エゼキエル書 23
1 主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ、
The word of YHWH came again to me, saying,
2 「人の子よ、ここにふたりの女があった。ひとりの母の娘である。
"Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
3 彼らはエジプトで淫行をした。彼らは若い時に淫行をした。すなわちその所で彼らの胸は押され、その処女の乳ぶさはいじられた。
and they played the prostitute in Egypt; they played the prostitute in their youth; there were their breasts pressed, and there was handled the bosom of their virginity.
4 彼らの名は姉はアホラ、妹はアホリバである。彼らはわたしのものとなって、むすこ娘たちを産んだ。その本名はアホラはサマリヤ、アホリバはエルサレムである。
Their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister: and they became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
5 アホラはわたしのものである間に淫行をなし、その恋人なるアッスリヤびとにこがれた。
"Oholah played the prostitute when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,
6 すなわち紫の衣をきた軍人、長官、司令官、すべて好ましい若者、馬に乗る者たちである。
who were clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses.
7 彼女は彼らに淫行を供えた。彼らはすべてアッスリヤのえり抜きの人々である。彼女はまた、そのこがれたすべての者のもろもろの偶像をもって、おのれを汚した。
She bestowed her prostitution on them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them; and on whoever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself.
8 彼女はエジプトの日からおこなっていた、その淫行を捨てなかった。それは彼女の若い時に、彼らが彼女と寝、その処女の乳ぶさをいじり、その情欲を彼女の上に注いだからである。
Neither has she left her prostitution since the days of Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they handled the bosom of her virginity; and they poured out their prostitution on her.
9 それゆえ、わたしは彼女をその恋人の手に渡し、そのこがれたアッスリヤの人々の手に渡した。
Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, on whom she doted.
10 彼らは彼女の裸を現し、そのむすこ娘たちを奪い、つるぎをもって彼女を殺した。こうして彼女に対するさばきが行われたとき、彼女は女たちの間の語り草となった。
These uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters; and her they killed with the sword: and she became a byword among women; for they executed judgments on her.
11 その妹アホリバはこれを見て、姉よりも情欲をほしいままにし、姉の淫行よりも多く淫行をなし、
"Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet was she more corrupt in her doting than she, and in her prostitution which were more than the prostitution of her sister.
12 アッスリヤの人々に恋こがれた。長官、司令官、盛装した軍人、馬に乗る者たちで、すべて好ましい若者たちである。
She doted on the Assyrians, governors and rulers, her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.
13 わたしは彼女が身を汚したのを見た。彼らは共に一つの道をたどったが、
I saw that she was defiled; they both took one way.
14 彼女はさらにその淫行を続け、壁に描いた人々を見た。すなわち朱で描いたカルデヤびとの像で、
She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
15 腰には帯を結び、頭にはたれさがったずきんをいただいていた。これらはみな官吏のような姿で、その生れた国カルデヤのバビロン人に似ていた。
wearing belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like officers, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.
16 彼女はこれらを見て、これに恋こがれ、使者をカルデヤの彼らのもとに送った。
As soon as she saw them she doted on them, and sent messengers to them into Chaldea.
17 そこでバビロンの人々は彼女のもとに来て、恋の床につき、情欲をもって彼女を汚したが、彼女は彼らに汚されるにおよんで、その心は彼らから離れた。
The Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their prostitution, and she was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18 彼女がその淫行を公然と続け、その裸をさらしたので、わたしの心は彼女から離れた。これはあたかもわたしの心が、彼女の姉から離れたと同様である。
So she uncovered her prostitution, and uncovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.
19 しかし彼女はなおエジプトの地で姦淫をしたその若き日を覚えて、その淫行を続け、
Yet she multiplied her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth, in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt.
20 その情夫たちに恋こがれた。その人の肉は、ろばの肉のごとく、その精は馬の精のようであった。
She doted on their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21 このようにあなたは、かのエジプトびとが、あなたの胸に手をつけ、あなたの若い乳ぶさをおさえた時の、若い時の淫行を慕っている」。
Thus you called to memory the lewdness of your youth, in the handling of your bosom by the Egyptians for the breasts of your youth.
22 それゆえ、アホリバよ、主なる神はこう言われる、「見よ、わたしは、あなたの心がすでに離れたあなたの恋人らを起して、あなたを攻めさせ、彼らに四方から来てあなたを攻めさせる。
"Therefore, Oholibah, thus says YHWH: 'Look, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:
23 すなわちバビロンの人々およびカルデヤのすべての人々、ペコデ、ショア、コア、アッスリヤのすべての人々、好ましい若者、長官、司令官、官吏、軍人など、すべて馬に乗る者たちである。
the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men, all of them governors and officials, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.
24 彼らは戦車、貨車、および多くの民を率いて、北からあなたに攻めて来る。大盾、小盾、かぶとを備えて、四方からあなたに攻めかかる。わたしが彼らにさばきをゆだねるゆえ、彼らは、そのおきてに従って、あなたをさばく。
And they shall come against you armed with chariots, and wagons, and with a huge army; they shall come against you on every side with large shields and small shields and helmet; and I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you by their own standards.
25 わたしはあなたに向かってわたしの憤りを起すゆえ、彼らは怒りをもってあなたを扱い、あなたの鼻と耳とを切り落し、そして残りの者はつるぎに倒れる。彼らはあなたのむすこ娘たちを奪い、生き残った者を火で焼く。
I will set my jealousy against you, and they shall deal with you in fury; they shall take away your nose and your ears; and your residue shall fall by the sword: they shall take your sons and your daughters; and your residue shall be devoured by the fire.
