ハバクク書 3
1 シギヨノテの調べによる、預言者ハバククの祈。
A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2 主よ、わたしはあなたのことを聞きました。主よ、わたしはあなたのみわざを見て恐れます。この年のうちにこれを新たにし、この年のうちにこれを知らせてください。怒る時にもあわれみを思いおこしてください。
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, [and] was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 神はテマンからこられ、聖者はパランの山からこられた。その栄光は天をおおい、そのさんびは地に満ちた。 (セラ)
God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. (Selah) His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 その輝きは光のようであり、その光は彼の手からほとばしる。かしこにその力を隠す。
And [his] brightness was as the light; he had horns [coming] out of his hand; and there [was] the hiding of his power.
5 疫病はその前に行き、熱病はその後に従う。
Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 彼は立って、地をはかり、彼は見て、諸国民をおののかせられる。とこしえの山は散らされ、永遠の丘は沈む。彼の道は昔のとおりである。
He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways [are] everlasting.
7 わたしが見ると、クシャンの天幕に悩みがあり、ミデアンの国の幕は震う。
I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: [and] the curtains of the land of Midian trembled.
8 主よ、あなたが馬に乗り、勝利の戦車に乗られる時、あなたは川に向かって怒られるのか。川に向かって憤られるのか。あるいは海に向かって立腹されるのか。
Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? [was] thy anger against the rivers? [was] thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thy horses, [and] thy chariots of salvation?
9 あなたの弓は取り出された。矢は、弦につがえられた。[セラ あなたは川をもって地を裂かれた。
Thy bow was made quite naked, [according] to the oaths of the tribes, [even thy] word. (Selah) Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
10 山々はあなたを見て震い、荒れ狂う水は流れいで、淵は声を出して、その手を高くあげた。
The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on high.
11 飛び行くあなたの矢の光のために、電光のようにきらめく、あなたのやりのために、日も月もそのすみかに立ち止まった。
The sun [and] moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thy arrows they went, [and] at the shining of thy glittering spear.
12 あなたは憤って地を行きめぐり、怒って諸国民を踏みつけられた。
Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13 あなたはあなたの民を救うため、あなたの油そそいだ者を救うために出て行かれた。あなたは悪しき者の頭を砕き、彼を腰から首まで裸にされた。 (セラ)
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, [even] for salvation with thy anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by uncovering the foundation to the neck. (Selah)
14 あなたはあなたのやりで将軍の首を刺しとおされた。彼らはわたしを散らそうとして、つむじ風のように来、貧しい者をひそかに、のみ滅ぼすことを楽しみとした。
Thou didst strike through with his staffs the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing [was] as to devour the poor secretly.
15 あなたはあなたの馬を使って、海と大水のさかまくところを踏みつけられた。
Thou didst walk through the sea with thy horses, [through] the mire of great waters.
16 わたしは聞いて、わたしのからだはわななき、わたしのくちびるはその声を聞いて震える。腐れはわたしの骨に入り、わたしの歩みは、わたしの下によろめく。わたしはわれわれに攻め寄せる民の上に悩みの日の臨むのを静かに待とう。
When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up to the people, he will invade them with his troops.
17 いちじくの木は花咲かず、ぶどうの木は実らず、オリブの木の産はむなしくなり、田畑は食物を生ぜず、おりには羊が絶え、牛舎には牛がいなくなる。
Although the fig-tree shall not blossom, neither [shall] fruit [be] in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and [there shall be] no herd in the stalls:
18 しかし、わたしは主によって楽しみ、わが救の神によって喜ぶ。
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 主なる神はわたしの力であって、わたしの足を雌じかの足のようにし、わたしに高い所を歩ませられる。これを琴に合わせ、聖歌隊の指揮者によって歌わせる。
The Lord GOD [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' [feet], and he will make me to walk upon my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
