創世記 7
1 主はノアに言われた、「あなたと家族とはみな箱舟にはいりなさい。あなたがこの時代の人々の中で、わたしの前に正しい人であるとわたしは認めたからである。
And Jehovah said to Noah, Go into the ark, thou and all thy house; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 あなたはすべての清い獣の中から雄と雌とを七つずつ取り、清くない獣の中から雄と雌とを二つずつ取り、
Of all clean beasts thou shalt take to thee by sevens, a male and its female; but of the beasts that are not clean two, a male and its female.
3 また空の鳥の中から雄と雌とを七つずつ取って、その種類が全地のおもてに生き残るようにしなさい。
Also of the fowl of the heavens by sevens, male and female; to keep seed alive on the face of all the earth.
4 七日の後、わたしは四十日四十夜、地に雨を降らせて、わたしの造ったすべての生き物を、地のおもてからぬぐい去ります」。
For in yet seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living being which I have made will I destroy from the ground.
5 ノアはすべて主が命じられたようにした。
And Noah did according to all that Jehovah had commanded him.
6 さて洪水が地に起った時、ノアは六百歳であった。
And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was on the earth.
7 ノアは子らと、妻と、子らの妻たちと共に洪水を避けて箱舟にはいった。
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 また清い獣と、清くない獣と、鳥と、地に這うすべてのものとの、
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowl, and of everything that creeps on the ground,
9 雄と雌とが、二つずつノアのもとにきて、神がノアに命じられたように箱舟にはいった。
there came two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 こうして七日の後、洪水が地に起った。
And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.
11 それはノアの六百歳の二月十七日であって、その日に大いなる淵の源は、ことごとく破れ、天の窓が開けて、
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 雨は四十日四十夜、地に降り注いだ。
And the pour of rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 その同じ日に、ノアと、ノアの子セム、ハム、ヤペテと、ノアの妻と、その子らの三人の妻とは共に箱舟にはいった。
On the same day went Noah, and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 またすべての種類の獣も、すべての種類の家畜も、地のすべての種類の這うものも、すべての種類の鳥も、すべての翼あるものも、皆はいった。
they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and all fowl after its kind — every bird of every wing.
15 すなわち命の息のあるすべての肉なるものが、二つずつノアのもとにきて、箱舟にはいった。
And they went to Noah, into the ark, two and two of all flesh, in which was the breath of life.
16 そのはいったものは、すべて肉なるものの雄と雌とであって、神が彼に命じられたようにはいった。そこで主は彼のうしろの戸を閉ざされた。
And they that came, came male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him. And Jehovah shut him in.
17 洪水は四十日のあいだ地上にあった。水が増して箱舟を浮べたので、箱舟は地から高く上がった。
And the flood was forty days on the earth. And the waters increased, and bore up the ark; and it was lifted up above the earth.
18 また水がみなぎり、地に増したので、箱舟は水のおもてに漂った。
And the waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark went on the face of the waters.
19 水はまた、ますます地にみなぎり、天の下の高い山々は皆おおわれた。
And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth; and all the high mountains that are under all the heavens were covered.
20 水はその上、さらに十五キュビトみなぎって、山々は全くおおわれた。
Fifteen cubits upward the waters prevailed; and the mountains were covered.
21 地の上に動くすべて肉なるものは、鳥も家畜も獣も、地に群がるすべての這うものも、すべての人もみな滅びた。
And all flesh that moved on the earth expired, fowl as well as cattle, and beasts, and all crawling things which crawl on the earth, and all mankind:
22 すなわち鼻に命の息のあるすべてのもの、陸にいたすべてのものは死んだ。
everything which had in its nostrils the breath of life, of all that was on the dry [land], died.
23 地のおもてにいたすべての生き物は、人も家畜も、這うものも、空の鳥もみな地からぬぐい去られて、ただノアと、彼と共に箱舟にいたものだけが残った。
And every living being was destroyed that was on the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and fowl of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth. And Noah alone remained, and what was with him in the ark.
24 水は百五十日のあいだ地上にみなぎった。
And the waters prevailed on the earth a hundred and fifty days.
