テトスへの手紙 2
1 されど汝は健全なる教に適ふことを語れ。
But say the things which fit sound doctrine,
2 老人には自ら制することと謹嚴と謹愼とを勸め、また信仰と愛と忍耐とに健全ならんことを勸めよ。
that older men should be sober-minded, worthy of respect, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in patience:
3 老いたる女にも同じく、清潔にかなふ行爲をなし、人を謗らず、大酒の奴隷とならず、善き事を教ふる者とならんことを勸めよ。
and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
4 かつ彼 等をして若き女に夫を愛し、子を愛し、
that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 謹愼と貞操とを守り、家の務をなし、仁慈をもち、己が夫に服はんことを教へしめよ。これ神の言の汚されざらん爲なり。
to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God's word may not be blasphemed.
6 若き人にも同じく謹愼を勸め、
Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded;
7 なんぢ自ら凡ての事につきて善き業の模範を示せ。教をなすには邪曲なきことと謹嚴と、
in all things showing yourself an example of good works. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness,
8 責むべき所なき健全なる言とを以てすべし。これ逆ふ者をして我らの惡を言ふに由なく、自ら恥づる所あらしめん爲なり。
and a sound message that cannot be condemned; that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.
9 奴隷には己が主人に服ひ、凡ての事において之を喜ばせ、之に言ひ逆はず、
Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing in all things; not contradicting;
10 物を盜まず、反つて全き忠信を顯すべきことを勸めよ。これ凡ての事において我らの救主なる神の教を飾らん爲なり。
not stealing, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God, our Savior, in all things.
11 凡ての人に救を得さする神の恩惠は既に顯れて、
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,
instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn g165)
13 幸福なる望、すなはち大なる神、われらの救主イエス・キリストの榮光の顯現を待つべきを我らに教ふ。
looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Yeshua Meshikha;
14 キリストは我等のために己を與へたまへり。是われらを諸般の不法より贖ひ出して、善き業に熱心なる特選の民を己がために潔めんとてなり。
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
15 なんぢ全き權威をもて此 等のことを語り、勸め、また責めよ。なんぢ人に輕んぜらるな。
Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
