エゼキエル書 11
1 時に霊はわたしをあげて、東に向かう主の宮の東の門に連れて行った。見よ、その門の入口に二十五人の者がいた。わたしはその中にアズルの子ヤザニヤと、ベナヤの子ペラテヤを見た。共に民のつかさであった。
Then the spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of the house of Jehovah, that looketh toward the east; and behold, at the entrance of the gate were five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah, the son of Azur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
2 すると彼はわたしに言われた、「人の子よ、これらの者はこの町の中で悪い事を考え、悪い計りごとをめぐらす人々である。
Then said He to me: These are the men that devise mischief, and form evil designs in this city;
3 彼らは言う、『家を建てる時は近くはない。この町はなべであり、われわれは肉である』と。
who say, “The time is not near that we should build houses. This city is the caldron, and we are the flesh.”
4 それゆえ、彼らに向かって預言せよ。人の子よ、預言せよ」。
Therefore, prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!
5 時に、主の霊がわたしに下って、わたしに言われた、「主はこう言われると言え、イスラエルの家よ、考えてみよ。わたしはあなたがたの心にある事どもを知っている。
And the spirit of Jehovah fell upon me, and he said to me, Speak: Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel! For I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.
6 あなたがたはこの町に殺される者を増し、殺された者をもってちまたを満たした。
Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.
7 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、町の中にあなたがたが置く殺された者は肉である。この町はなべである。しかし、あなたがたはその中から取り出される。
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain, whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron; but you will I bring forth out of the midst of it.
8 あなたがたはつるぎを恐れた。わたしはあなたがたにつるぎを臨ませると、主は言われる。
Ye have feared the sword, and the sword will I bring upon you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
9 またわたしはあなたがたをその中から引き出して、他国人の手に渡し、あなたがたをさばく。
And I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and execute judgments upon you.
10 あなたがたはつるぎに倒れる。わたしはあなたがたをイスラエルの境でさばく。これによってあなたがたはわたしが主であることを知るようになる。
Ye shall fall by the sword; on the borders of Israel will I judge you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah.
11 この町はあなたがたに対してなべとはならず、あなたがたはその肉とはならない。わたしはイスラエルの境であなたがたをさばく。
This city shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof. On the borders of Israel will I judge you,
12 これによって、あなたがたはわたしが主であることを知るようになる。あなたがたはわたしの定めに歩まず、またわたしのおきてを行わず、かえってその周囲の他国人のおきてに従って行っているからである」。
that ye may know that I am Jehovah, in whose statutes ye have not walked, and whose ordinances ye have not observed, but have done according to the manners of the nations, that are round about you.
13 このようにわたしが預言していた時、ベナヤの子ペラテヤが死んだので、わたしは打ち伏して、大声で叫んで言った、「ああ主なる神よ、あなたはイスラエルの残りの者をことごとく滅ぼそうとされるのですか」。
And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, died. Then I fell down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah, wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
14 時に主の言葉がわたしに臨んで言った、
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
15 「人の子よ、あなたの兄弟、あなたの友、あなたの兄弟である捕われ人、イスラエルの全家、エルサレムの住民は言った、『彼らが主から遠く離れた。この地はわれわれの所有として与えられているのだ』と。
Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy near kindred, and the whole house of Israel, are they to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem say, “Remove ye far from Jehovah; to us is the land given in possession!”
16 それゆえ、言え、『主なる神はこう言われる、たといわたしは彼らを遠く他国人の中に移し、国々の中に散らしても、彼らの行った国々で、わたしはしばらく彼らのために聖所となる』と。
Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Though I have cast them far off among the nations, and scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them as a sanctuary for a short time in the countries whither they are come.
17 それゆえ、言え、『主はこう言われる、わたしはあなたがたをもろもろの民の中から集め、その散らされた国々から集めて、イスラエルの地をあなたがたに与える』と。
Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will gather you from the nations, and assemble you from the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18 彼らはその所に来る時、そのもろもろのいとうべきものと、もろもろの憎むべきものとをその所から取り除く。
And they shall come thither, and they shall take away from thence all the detestable things thereof, and all the abominations thereof.
19 そしてわたしは彼らに一つの心を与え、彼らのうちに新しい霊を授け、彼らの肉から石の心を取り去って、肉の心を与える。
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take out of them the heart of stone, and will give them a heart of flesh,
20 これは彼らがわたしの定めに歩み、わたしのおきてを守って行い、そして彼らがわたしの民となり、わたしが彼らの神となるためである。
that they may walk in my statutes, and observe my ordinances, and keep them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
21 しかしいとうべきもの、憎むべきものをその心に慕って歩む者には、彼らの行いに従ってそのこうべに報いると、主なる神は言われる」。
But as for them whose heart walketh according to the pleasure of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
22 時にケルビムはその翼をあげた。輪がそのかたわらにあり、イスラエルの神の栄光がその上にあった。
Then did the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
23 主の栄光が町の中からのぼって、町の東にある山の上に立ちどまった。
And the glory of Jehovah went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
24 その時、霊はわたしをあげ、神の霊によって、幻のうちにわたしをカルデヤの捕われ人の所へ携えて行った。そしてわたしが見た幻はわたしを離れてのぼった。
Then the spirit took me up, and brought me to Chaldaea, to them of the captivity, in vision, by the spirit of God. And the vision which I had seen went up from me.
25 そこでわたしは主がわたしに示された事をことごとくかの捕われ人に告げた。
Then I spake to them of the captivity all the words of Jehovah which he had showed me.
