ヨハネの黙示録 2
1 エペソに在る教會の使に書きおくれ。「右の手に七つの星を持つ者、七つの金の燈臺の間に歩むもの斯く言ふ、
To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 われ汝の行爲と勞と忍耐とを知る。また汝が惡しき者を忍び得ざることと、自ら使徒と稱へて使徒にあらぬ者どもを試みて、その虚僞なるを見あらはししこととを知る。
I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear them who are evil; and thou hast tried them who say they are apostles, and are not; and hast found them liars:
3 なんぢは忍耐を保ち、我が名のために忍びて倦まざりき。
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast labored, and hast not fainted.
4 されど我なんぢに責むべき所あり、なんぢは初の愛を離れたり。
Nevertheless, I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 さればなんぢ何處より墜ちしかを思へ、悔改めて初の行爲をなせ、然らずして若し悔改めずば、我なんぢに到り汝の燈臺を、その處より取除かん。
Remember therefore from whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come to thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent.
6 されど汝に取るべき所あり、汝はニコライ宗の行爲を憎む、我も之を憎むなり。
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 耳ある者は御靈の諸 教會に言ひ給ふことを聽くべし、勝を得る者には、われ神のパラダイスに在る生命の樹の實を食ふことを許さん」
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8 スミルナに在る教會の使に書きおくれ。「最先にして最後なる者、死人となりて復 生きし者かく言ふ。
And to the angel of the church in Smyrna, write; These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and is alive;
9 われ汝の艱難と貧窮とを知る――されど汝は富める者なり。我はまた自らユダヤ人と稱へてユダヤ人にあらず、サタンの會に屬く者より汝が譏を受くるを知る。
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them who say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan.
10 なんぢ受けんとする苦難を懼るな、視よ、惡魔なんぢらを試みんとて、汝らの中の或 者を獄に入れんとす。汝ら十日のあひだ患難を受けん、なんぢ死に至るまで忠實なれ、然らば我なんぢに生命の冠冕を與へん。
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil will cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful to death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 耳ある者は御靈の諸 教會に言ひ給ふことを聽くべし。勝を得るものは第二の死に害はるることなし」
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches; He that overcometh, shall not be hurt by the second death.
12 ペルガモに在る教會の使に書きおくれ。「兩刃の利き劍を持つもの斯く言ふ、
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he who hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 われ汝の住むところを知る、彼處にはサタンの座位あり、汝わが名を保ち、わが忠實なる證人アンテパスが、汝 等のうち即ちサタンの住む所にて殺されし時も、なほ我を信ずる信仰を棄てざりき。
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan's seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 されど我なんぢに責むべき一二の事あり、汝の中にバラムの教を保つ者どもあり、バラムはバラクに教へ、彼をしてイスラエルの子孫の前に躓物を置かしめ、偶像に献げし物を食はせ、かつ淫行をなさしめたり。
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit lewdness.
15 斯くのごとく汝らの中にもニコライ宗の教を保つ者あり。
So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
16 さらば悔改めよ、然らずば我すみやかに汝に到り、わが口の劍にて彼らと戰はん。
Repent; or else I will come to thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 耳ある者は御靈の諸 教會に言ひ給ふことを聽くべし、勝を得る者には我かくれたるマナを與へん、また受くる者の外たれも知らざる新しき名を録したる白き石を與へん」
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, he excepted, that receiveth [it].
18 テアテラに在る教會の使に書きおくれ。「目は焔のごとく、足は輝ける眞鍮の如くなる神の子かく言ふ、
And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass;
19 われ汝の行爲および汝の愛と信仰と職と忍耐とを知る、又なんぢの初の行爲よりは後の行爲の多きことを知る。
I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first:
20 されど我なんぢに責むべき所あり、汝はかの自ら預言者と稱へて我が僕を教へ惑し、淫行をなさしめ、偶像に献げし物を食はしむる女イゼベルを容れおけり。
Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit lewdness, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 我かれに悔改むる機を與ふれど、その淫行を悔改むることを欲せず。
And I gave her time to repent of her lewdness, and she repented not.
22 視よ、我かれを牀に投げ入れん、又かれと共に姦淫を行ふ者も、その行爲を悔改めずば、大なる患難に投げ入れん。
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 又かれの子供を打ち殺さん、斯くてもろもろの教會は、わが人の腎と心とを究むる者なるを知るべし、我は汝 等おのおのの行爲に隨ひて報いん。
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
24 我この他のテアテラの人にして未だかの教を受けず、所謂サタンの深きところを知らぬ汝らに斯くいふ、我ほかの重を汝らに負はせじ。
But to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, As many as have not this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you no other burden:
25 ただ汝 等はその有つところを我が到らん時まで保て。
But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come.
26 勝を得て終に至るまで我が命ぜしことを守る者には、諸國の民を治むる權威を與へん。
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 彼は鐵の杖をもて之を治め、土の器を碎くが如くならん、我が父より我が受けたる權威のごとし。
(And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: ) even as I received of my Father.
28 我また彼に曙の明星を與へん。
And I will give him the morning-star.
29 耳ある者は御靈の諸 教會に言ひ給ふことを聽くべし」
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
