ヨハネの福音書 3
1 さて，ユダヤ人の支配者で，ニコデモという名のファリサイ人に属する人がいた。
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 この人が，夜，彼のもとに来て，彼に言った。「ラビ，わたしたちはあなたが神のもとから来た教師だということを知っています。神が共におられなければ，あなたのなさるこのようなしるしを行なうことはだれにもできないからです」。
The same came to Yahushua by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from Elohim: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except Elohim be with him.
3 イエスは彼に答えた，「本当にはっきりとあなたに告げる。人は再び生まれなければ，神の王国を見ることはできない」 。
Yahushua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of YHWH.
4 ニコデモはイエスに言った，「人は年老いてから，どうして生まれることができるのですか。自分の母の胎にもう一度入って生まれることなどできないではありませんか」。
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 イエスは答えた，「本当にはっきりとあなたに告げる。人は水と霊から生まれなければ，神の王国に入ることはできない。
Yahushua answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of YHWH.
6 肉から生まれた物は肉だが，霊から生まれた物は霊だ。
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 『あなた方はみな再び生まれなければならない』と言ったことで，驚き怪しんではいけない。
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 風はその望むところに吹く。あなたはその音は聞こえるが，それがどこから来てどこへ行くのかを知らない。霊から生まれる者もみな，そのようだ」 。
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 ニコデモはイエスに答えた，「どうしてそのようなことがあり得るのでしょうか」。
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 イエスは彼に答えた，「あなたはイスラエルの教師でありながら，こうしたことが理解できないのか。
Yahushua answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 本当にはっきりとあなたに告げる。わたしたちは自分たちが知っていることを話し，自分が見たことを証言する。だが，あなた方はわたしたちの証言を受け入れない。
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 わたしが地上の事柄を告げてもあなた方は信じない。わたしが天上の事柄について言うならば，あなた方はどうして信じるだろうか。
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 天から下ってきた者，すなわち天にいる人の子のほかには，だれも天に上った者はいない。
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which was in heaven.
14 ちょうどモーセが荒野で蛇を挙げたように，人の子も挙げられなければならない。
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
17 神がご自分の子を世に遣わしたのは，世を裁くためではなく，世が彼を通して救われるためだからだ。
For YHWH sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 彼を信じる者は裁かれない。彼を信じない者はすでに裁かれている。神のひとり子の名を信じていないからだ。
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of YHWH.
19 光が世に来ているのに，その業が悪いために，人々が光より闇を愛したことがその裁きだ。
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 悪を行なう者はみな，光を憎んで，光の方に来ないからだ。その業が明るみに出ないようにするためだ。
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 しかし，真実を行なう者は光の方へ来る。神にあってなされて来たその業が示されるためだ」 。
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in Elohim.
22 こうした事ののち，イエスは弟子たちと共にユダヤの地へ行き，そこで彼らと共に滞在し，バプテスマを施していた。
After these things came Yahushua and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 ヨハネもサリムの近くのイノンでバプテスマを施していた。そこには水が多かったからである。人々は来て，バプテスマを受けていた。
And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 ヨハネはまだ投獄されていなかったからである。
For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 そこで，ヨハネの弟子たちの一部と何人かのユダヤ人たちとの間で，清めに関する論争が起こった。
Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.
26 彼らは，ヨハネのところに来て，彼に言った。「ラビ，ヨルダンの向こうであなたと共にいた人，あなたが証言なさった人が，見てください，その人がバプテスマを施していて，みんなが彼のもとに来ています」。
And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 ヨハネは答えた，「人は，天から与えられているのでなければ，何も受けることはできない。
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 『わたしはキリストではない』が『わたしはその方より先に遣わされた』とわたしが言ったことを，あなた方自身が証言できる。
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Messiah, but that I am sent before him.
29 花嫁を持つ者は花婿だ。立って彼の声を聞く花婿の友人は，彼の声のために大いに喜ぶ。だから，わたしの喜びは満たされている。
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 あの方は増し加わり，わたしは減らなければならない。
He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 上から来る方はすべての者の上におられる。地からの者は地に属し，地のことを話す。天から来る方はすべての者の上におられる。
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 その方は自分が見聞きしたことを証言されるが，だれもその証言を受け入れない。
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 その証言を受け入れた者は，神が真実な方だということに自分の証印を押したのだ。
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that Elohim is true.
34 神が遣わされた方は神の言葉を話されるからであり，神は霊を量って与えたりはされないからだ。
For he whom YHWH hath sent speaketh the words of YHWH: for YHWH giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 父はみ子を愛しておられ，その方の手にすべての物を与えられた。
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
