イザヤ書 27
1 その日、主は堅く大いなる強いつるぎで逃げるへびレビヤタン、曲りくねるへびレビヤタンを罰し、また海におる龍を殺される。
In that day, the LORD with his fierce and great and mighty sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the twisted serpent; and he will kill the serpent that is in the sea.
2 その日「麗しきぶどう畑よ、このことを歌え。
In that day, sing to her, "A pleasant vineyard.
3 主なるわたしはこれを守り、常に水をそそぎ、夜も昼も守って、そこなう者のないようにする。
I, the LORD, am its keeper. I will water it every moment. Lest anyone damage it, I will keep it night and day.
4 わたしは憤らない。いばら、おどろがわたしと戦うなら、わたしは進んでこれを攻め、皆もろともに焼きつくす。
Wrath is not in me, but if I should find briers and thorns, I would do battle. I would march on them and I would burn them together.
5 それを望まないなら、わたしの保護にたよって、わたしと和らぎをなせ、わたしと和らぎをなせ」。
Or else let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me. Let him make peace with me."
6 後になれば、ヤコブは根をはり、イスラエルは芽を出して花咲き、その実を全世界に満たす。
In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bud. They will fill the surface of the world with fruit.
7 主は彼らを撃った者を撃たれたように彼らを撃たれたか。あるいは彼らを殺した者が殺されたように彼らは殺されたか。
Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or have they been killed as their killers were killed?
8 あなたは彼らと争って、彼らを追放された。主は東風の日に、その激しい風をもって彼らを移しやられた。
In measure, when you send them away, you contend with them. He has removed them with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.
9 それゆえ、ヤコブの不義はこれによって、あがなわれる。これによって結ぶ実は彼の罪を除く。すなわち彼が祭壇のすべての石を砕けた白堊のようにし、アシラ像と香の祭壇とを再び建てないことである。
Therefore, by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherim and the incense altars shall rise no more.
10 堅固な町は荒れてさびしく、捨て去られたすまいは荒野のようだ。子牛はそこに草を食い、そこに伏して、その木の枝を裸にする。
For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.
11 その枝が枯れると、折り取られ、女が来てそれを燃やす。これは無知の民だからである。それゆえ、彼らを造られた主は彼らをあわれまれない。彼らを形造られた主は、彼らを恵まれない。
When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
12 イスラエルの人々よ、その日、主はユフラテ川からエジプトの川にいたるまで穀物の穂を打ち落される。そしてあなたがたは、ひとりびとり集められる。
It will happen in that day, that the LORD will thresh from the flowing stream of the Perath to the Wadi of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.
13 その日大いなるラッパが鳴りひびき、アッスリヤの地にある失われた者と、エジプトの地に追いやられた者とがきて、エルサレムの聖山で主を拝む。
It will happen in that day that a great trumpet will be blown; and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, shall come; and they will worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