26 彼らはまたあなたの衣服をはぎ取り、あなたの美しい飾りを取り去る。
They shall also strip you of your clothes, and take away your beautiful jewels.
27 こうしてわたしはあなたの淫乱と、エジプトの地から持って来た淫行とを取り除き、重ねてあなたの目を、エジプトびとに向けて上げさせず、彼らの事を思わないようにする。
Thus will I make your lewdness to cease from you, and your prostitution brought from the land of Egypt; so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.
28 主なる神はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはあなたの憎む者の手、あなたの心の離れた者の手にあなたを渡す。
"'For thus says YHWH: Look, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated;
29 彼らは憎しみをもってあなたを扱い、あなたの所得をことごとく取り去り、あなたを赤はだかにし、あなたの淫行の裸を現す。あなたの淫乱と淫行とのゆえに、
and they shall deal with you in hatred, and shall take away all your labor, and shall leave you naked and bare; and the nakedness of your prostitution shall be uncovered, both your lewdness and your prostitution.
30 すなわち、あなたが異邦人を慕って姦淫を行い、彼らの偶像をもって身を汚したゆえに、これらのことがあなたに臨むのだ。
These things shall be done to you, because you have played the prostitute after the nations, and because you are polluted with their idols.
31 あなたはその姉の道を歩んだので、わたしも彼女の杯をあなたにわたす。
You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hand.'
32 主なる神はこう言われる、あなたは姉の深い、大きな杯を飲み、笑い物となり、あざけりとなる、この杯にはそれらが多くこもっている。
"Thus says YHWH: 'You will drink of your sister's cup, which is deep and large; you will be ridiculed and held in derision; it contains much.
33 あなたは酔いと憂いとに満たされる。驚きと滅びの杯、これがあなたの姉サマリヤの杯である。
You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.
34 あなたはこれを飲みこれをかたむけ、あなたの髪の毛をひきむしり、あなたの乳ぶさをかきさく。わたしがこれを言うと、主なる神は言われる。
You shall even drink it and drain it out, and you shall gnaw the broken pieces of it, and shall tear your breasts; for I have spoken it,' says YHWH.
35 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、あなたはわたしを忘れ、わたしをあなたのうしろに捨て去ったゆえ、あなたは自分の淫乱と淫行との罪を負わねばならぬ」。
"Therefore thus says YHWH: 'Because you have forgotten me, and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.'"
36 主はわたしに言われた、「人の子よ、あなたはアホラとアホリバをさばくのか。それならば彼らにその憎むべき事を告げよ。
YHWH said moreover to me: "Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations.
37 彼らは姦淫を行い、血が彼らの手の上にある。彼らはその偶像と姦淫を行い、またわたしに産んだ子らを、食物のために彼らにささげた。
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery; and they have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them to be devoured.
38 さらに彼らは、わたしに対してこのようにした。すなわち、彼らは同じ日にわたしの聖所を汚し、わたしの安息日を犯した。
Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
39 彼らはその子らを、偶像にささげるためにほふった同じ日に、わたしの聖所にきて、これを汚した。見よ、彼らがわたしの家の中でしたことはこれである。
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and look, thus have they done in the midst of my house.
40 さらに彼らは使者をやって、遠くから来るように人々を招いた。見よ、彼らはきた。あなたは、この人々のために身を洗い、目を描き、飾り物を身につけ、
"'Furthermore you have sent for men who come from far, to whom a messenger was sent, and look, they came; for whom you did wash yourself, paint your eyes, and decorate yourself with ornaments,
41 尊い床に座し、食卓をその前に設け、わたしの香と、わたしの油とを、その上に供えた。
and sit on a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon you set my incense and my oil.'
42 こうして、のんきな群衆の声は彼女と共にあり、また、荒野から連れて来た通りがかりの酔いどれも、彼らと共にいた。彼らは女たちの手に腕輪をはめさせ、頭に美しい冠をいただかせた。
The voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets on their hands twain, and beautiful crowns on their heads.
43 そこでわたしは言った、彼女と姦淫を行う時、人々は姦淫を犯さないであろうか。
Then I said of her who was old in adulteries, 'Now will they play the prostitute with her, and she with them.'
44 人が遊女の所にはいるように、彼らは彼女の所にはいった。こうして彼らは姦淫を行うために、アホラおよびアホリバの所にはいった。
They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute: so went they in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.
45 しかし正しい人々は淫婦のさばきと、血を流した女のさばきとをもって、彼らをさばく。それは彼らが淫婦であって、その手に血があるからである」。
Righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women who shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 主なる神はこう言われる、「わたしは軍隊を彼らに向かって攻め上らせ、彼らを恐れと略奪とに渡す。
"For thus says YHWH: 'I will bring up a company against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.
47 軍隊は彼らを石で打ち、つるぎで切り、そのむすこ娘たちを殺し、火でその家を焼く。
The company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48 こうしてわたしはこの地に淫乱を絶やす。すべての女はみずからいましめて、あなたがたがしたような淫乱を行わない。
'Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 あなたがたの淫乱の報いは、あなたがたの上にくだり、あなたがたはその偶像礼拝の罪を負い、そしてわたしが主なる神であることを知るようになる」。
They shall recompense your lewdness on you, and you shall bear the sins of your idols; and you shall know that I am YHWH.'"
