箴言 知恵の泉 13
1 智慧ある子は父の敎訓をきき 戯謔者は懲治をきかず
A wise son is instructed of his father; but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
2 人はその口の徳によりて福祉をくらひ悖逆者の霊魂は強暴をくらふ
A man shall eat good from the fruit of his mouth; but the desire of the faithless is violence.
3 その口を守る者はその生命を守る その口唇を大きくひらく者には滅亡きたる
He that guardeth his mouth keepeth his life; but for him that openeth wide his lips there shall be ruin.
4 惰る者はこころに慕へども得ることなし 勤めはたらく者の心は豊饒なり
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be abundantly gratified.
5 義者は虚偽の言をにくみ 惡者ははぢをかうむらせ面を赤くせしむ
A righteous man hateth lying; but a wicked man behaveth vilely and shamefully.
6 義は道を直くあゆむ者をまもり 惡は罪人を倒す
Righteousness guardeth him that is upright in the way; but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
7 自ら富めりといひあらはして些少の所有もなき者あり 自ら貧しと稱へて資財おほき者あり
There is that pretendeth himself rich, yet hath nothing; there is that pretendeth himself poor, yet hath great wealth.
8 人の資財はその生命を贖ふものとなるあり 然ど貧者は威嚇をきくことあらず
The ransom of a man's life are his riches; but the poor heareth no threatening.
9 義者の光は輝き惡者の燈火はけさる
The light of the righteous rejoiceth; but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
10 驕傲はただ爭端を生ず 勸告をきく者は智慧あり
By pride cometh only contention; but with the well-advised is wisdom.
11 詭計をもて得たる資財は減る されど手をもて聚めたくはふる者はこれを増すことを得
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished; but he that gathereth little by little shall increase.
12 望を得ること遅きときは心を疾しめ 願ふ所旣にとぐるときは生命の樹を得たるがごとし
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
13 御言をかろんずる者は亡され 誡命をおそるる者は報賞を得
Whoso despiseth the word shall suffer thereby; but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
14 智慧ある人の敎訓はいのちの泉なり 能く人をして死の罟を脱れしむ
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
15 善にして哲きものは恩を蒙る されど悖逆者の途は艱難なり
Good understanding giveth grace; but the way of the faithless is harsh.
16 凡そ賢者は知識に由りて事をおこなひ 愚なる者はおのれの痴を顯す
Every prudent man dealeth with forethought; but a fool unfoldeth folly.
17 惡き使者は災禍に陷る されど忠信なる使者は良薬の如し
A wicked messenger falleth into evil; but a faithful ambassador is health.
18 貧乏と恥辱とは敎訓をすつる者にきたる されど譴責を守る者は尊まる
Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction; but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
19 望を得れば心に甘し 愚なる者は惡を棄つることを嫌ふ
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; and it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.
20 智慧ある者と偕にあゆむものは智慧をえ 愚なる者の友となる者はあしくなる
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise; but the companion of fools shall smart for it.
21 わざはひは罪人を追ひ 義者は善報をうく
Evil pursueth sinners; but to the righteous good shall be repaid.
22 善人はその產業を子孫に遺す されど罪人の資財は義者のために蓄へらる
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children; and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.
23 貧しき者の新田にはおほくの糧あり されど不義によりて亡る者あり
Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but there is that is swept away by want of righteousness.
24 鞭をくはへざる者はその子を憎むなり 子を愛する者はしきりに之をいましむ
He that spareth his rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
25 義しき者は食をえて飽く されど惡者の腹は空し
The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his desire; but the belly of the wicked shall want.
