列王記Ⅱ 15

1 イスラエルの王ヤラベアムの第二十七年に、ユダの王アマジヤの子アザリヤが王となった。

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2 彼が王となった時は十六歳で、五十二年の間エルサレムで世を治めた。その母はエルサレムの出身で、名をエコリアといった。

Sixteen years old, was he when he began to reign, and, fifty-two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jecholiah, of Jerusalem.

3 彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべての事を父アマジヤが行ったようにおこなった。

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Amaziah his father, had done.

4 ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。

Only, the high places, took they not away, —still were the people sacrificing and burning incense in the high places.

5 主が王を撃たれたので、その死ぬ日まで、らい病人となって、離れ家に住んだ。王の子ヨタムが家の事を管理し、国の民をさばいた。

And Yahweh smote the king, so that he became a leper, until the day of his death, and dwelt in a lazar-house, —and, Jotham, son of the king, was over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 アザリヤのその他の事績と、彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。

Now, the rest of the story of Azariah, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

7 アザリヤはその先祖たちと共に眠ったので、彼をダビデの町にその先祖たちと共に葬った。その子ヨタムが代って王となった。

And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers, in the city of David, —and, Jotham his son, reigned, in his stead.

8 ユダの王アザリヤの第三十八年にヤラベアムの子ゼカリヤがサマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、六か月世を治めた。

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Zechariah son of Jeroboam to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] six months.

9 彼はその先祖たちがおこなったように主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, as did his fathers, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

10 ヤベシの子シャルムが徒党を結んで彼に敵し、イブレアムで彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。

Then conspired against him, Shallum son of Jabesh, and smote him before the people, and slew him, —and reigned in his stead.

11 ゼカリヤのその他の事績は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。

Now, the rest of the story of Zechariah, behold it! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 主はかつてエヒウに、「あなたの子孫は四代までイスラエルの位に座するであろう」と告げられたが、はたしてそのとおりになった。

That, was the word of Yahweh, which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons, to four generations, shall sit on the throne of Israel. And it was so!

13 ヤベシの子シャルムはユダの王ウジヤの第三十九年に王となり、サマリヤで一か月世を治めた。

Shallum the son of Jabesh, began to reign, in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah, —for the space of a month in Samaria.

14 時にガデの子メナヘムがテルザからサマリヤに上ってきて、ヤベシの子シャルムをサマリヤで撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。

Then came up Menahem son of Gadi, from Tirzah, and entered Samaria, and smote Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, —and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 シャルムのその他の事績と、彼が徒党を結んだ事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。

Now, the rest of the story of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

16 その時メナヘムはテルザから進んでいって、タップアと、そのうちにいるすべての者、およびその領域を撃った。すなわち彼らが彼のために開かなかったので、これを撃って、そのうちの妊娠の女をことごとく引き裂いた。

Then, Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the boundaries thereof, from Tirzah, because they opened not, therefore he smote them, —all the women therein that were with child, he ripped up.

17 ユダの王アザリヤの第三十九年に、ガデの子メナヘムはイスラエルの王となり、サマリヤで十年の間、世を治めた。

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Menahem son of Gadi to reign over Israel, ten years [reigned he], in Samaria.

18 彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を一生の間、離れなかった。

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit, all his days.

19 時にアッスリヤの王プルが国に攻めてきたので、メナヘムは銀一千タラントをプルに与えた。これは彼がプルの助けを得て、国を自分の手のうちに強くするためであった。

Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, so Menahem gave unto Pul, a thousand talents of silver, —that his hands might be with him, to confirm the kingdom, in his hand.

20 すなわちメナヘムはその銀をイスラエルのすべての富める者に課し、その人々におのおの銀五十シケルを出させてアッスリヤの王に与えた。こうしてアッスリヤの王は国にとどまらないで帰っていった。

And Menahem exacted the silver of Israel, of all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Assyria, fifty shekels of silver, of each man, —so the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there, in the land.

21 メナヘムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。

Now, the rest of the story of Menahem, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

22 メナヘムは先祖たちと共に眠り、その子ペカヒヤが代って王となった。

And Menahem slept with his fathers, —and, Pekahiah his son, reigned in his stead.

23 メナヘムの子ペカヒヤはユダの王アザリヤの第五十年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二年の間、世を治めた。

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekahiah son of Menahem to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] two years.

24 彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯せたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

25 時に彼の副官であったレマリヤのペカが、ギレアデびと五十人と共に徒党を結んで彼に敵し、サマリヤの、王の宮殿の天守で彼を撃ち殺した。すなわちペカは彼を殺し、彼に代って王となった。

And there conspired against him—Pekah son of Remaliah, a hero of his, and smote him in Samaria, in the citadel of the house of a king, with Argob and with Arieh, and, with him, fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, —and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

26 ペカヒヤのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。

Now, the rest of the story of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

27 レマリヤの子ペカはユダの王アザリヤの第五十二年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二十年の間、世を治めた。

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekah son of Remaliah to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] twenty years.

28 彼は主の目の前に悪をおこない、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

29 イスラエルの王ペカの世に、アッスリヤの王テグラテピレセルが来て、イヨン、アベル・ベテマアカ、ヤノア、ケデシ、ハゾル、ギレアデ、ガリラヤ、ナフタリの全地を取り、人々をアッスリヤへ捕え移した。

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, came Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali—and carried them away captive to Assyria.

30 時にエラの子ホセアは徒党を結んで、レマリヤの子ペカに敵し、彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。これはウジヤの子ヨタムの第二十年であった。

And Hoshea son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah, son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, —in the twentieth year of Jotham, son of Uzziah.

31 ペカのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。

Now, the rest of the story of Pekah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

32 レマリヤの子イスラエルの王ペカの第二年に、ユダの王ウジヤの子ヨタムが王となった。

In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, began Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33 彼は王となった時二十五歳であったが、エルサレムで十六年の間、世を治めた。母はザドクの娘で、名をエルシャといった。

Twenty-five years old, was he, when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he, in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jerusha, daughter of Zadok.

34 彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべて父ウジヤの行ったようにおこなった。

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that Uzziah his father had done.

35 ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。彼は主の宮の上の門を建てた。

Only, the high places, took they not away, still were the people offering sacrifice and burning incense in the high places, —he, built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.

36 ヨタムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。

Now, the rest of the story of Jotham, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

37 そのころ、主はスリヤの王レヂンとレマリヤの子ペカをユダに攻めこさせられた。

In those days, began Yahweh to send against Judah, Rezin, king of Syria, —and Pekah son of Remaliah.

38 ヨタムは先祖たちと共に眠って、その先祖ダビデの町に先祖たちと共に葬られ、その子アハズが代って王となった。

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Ahaz his son, reigned, in his stead.
