< 箴言 知恵の泉 14 >
1 智慧ある婦はその家をたて 愚なる婦はおのれの手をもて之を毀つ
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
2 直くあゆむ者はヱホバを畏れ 曲りてあゆむ者はこれを侮る
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.
3 愚なる者の口にはその傲のために鞭笞あり 智者の口唇はおのれを守る
In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4 牛なければ飼蒭倉むなし牛の力によりて生產る物おほし
Where no oxen [are], the crib [is] clean: but much increase [is] by the strength of the ox.
5 忠信の證人はいつはらず 虚偽のあかしびとは謊言を吐く
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
6 嘲笑者は智慧を求むれどもえず 哲者は知識を得ること容易し
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and [findeth it] not: but knowledge [is] easy to him that understandeth.
7 汝おろかなる者の前を離れされ つひに知識の彼にあるを見ざるべし
Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not [in him] the lips of knowledge.
8 賢者の智慧はおのれの道を暁るにあり 愚なる者の痴は欺くにあり
The wisdom of the prudent [is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit.
9 おろろかなる者は罪をかろんず されど義者の中には恩惠あり
Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous [there is] favor.
10 心の苦みは心みづから知る其よろこびには他人あづからず
The heart knoweth its own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12 人のみづから見て正しとする途にしてその終はつひに死にいたる途となるものあり
There is a way which seemeth right to a man, but the end of it [are] the ways of death.
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth [is] heaviness.
14 心の悖れる者はおのれの途に飽かん 善人もまた自己に飽かん
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16 智慧ある者は怖れて惡をはなれ 愚なる者はたかぶりて怖れず
A wise [man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
17 怒り易き者は愚なることを行ひ 惡き謀計を設くる者は惡まる
[He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
18 拙者は愚なる事を得て所有となし 賢者は知識をもて冠弁となす
The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 惡者は善者の前に俯伏し 罪ある者は義者の門に俯伏す
The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20 貧者はその鄰にさへも惡まる されど富者を愛する者はおほし
The poor is hated even by his own neighbor: but the rich [hath] many friends.
21 その鄰を藐むる者は罪あり 困苦者を憐むものは幸福あり
He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy [is] he.
22 惡を謀る者は自己をあやまるにあらずや 善を謀る者には憐憫と眞實とあり
Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth [shall be] to them that devise good.
23 すべての勤勞には利益あり されど口唇のことばは貧乏をきたらするのみなり
In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury.
24 智慧ある者の財寳はその冠弁となる 愚なる者のおろかはただ痴なり
The crown of the wise [is] their riches: [but] the foolishness of fools [is] folly.
25 眞實の證人は人のいのちを救ふ 謊言を吐く者は偽人なり
A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful [witness] speaketh lies.
26 ヱホバを畏るることは堅き依賴なり その兒輩は逃避場をうべし
In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 ヱホバを畏るることは生命の泉なり 人を死の罟より脱れしむ
The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
28 王の榮は民の多きにあり 牧伯の衰敗は民を失ふにあり
In the multitude of people [is] the king's honor: but in the want of people [is] the destruction of the prince.
29 怒を遅くする者は大なる知識あり 氣の短き者は愚なることを顯す
[He that is] slow to wrath [is] of great understanding: but [he that is] hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30 心の安穩なるは身のいのちなり 娼嫉は骨の腐なり
A sound heart [is] the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31 貧者を虐ぐる者はその造主を侮るなり 彼をうやまふ者は貧者をあはれむ
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoreth him hath mercy on the poor.
32 惡者はその惡のうちにて亡され義者はその死ぬる時にも望あり
The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
33 智慧は哲者の心にとどまり 愚なる者の衷にある事はあらはる
Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but [that which is] in the midst of fools is made known.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.
35 さとき僕は王の恩を蒙ぶり 辱をきたらす者はその震怒にあふ
The king's favor [is] towards a wise servant: but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
