ヨハネの手紙第二 1
1 長老のわたしから、真実に愛している選ばれた婦人とその子たちへ。あなたがたを愛しているのは、わたしだけではなく、真理を知っている者はみなそうである。
The elder to the chosen lady, and to her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those having known the truth,
because of the truth that is remaining in us, and will be with us throughout the age, (aiōn g165)
3 父なる神および父の御子イエス・キリストから、恵みとあわれみと平安とが、真理と愛のうちにあって、わたしたちと共にあるように。
there will be with you grace, mercy, [and] peace from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 あなたの子供たちのうちで、わたしたちが父から受けた戒めどおりに、真理のうちを歩いている者があるのを見て、わたしは非常に喜んでいる。
I rejoiced exceedingly that I have found of your children walking in truth, even as we received a command from the Father;
5 婦人よ。ここにお願いしたいことがある。それは、新しい戒めを書くわけではなく、初めから持っていた戒めなのであるが、わたしたちは、みんな互に愛し合おうではないか。
and now I implore you, lady, not as writing to you a new command, but which we had from the beginning, that we may love one another,
6 父の戒めどおりに歩くことが、すなわち、愛であり、あなたがたが初めから聞いてきたとおりに愛のうちを歩くことが、すなわち、戒めなのである。
and this is love, that we may walk according to His commands; this is the command, even as you heard from the beginning, that you may walk in it,
7 なぜなら、イエス・キリストが肉体をとってこられたことを告白しないで人を惑わす者が、多く世にはいってきたからである。そういう者は、惑わす者であり、反キリストである。
because many deceivers entered into the world, who are not confessing Jesus Christ coming in flesh; this one is he who is leading astray, and the antichrist.
8 よく注意して、わたしたちの働いて得た成果を失うことがなく、豊かな報いを受けられるようにしなさい。
See to yourselves that you may not lose the things that we worked for, but may receive a full reward;
9 すべてキリストの教をとおり過ごして、それにとどまらない者は、神を持っていないのである。その教にとどまっている者は、父を持ち、また御子をも持つ。
everyone who is transgressing, and is not remaining in the teaching of the Christ, does not have God; he who is remaining in the teaching of the Christ, this one has both the Father and the Son;
10 この教を持たずにあなたがたのところに来る者があれば、その人を家に入れることも、あいさつすることもしてはいけない。
if anyone comes to you, and does not bear this teaching, do not receive him into the house, and do not say to him, “Greetings!”
11 そのような人にあいさつする者は、その悪い行いにあずかることになるからである。
For he who is saying to him, “Greetings,” has fellowship with his evil works.
12 あなたがたに書きおくることはたくさんあるが、紙と墨とで書くことはすまい。むしろ、あなたがたのところに行き、直接はなし合って、共に喜びに満ちあふれたいものである。
Having many things to write to you, I did not intend [it] with paper and ink, but I hope to come to you, and speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.
13 選ばれたあなたの姉妹の子供たちが、あなたによろしく。
The children of your chosen sister greet you. Amen.
