見よ、主は火の中にあらわれて来られる。その車はつむじ風のようだ。激しい怒りをもってその憤りをもらし、火の炎をもって責められる。
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 主は火をもって、またつるぎをもって、すべての人にさばきを行われる。主に殺される者は多い」。
For the LORD will execute judgment by fire and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by the LORD will be many.
17 「みずからを聖別し、みずからを清めて園に行き、その中にあるものに従い、豚の肉、憎むべき物およびねずみを食う者はみな共に絶えうせる」と主は言われる。
“Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, following one in the middle, eating pig’s meat, abominable things, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together,” says the LORD.
18 「わたしは彼らのわざと、彼らの思いとを知っている。わたしは来て、すべての国民と、もろもろのやからとを集める。彼らは来て、わが栄光を見る。
“For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.
19 わたしは彼らの中に一つのしるしを立てて、のがれた者をもろもろの国、すなわちタルシシ、よく弓をひくプトおよびルデ、トバル、ヤワン、またわが名声を聞かず、わが栄光を見ない遠くの海沿いの国々につかわす。彼らはわが栄光をもろもろの国民の中に伝える。
“I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to far-away islands, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
20 彼らはイスラエルの子らが清い器に供え物を盛って主の宮に携えて来るように、あなたがたの兄弟をことごとくもろもろの国の中から馬、車、かご、騾馬、らくだに乗せて、わが聖なる山エルサレムにこさせ、主の供え物とする」と主は言われる。
They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the LORD’s house.
21 「わたしはまた彼らの中から人を選んで祭司とし、レビびととする」と主は言われる。
Of them I will also select priests and Levites,” says the LORD.
22 「わたしが造ろうとする新しい天と、新しい地がわたしの前にながくとどまるように、あなたの子孫と、あなたの名はながくとどまる」と主は言われる。
“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says the LORD, “so your offspring and your name shall remain.
23 「新月ごとに、安息日ごとに、すべての人はわが前に来て礼拝する」と主は言われる。
It shall happen that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me,” says the LORD.
24 「彼らは出て、わたしにそむいた人々のしかばねを見る。そのうじは死なず、その火は消えることがない。彼らはすべての人に忌みきらわれる」。
“They will go out, and look at the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me; for their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”
