テモテへの手紙第二 4
1 神のみまえと、生きている者と死んだ者とをさばくべきキリスト・イエスのみまえで、キリストの出現とその御国とを思い、おごそかに命じる。
I adjure [thee] before God, and Christ Jesus—Who is about to be judging living and dead, —both as to his forthshining and his kingdom,
2 御言を宣べ伝えなさい。時が良くても悪くても、それを励み、あくまでも寛容な心でよく教えて、責め、戒め、勧めなさい。
Proclaim the word, take thy position—in season, out of season, —convince, rebuke, encourage, —with all long-suffering and teaching.
3 人々が健全な教に耐えられなくなり、耳ざわりのよい話をしてもらおうとして、自分勝手な好みにまかせて教師たちを寄せ集め、
For there will be a season—when, the healthful teaching, they will not endure, but, according to their own covetings, will, unto themselves, heap up teachers, because they have an itching ear,
4 そして、真理からは耳をそむけて、作り話の方にそれていく時が来るであろう。
And, from the truth, indeed, their ear, will they turn away, while, unto stories, they will turn themselves aside.
5 しかし、あなたは、何事にも慎み、苦難を忍び、伝道者のわざをなし、自分の務を全うしなさい。
But, thou, —be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do, the work, of an evangelist, thy ministry, completely fulfill;
6 わたしは、すでに自身を犠牲としてささげている。わたしが世を去るべき時はきた。
For, I, already, am being poured out as a drink-offering, and, the season of my release, is at hand, —
7 わたしは戦いをりっぱに戦いぬき、走るべき行程を走りつくし、信仰を守りとおした。
The noble contest, have I contested, the race, have I finished, the faith, have I kept:
8 今や、義の冠がわたしを待っているばかりである。かの日には、公平な審判者である主が、それを授けて下さるであろう。わたしばかりではなく、主の出現を心から待ち望んでいたすべての人にも授けて下さるであろう。
Henceforth, lieth by for me—the crown, of righteousness, which the Lord will render unto me in that, day, —The righteous judge, —Ye, not alone unto me, but unto all them also who have loved his forthshining.
9 わたしの所に、急いで早くきてほしい。
Give diligence to come unto me speedily,
For, Demas, hath forsaken me, having loved the present age, and hath journeyed unto Thessalonica; Crescens unto Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia: (aiōn g165)
11 ただルカだけが、わたしのもとにいる。マルコを連れて、一緒にきなさい。彼はわたしの務のために役に立つから。
Luke, alone is with me. Receiving, Mark, back, bring him with thyself, for he is very useful to me for ministering;
12 わたしはテキコをエペソにつかわした。
and, Tychicus, have I sent unto Ephesus.
13 あなたが来るときに、トロアスのカルポの所に残しておいた上着を持ってきてほしい。また書物も、特に、羊皮紙のを持ってきてもらいたい。
The cloak that I left in Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring; and the scrolls, especially, the parchments.
14 銅細工人のアレキサンデルが、わたしを大いに苦しめた。主はそのしわざに対して、彼に報いなさるだろう。
Alexander the coppersmith, of much baseness towards me, hath given proof, —the Lord will render unto him according to his works.—
15 あなたも、彼を警戒しなさい。彼は、わたしたちの言うことに強く反対したのだから。
Of whom, be, thou also, on thy guard, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 わたしの第一回の弁明の際には、わたしに味方をする者はひとりもなく、みなわたしを捨てて行った。どうか、彼らが、そのために責められることがないように。
In my first defence, no man, came in to help me, but, all, forsook me, —unto them, may it not be reckoned!—
17 しかし、わたしが御言を余すところなく宣べ伝えて、すべての異邦人に聞かせるように、主はわたしを助け、力づけて下さった。そして、わたしは、ししの口から救い出されたのである。
But, the Lord, stood by me, and empowered me, in order that, through me, the proclamation, might be fully made, and, all the nations, might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion: —
The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work, and will bring me safe into his heavenly kingdom: unto whom be the glory, unto the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 プリスカとアクラとに、またオネシポロの家に、よろしく伝えてほしい。
Salute Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.
20 エラストはコリントにとどまっており、トロピモは病気なので、ミレトに残してきた。
Erastus, remained in Corinth; but, Trophimus, I left at Miletus, sick.
21 冬になる前に、急いできてほしい。ユブロ、プデス、リノス、クラウデヤならびにすべての兄弟たちから、あなたによろしく。
Give diligence to come, before winter. There salute thee—Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and [all] the brethren.
22 主が、あなたの霊と共にいますように。恵みが、あなたがたと共にあるように。
The Lord, be with thy spirit. Favour, be with you.
