エゼキエル書 35
1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
2 「人の子よ、あなたの顔をセイル山に向け、これに対して預言し、
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it.
3 これに言え。主なる神はこう言われる、セイル山よ、見よ、わたしはあなたを敵とし、わたしの手をあなたに向かって伸べ、あなたを全く荒し、
And say to it, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.
4 あなたの町々を滅ぼす。あなたは荒れはてる。そしてわたしが主であることを悟る。
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shall be desolate. And thou shall know that I am Jehovah.
5 あなたは限りない敵意をいだいて、イスラエルの人々をその災の時、終りの刑罰の時に、つるぎの手に渡した。
Because thou have had a perpetual enmity, and have given over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
6 それゆえ、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。わたしはあなたを血にわたす。血はあなたを追いかける。あなたには血のとががあるゆえ、血はあなたを追いかける
therefore, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will prepare thee to blood, and blood shall pursue thee. Since thou have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
7 わたしはセイル山を全く荒し、そこに行き来する者を断ち、
Thus I will make mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation, and I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.
8 その山々を殺された者で満たす。つるぎで殺された者が、あなたのもろもろの丘、もろもろの谷、もろもろのくぼ地に倒れる。
And I will fill its mountains with its slain. In thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy watercourses they shall fall who are slain with the sword.
9 わたしはあなたを、永遠の荒れ地とし、あなたの町々には住む者がなくなる。そしてあなたがたは、わたしが主であることを悟る。
I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited. And ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
10 あなたは言う、『これら二つの国民、二つの国はわたしのもの、われわれはこれを獲よう』と。しかし主はそこにおられる。
Because thou have said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it, whereas Jehovah was there,
11 それゆえ、主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。あなたが彼らを憎んで、彼らに示した怒りと、ねたみにしたがって、わたしはあなたを扱う。わたしがあなたをさばく時、わたし自身をあなたに示す。
therefore, as I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou have shown out of thy hatred against them. And I will make myself known among them when I shall judge thee.
12 あなたがイスラエルの山々に向かって、『これは荒れはてて、われわれの食となる』と言ったもろもろのそしりを、主なるわたしが聞いたことをあなたは悟る。
And thou shall know that I, Jehovah, have heard all thy revilings which thou have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate. They are given us to devour.
13 あなたがたは、わたしに対して口をもって誇り、またわたしに対して、あなたがたの言葉を多くした。わたしはそれを聞いた。
And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.
14 主なる神はこう言われる、全地の喜びのために、わたしはあなたを荒れ地とする。
Thus says the lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoices, I will make thee desolate.
15 あなたが、イスラエルの家の嗣業の荒れるのを喜んだように、わたしはあなたに、そのようにする。セイル山よ、あなたは荒れ地となる。エドムもすべてそのようになる。そのとき彼らは、わたしが主であることを悟るようになる。
As thou rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will do to thee. Thou shall be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
