ホセア書 5
1 祭司たちよ、これを聞け、イスラエルの家よ、心をとめよ、王の家よ、耳を傾けよ、さばきはあなたがたに臨む。あなたがたはミヅパにわなを設け、タボルの上に網を張ったからだ。
Hear ye this, O ye priests, And hearken, O house of Israel, And give ear, O house of the king! For judgment is coming upon you, Because ye have been a snare at Mizpah, And an outspread net upon Tabor.
2 彼らはシッテムの穴を深くしたが、わたしは彼らをことごとく懲らしめる。
By their sacrifices they commit deep transgression, And I will bring chastisement upon them all.
3 わたしはエフライムを知っている。イスラエルはわたしに隠れることがない。エフライムよ、あなたは今淫行をなし、イスラエルは汚された。
I know Ephraim, And Israel is not hidden from me; For thou committest fornication, O Ephraim, And Israel is defiled.
4 彼らのおこないは彼らを神に帰らせない。それは淫行の霊が彼らのうちにあって、主を知ることができないからだ。
They will not frame their doings To return to their God; For a spirit of fornication is within them, And they have no regard to Jehovah.
5 イスラエルの誇はその顔に向かって証言している。エフライムはその不義によってつまずき、ユダもまた彼らと共につまずく。
The pride of Israel testifieth to his face; Therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 彼らは羊の群れ、牛の群れを携えて行って、主を求めても、主に会うことはない。主は彼らから離れ去られた。
With their flocks and with their herds shall they go to seek Jehovah, And shall not find him; He hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 彼らは主にむかって貞操を守らず、ほかの者の子を産んだ。新月は彼らをその田畑と共に滅ぼす。
They have been false to Jehovah, For they have begotten strange children; Now shall the new moon consume them with their possessions.
8 ギベアで角笛を吹き、ラマでラッパを鳴らし、ベテアベンで呼ばわり叫べ。ベニヤミンよ、おののけ。
Blow ye the trumpet in Gibeah, And the cornet in Ramah; Cry aloud at Bethaven! Look behind thee, O Benjamin!
9 エフライムは刑罰の日に荒れすたれる。わたしはイスラエルの部族のうちに、必ず起るべき事を知らせる。
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke; Among the tribes of Israel do I make known what is sure.
10 ユダの君たちは境を移す者のようになった。わたしはわが怒りを水のように彼らの上に注ぐ。
The princes of Judah are like them that remove the land mark; I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 エフライムは甘んじて、むなしいものに従って歩んだゆえ、さばきを受けて、しえたげられ、打ちひしがれる。
Ephraim is oppressed; he is crushed with punishment, Because he willingly walked after the decree.
12 それゆえ、わたしはエフライムには、しみのように、ユダの家には腐れのようになる。
I am as a moth to Ephraim, And as rottenness to the house of Judah.
13 エフライムはおのれの病を見、ユダはおのれの傷を見たとき、エフライムはアッスリヤに行き、大王に人をつかわした。しかし彼はあなたがたをいやすことができない。また、あなたがたの傷をなおすことができない。
When Ephraim saw his sickness, And Judah his wound, Then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, And Judah sent to the hostile king; But he will not be able to heal you, Nor will he cure you of your wound.
14 わたしはエフライムに対しては、ししのようになり、ユダの家に対しては若きししのようになる。わたしは、わたしこそ、かき裂いて去り、かすめて行くが、だれも救う者はない。
For I will be as a lion to Ephraim, And as a young lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear, and will depart; I will take away, and none shall rescue.
15 わたしは彼らがその罪を認めて、わが顔をたずね求めるまで、わたしの所に帰っていよう。彼らは悩みによって、わたしを尋ね求めて言う、
I will go back to my place, Till they have suffered for their sin, and seek my face! In their affliction they will seek me early.
