コロサイ人への手紙 3
1 このように、あなたがたはキリストと共によみがえらされたのだから、上にあるものを求めなさい。そこではキリストが神の右に座しておられるのである。
If then God has raised you with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.
2 あなたがたは上にあるものを思うべきであって、地上のものに心を引かれてはならない。
Think about the things above, not about the things on earth.
3 あなたがたはすでに死んだものであって、あなたがたのいのちは、キリストと共に神のうちに隠されているのである。
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 わたしたちのいのちなるキリストが現れる時には、あなたがたも、キリストと共に栄光のうちに現れるであろう。
When Christ appears, who is your life, then you will also appear with him in glory.
5 だから、地上の肢体、すなわち、不品行、汚れ、情欲、悪欲、また貪欲を殺してしまいなさい。貪欲は偶像礼拝にほかならない。
Put to death, then, the members that are on earth—sexual immorality, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 これらのことのために、神の怒りが下るのである。
It is for these things that the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 あなたがたも、以前これらのうちに日を過ごしていた時には、これらのことをして歩いていた。
It is in these things that you also once walked when you lived in them.
8 しかし今は、これらいっさいのことを捨て、怒り、憤り、悪意、そしり、口から出る恥ずべき言葉を、捨ててしまいなさい。
But now you must get rid of all these things—wrath, anger, evil intentions, insults, and obscene speech from your mouth.
9 互にうそを言ってはならない。あなたがたは、古き人をその行いと一緒に脱ぎ捨て、
Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old man with its practices,
10 造り主のかたちに従って新しくされ、真の知識に至る新しき人を着たのである。
and you have put on the new man that is being made new in knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.
11 そこには、もはやギリシヤ人とユダヤ人、割礼と無割礼、未開の人、スクテヤ人、奴隷、自由人の差別はない。キリストがすべてであり、すべてのもののうちにいますのである。
This is where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman, but Christ is all, and is in all.
12 だから、あなたがたは、神に選ばれた者、聖なる、愛されている者であるから、あわれみの心、慈愛、謙そん、柔和、寛容を身に着けなさい。
Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 互に忍びあい、もし互に責むべきことがあれば、ゆるし合いなさい。主もあなたがたをゆるして下さったのだから、そのように、あなたがたもゆるし合いなさい。
Bear with one another. Be gracious to each other. If someone has a complaint against someone else, forgive in the same way that the Lord has forgiven you.
14 これらいっさいのものの上に、愛を加えなさい。愛は、すべてを完全に結ぶ帯である。
Above all these things, have love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 キリストの平和が、あなたがたの心を支配するようにしなさい。あなたがたが召されて一体となったのは、このためでもある。いつも感謝していなさい。
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. It was for this peace that you were called in one body. And be thankful.
16 キリストの言葉を、あなたがたのうちに豊かに宿らせなさい。そして、知恵をつくして互に教えまた訓戒し、詩とさんびと霊の歌とによって、感謝して心から神をほめたたえなさい。
Let the word of Christ live in you richly. With all wisdom teach and admonish one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Sing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
17 そして、あなたのすることはすべて、言葉によるとわざによるとを問わず、いっさい主イエスの名によってなし、彼によって父なる神に感謝しなさい。
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through him.
18 妻たる者よ、夫に仕えなさい。それが、主にある者にふさわしいことである。
Wives, submit to your husbands, as it is appropriate in the Lord.
19 夫たる者よ、妻を愛しなさい。つらくあたってはいけない。
Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.
20 子たる者よ、何事についても両親に従いなさい。これが主に喜ばれることである。
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is pleasing in the Lord.
21 父たる者よ、子供をいらだたせてはいけない。心がいじけるかも知れないから。
Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not be discouraged.
22 僕たる者よ、何事についても、肉による主人に従いなさい。人にへつらおうとして、目先だけの勤めをするのではなく、真心をこめて主を恐れつつ、従いなさい。
Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things, not with eyeservice as people pleasers, but with a sincere heart. Fear the Lord.
23 何をするにも、人に対してではなく、主に対してするように、心から働きなさい。
Whatever you do, work from the soul as to the Lord and not as to people.
24 あなたがたが知っているとおり、あなたがたは御国をつぐことを、報いとして主から受けるであろう。あなたがたは、主キリストに仕えているのである。
You know that you will receive from the Lord the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
25 不正を行う者は、自分の行った不正に対して報いを受けるであろう。それには差別扱いはない。
For anyone who does unrighteousness will receive the penalty for the unrighteousness that he did, and there is no favoritism.
