ピレモンへの手紙 1
1 キリスト・イエスの囚人たるパウロ及び兄弟テモテ、書を我らが愛する同勞者ピレモン、
Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy my brother, to Philemon my beloved, and our fellow-laborer,
2 我らの姉妹アピヤ、我らと共に戰鬪をなせるアルキポ及び汝の家にある教會に贈る。
and to our beloved Apphia, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church that is in your house:
3 願はくは我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と、汝らに在らんことを。
grace be to you all, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 われ祈るとき常に汝をおぼえて我が神に感謝す。
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,
5 これ主イエスと凡ての聖徒とに對する汝の愛と信仰とを聞きたればなり。
hearing of your love and your faith, which you have in the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints,
6 願ふところは、汝の信仰の交際の活動により、人々われらの中なる凡ての善き業を知りて、榮光をキリストに歸するに至らんことなり。
that your participation in the faith may be active in the acknowledgment of every good thing that is in us, to the honor of Christ Jesus.
7 兄弟よ、我なんぢの愛によりて大なる勸喜と慰安とを得たり。聖徒の心は汝によりて安んぜられたればなり。
For we have great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
8 この故に、われキリストに在りて、汝になすべき事を聊かも憚らず命じ得れど、
Wherefore, though I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do that which is becoming,
9 むしろ愛の故によりて汝にねがふ。
yet, on account of my love, I rather exhort you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner on account of Jesus Christ.
10 既に年 老いて今はキリスト・イエスの囚人となれる我パウロ、縲絏の中にて生みし我が子オネシモの事をなんぢに願ふ。
I beseech you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds,
11 かれ前には汝に益なき者なりしが、今は汝にも我にも益ある者となれり。
who, for some time, has been unprofitable to you, but now is very profitable to you and to me:
12 我かれを汝に歸す、かれは我が心なり。
I send him back, and do you receive him, that is, my son.
13 我は彼をわが許に留めおきて、我が福音のために縲絏にある間、なんぢに代りて我に事へしめんと欲したれど、
I did wish to keep him with me, that, in your stead, he might serve me in my bonds for the gospel;
14 なんぢの承諾を經ずして斯くするを好まざりき、是なんぢの善の止むを得ざるに出でずして心より出でんことを欲したればなり。
but, without your consent, I was not willing to do any thing, that your good deed might not be as a matter of necessity, but one of free-will.
Perhaps, indeed, lie departed for a short time for this reason, that you might receive him forever; (aiōnios g166)
16 もはや奴隷の如くせず、奴隷に勝りて愛する兄弟の如くせん爲なりしやも知るべからず。我は殊に彼を愛す、まして汝は肉によりても主によりても、之を愛せざる可けんや。
no longer as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, especially by me, and how much more by you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 汝もし我を友とせば、請ふ、われを納るるごとく彼を納れよ。
If, then, you regard me as a partner, receive him as myself.
18 彼もし汝に不義をなし、または汝に負債あらば、之を我に負はせよ。
But if he has done you any wrong, or owes you any thing, put that to my account.
19 我パウロ手づから之を記す、われ償はん、汝われに身を以て償ふべき負債あれど、我これを言はず。
I, Paul, do write it with my own hand, I will repay it; that I may not say to you, that you owe to me even yourself besides.
20 兄弟よ、請ふ、なんぢ主に在りて我に益を得させよ、キリストに在りて我が心を安んぜよ。
Yes, brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: refresh my heart in the Lord.
21 我なんぢの從順を確信して之を書き贈る。わが言ふところに勝りて汝の行はんことを知るなり。
Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.
22 而して我がために宿を備へよ、我なんぢらの祈により、遂に我が身の汝らに與へられんことを望めばなり。
At the same time, also, prepare me a lodging: for I hope that through the prayers of you all, I may be given to you.
23 キリスト・イエスに在りて我とともに囚人となれるエパフラス、
Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, salutes you:
24 及び我が同勞者マルコ、アリスタルコ、デマス、ルカ皆なんぢに安否を問ふ。
so also do Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellow-laborers.
25 願はくは主イエス・キリストの恩惠、なんぢらの靈と偕にあらんことを。
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits. Amen.
