歴代誌Ⅰ 15
1 ダビデはダビデの町のうちに自分のために家を建て、また神の箱のために所を備え、これがために幕屋を張った。
And he made him houses, in the city of David, —and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 ダビデは言った、「神の箱をかくべき者はただレビびとのみである。主が主の箱をかかせ、また主に長く仕えさせるために彼らを選ばれたからである」。
Then, said David, None must carry the ark of God, save the Levites, —for, of them, did Yahweh make choice, to bear the ark of Yahweh, and to attend it, unto times age-abiding.
3 ダビデは主の箱をこれがために備えた所にかき上るため、イスラエルをことごとくエルサレムに集めた。
So David convoked all Israel, unto Jerusalem, —to bring up the ark of Yahweh, unto the place thereof, which he had prepared for it.
4 ダビデはまたアロンの子孫とレビびとを集めた。
And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 すなわち、コハテの子孫のうちからはウリエルを長としてその兄弟百二十人、
Of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brethren, one hundred and twenty;
6 メラリの子孫のうちからはアサヤを長としてその兄弟二百二十人、
of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred and twenty;
7 ゲルショムの子孫のうちからはヨエルを長としてその兄弟百三十人、
of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brethren, one hundred and thirty;
8 エリザパンの子孫のうちからはシマヤを長としてその兄弟二百人、
of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren, two hundred;
9 ヘブロンの子孫のうちからはエリエルを長としてその兄弟八十人、
of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brethren, eighty;
10 ウジエルの子孫のうちからはアミナダブを長としてその兄弟百十二人である。
of the son of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brethren, a hundred and twelve.
11 ダビデは祭司ザドクとアビヤタル、およびレビびとウリエル、アサヤ、ヨエル、シマヤ、エリエル、アミナダブを召し、
Then called David, for Zadok and for Abiathar, the priests, —and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah and Joel, Shemaiah and Eliel, and Amminadab;
12 彼らに言った、「あなたがたはレビびとの氏族の長である。あなたがたとあなたがたの兄弟はともに身を清め、イスラエルの神、主の箱をわたしがそのために備えた所にかき上りなさい。
and said unto them, Ye, are the chiefs of the fathers of the Levites, —Hallow yourselves, ye and your brethren, so shall ye bring up the ark of Yahweh—God of Israel, into [the place] I have prepared for it.
13 さきにこれをかいた者があなたがたでなかったので、われわれの神、主はわれわれを撃たれました。これはわれわれがその定めにしたがってそれを扱わなかったからです」。
Because, at the first, ye, did not [bring it], Yahweh our God brake forth against us, because we sought him not in the appointed way.
14 そこで祭司たちとレビびとたちはイスラエルの神、主の箱をかき上るために身を清め、
So the priests and the Levites hallowed themselves, —to bring up the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel.
15 レビびとたちはモーセが主の言葉にしたがって命じたように、神の箱をさおをもって肩にになった。
And the sons of the Levites bare the ark of God, just as Moses commanded, according to the word of Yahweh, —on their shoulder, with the staves upon them.
16 ダビデはまたレビびとの長たちに、その兄弟たちを選んで歌うたう者となし、立琴と琴とシンバルなどの楽器を打ちはやし、喜びの声をあげることを命じた。
And David spake to the chiefs of the Levites, to station their brethren the singers, with instruments of song, harps and lyres, and cymbals, —sounding aloud at the lifting up of the voice, for joy.
17 そこでレビびとはヨエルの子ヘマンと、その兄弟ベレキヤの子アサフおよびメラリの子孫である彼らの兄弟クシャヤの子エタンを選んだ。
So the Levites caused to stand, Heman son of Joel, and, of his brethren, Asaph, son of Berechiah, —and, of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan, son of Kushaiah;
18 またこれに次ぐその兄弟たちがこれと共にいた。すなわちゼカリヤ、ヤジエル、セミラモテ、エイエル、ウンニ、エリアブ、ベナヤ、マアセヤ、マッタテヤ、エリペレホ、ミクネヤおよび門を守る者オベデ・エドムとエイエル。
and, with them, their brethren of the second degree, —Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mickneiah, and Obed-edom and Jeiel, the door-keepers.
19 歌うたう者ヘマン、アサフおよびエタンは青銅のシンバルを打ちはやす者であった。
And, the singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan, with cymbals of bronze, were to sound aloud;
20 ゼカリヤ、アジエル、セミラモテ、エイエル、ウンニ、エリアブ、マアセヤ、ベナヤはアラモテにしたがって立琴を奏する者であった。
and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah and Benaiah, —with harps, over the trebles;
21 しかしマッタテヤ、エリペレホ、ミクネヤ、オベデ・エドム、エイエル、アザジヤはセミニテにしたがって琴をもって指揮する者であった。
and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel and Azaziah, —with lyres over the bass, to take the lead.
22 ケナニヤはレビびとの楽長で、音楽に通じていたので、これを指揮した。
And, Chenaniah the leader of the Levites, in the service, used to give instructions in the service, because skilful was he.
23 ベレキヤとエルカナは箱のために門を守る者であった。
And, Berechiah and Elkanah, were door-keepers to the ark.
24 祭司シバニヤ、ヨシャパテ、ネタネル、アマサイ、ゼカリヤ、ベナヤ、エリエゼルらは神の箱の前でラッパを吹き、オベデ・エドムとエヒアは箱のために門を守る者であった。
And, Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, were blowing with the trumpets, before the ark of God, —and, Obed-edom and Jehiah, were door-keepers, to the ark.
25 ダビデとイスラエルの長老たちおよび千人の長たちは行って、オベデ・エドムの家から主の契約の箱を喜び勇んでかき上った。
Thus, it was, David and the elders of Israel, and the rulers of thousands, who were going, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, out of the house of Obed-edom, with joy.
26 神が主の契約の箱をかくレビびとを助けられたので、彼らは雄牛七頭、雄羊七頭をささげた。
And so it was that, when God helped the Levites, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 ダビデは亜麻布の衣服を着ていた。箱をかくすべてのレビびとは、歌うたう者、音楽をつかさどるケナニヤも同様である。ダビデはまた亜麻布のエポデを着ていた。
Now, David, was wrapped about with a robe of byssus, with all the Levites who were bearing the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the leader of the service rendered by the singers, —but, upon David, was an ephod of white linen.
28 こうしてイスラエルは皆、声をあげ、角笛を吹きならし、ラッパと、シンバルと、立琴と琴をもって打ちはやして主の契約の箱をかき上った。
So, all Israel, were bringing up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, with shouting, and with sound of the horn, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, —sounding aloud, with harps, and lyres.
29 主の契約の箱がダビデの町にはいったとき、サウルの娘ミカルが窓からながめ、ダビデ王の舞い踊るのを見て、心のうちに彼をいやしめた。
And so it was that, when the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came in as far as the city of David, —and Michal daughter of Saul looked forth through the window, and saw King David, dancing and playing, that she despised him in her heart.
