箴言 知恵の泉 11
1 いつはりの權衝はヱホバに惡まれ 義しき法馬は彼に欣ばる
A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
2 驕傲きたれば辱も亦きたる謙だる者には智慧あり
[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.
3 直者の端荘は己を導き悖逆者の邪曲は己を亡す
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 寳は震怒の日に益なし されど正義は救ふて死をまぬかれしむ
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 完全者はその正義によりてその途を直くせられ 惡者はその惡によりて跌るべし
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 直者はその正義によりて救はれ 悖逆者は自己の惡によりて執へらる
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.
7 惡人は死るときにその望たえ 不義なる者の望もまた絶べし
When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.
8 義者は艱難より救はれ 惡者はこれに代る
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 邪曲なる者は口をもてその鄰を亡す されど義しき者はその知識によりて救はる
An hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 義しきもの幸福を受ればその城邑に歓喜あり 惡きもの亡さるれば歓喜の聲おこる
When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.
11 城邑は直者の祝ふに倚て高く擧られ 惡者の口によりて亡さる
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 その鄰を侮る者は智慧なし 聰明人はその口を噤む
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13 往て人の是非をいふ者は密事を洩し 心の忠信なる者は事を隱す
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 はかりごとなければ民たふれ 議士多ければ平安なり
Where no counsel [is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors [there is] safety.
15 他人のために保證をなす者は苦難をうけ 保證を嫌ふ者は平安なり
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart [for it: ] and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
16 柔順なる婦は榮譽をえ 強き男子は資財を得
A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong [men] retain riches.
17 慈悲ある者は己の霊魂に益をくはへ 殘忍者はおのれの身を擾はす
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but [he that is] cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18 惡者の獲る報はむなしく 義を播くものの得る報賞は確し
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness [shall be] a sure reward.
19 堅く義をたもつ者は生命にいたり 惡を追もとむる者はおのれの死をまねく
As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.
20 心の戻れる者はヱホバに憎まれ 直く道を歩む者は彼に悦ばる
They that are of a froward heart [are] abomination to the LORD: but [such as are] upright in [their] way [are] his delight.
21 手に手をあはするとも惡人は罪をまぬかれず 義人の苗裔は救を得
[Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 美しき婦のつつしみなきは金の環の豕の鼻にあるが如し
[As] a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.
23 義人のねがふところは凡て福祉にいたり 惡人ののぞむところは震怒にいたる
The desire of the righteous [is] only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked [is] wrath.
24 ほどこし散して反りて増ものあり 與ふべきを吝みてかへりて貧しきにいたる者あり
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.
25 施與を好むものは肥え 人を潤ほす者はまた利潤をうく
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 穀物を蔵めて糶ざる者は民に詛はる 然れど售る者の首には祝福あり
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing [shall be] upon the head of him that selleth [it].
27 善をもとむる者は恩惠をえん 惡をもとむる者には惡き事きたらん
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 おのれの富を恃むものは仆れん されど義者は樹の靑葉のごとくさかえん
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 おのれの家をくるしむるものは風をえて所有とせん 愚なる者は心の智きものの僕とならん
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool [shall be] servant to the wise of heart.
30 義人の果は生命の樹なり 智慧ある者は人を捕ふ
The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
31 みよ義人すらも世にありて報をうくべし况て惡人と罪人とをや
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
