エゼキエル書 10
1 時にわたしは見ていたが、見よ、ケルビムの頭の上の大空に、サファイヤのようなものが王座の形をして、その上に現れた。
And I saw, and behold, in the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubim, there appeared above them something like the sapphire stone, with the sight of the likeness of a throne.
2 彼は亜麻布を着たその人に言われた、「ケルビムの下の回る車の間にはいり、ケルビムの間から炭火をとってあなたの手に満たし、これを町中にまき散らせ」。そして彼はわたしの目の前ではいった。
And he spoke to the man who was clothed with linen, and he said: “Enter, between the wheels that are under the cherubim, and fill your hand with the coals of fire that are between the cherubim, and pour them upon the city.” And he entered, in my sight.
3 この人がはいった時、ケルビムは宮の南側に立っていた。また雲はその内庭を満たしていた。
Now the cherubim were standing before the right side of the house, when the man entered. And a cloud filled the inner court.
4 主の栄光はケルビムの上から宮の敷居の上にあがり、宮は雲で満ち、庭は主の栄光の輝きで満たされた。
And the glory of the Lord was lifted up, from above the cherubim, to the threshold of the house. And the house was filled with the cloud. And the court was filled with the splendor of the glory of the Lord.
5 時にケルビムの翼の音が大能の神が語られる声のように外庭にまで聞えた。
And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like the voice of Almighty God speaking.
6 彼が亜麻布を着ている人に、「回る車の間、ケルビムの間から火を取れ」。と命じた時、その人ははいって、輪のかたわらに立った。
And when he had instructed the man who was clothed with linen, saying, “Take fire from the midst of the wheels that are between the cherubim,” he entered and stood next to the wheel.
7 ひとりのケルブはその手をケルビムの間から伸べて、ケルビムの間にある火を取り、亜麻布を着た人の手に置いた。すると彼はこれを取って出て行った。
And one cherub extended his hand, from the midst of the cherubim, to the fire that was between the cherubim. And he took and gave it into the hands of the one who was clothed with linen, and he accepted it and went forth.
8 ケルビムはその翼の下に人の手のような形のものを持っているように見えた。
And there appeared amid the cherubim the likeness of the hand of a man, under their wings.
9 わたしが見ていると、見よ、ケルビムのかたわらに四つの輪があり、一つの輪はひとりのケルブのかたわらに、他の輪は他のケルブのかたわらにあった。輪のさまは、光る貴かんらん石のようであった。
And I saw, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim. One wheel was next to one cherub, and another wheel was next to another cherub. And the appearance of the wheels was like the sight of the chrysolite stone.
10 そのさまは四つとも同じ形で、あたかも輪の中に輪があるようであった。
And in their appearance, each one of the four were similar, as if a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.
11 その行く時は四方のどこへでも行く。その行く時は回らない。ただ先頭の輪の向くところに従い、その行く時は回ることをしない。
And when they went, they advanced in four parts. And they did not turn as they went. Instead, to the place to which they were inclined to go at first, the rest also followed, and they did not turn back.
12 その輪縁、その輻、および輪には、まわりに目が満ちていた。―その輪は四つともこれを持っていた。
And their entire body, with their necks and their hands and their wings and the circles, were full of eyes all around the four wheels.
13 その輪はわたしの聞いている所で、「回る輪」と呼ばれた。
And in my hearing, he called these wheels: “constantly changing.”
14 そのおのおのには四つの顔があった。第一の顔はケルブの顔、第二の顔は人の顔、第三はししの顔、第四はわしの顔であった。
Now each one had four faces. One face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and in the third was the face of a lion, and in the fourth was the face of an eagle.
15 その時ケルビムはのぼった。これがケバル川でわたしが見た生きものである。
And the cherubim were lifted up. This is the living creature, which I had seen beside the river Chebar.
16 ケルビムの行く時、輪もそのかたわらに行き、ケルビムが翼をあげて地から飛びあがる時は、輪もそのかたわらを離れない。
And when the cherubim advanced, the wheels also went beside them. And when the cherubim lifted up their wings in order to be raised up from the earth, the wheels did not remain behind, but they also were beside them.
17 その立ちどまる時は、輪も立ちどまり、そののぼる時は、輪も共にのぼる。生きものの霊がその中にあるからである。
When they were standing, these stood still. And when they were lifted up, these were lifted up. For the spirit of life was in them.
18 時に主の栄光が宮の敷居から出て行って、ケルビムの上に立った。
And the glory of the Lord went forth from the threshold of the temple, and stood above the cherubim.
19 するとケルビムは翼をあげて、わたしの目の前で、地からのぼった。その出て行く時、輪もまたこれと共にあり、主の宮の東の門の入口の所へ行って止まった。イスラエルの神の栄光がその上にあった。
And the cherubim, lifting up their wings, were raised up from the earth in my sight. And as they went away, the wheels also followed. And it stood at the entrance to the east gate of the house of the Lord. And the glory of the God of Israel was over them.
20 これがすなわちわたしがケバル川のほとりで、イスラエルの神の下に見たかの生きものである。わたしはそれがケルビムであることを知っていた。
This is the living creature, which I saw under the God of Israel beside the river Chebar. And I understood that they were cherubim.
21 これにはおのおの四つの顔があり、おのおの四つの翼があり、また人の手のようなものがその翼の下にあった。
Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. And the likeness of the hand of a man was under their wings.
22 その顔の形は、ケバル川のほとりでわたしが見たそのままの顔である。おのおのその前の方にまっすぐに行った。
And, concerning the appearance of their faces, these were the same faces that I had seen beside the river Chebar, and the gaze and force of each one of them was to go before his face.
