ナホム書 1
1 ニネベに關る重き預言 エルコシ人ナホムの異象の書
The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite,
2 ヱホバは妬みかつ仇を報ゆる神 ヱホバは仇を報ゆる者また忿怒の主 ヱホバは己に逆らふ者に仇を報い己に敵する者にむかひて憤恨を含む者なり
God [is] jealous, and the LORD avengeth; the LORD avengeth, and [is] furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies.
3 ヱホバは怒ることの遲く能力の大なる者 また罰すべき者をば必ず赦すことを爲ざる者 ヱホバの道は旋風に在り 大風に在り 雲はその足の塵なり
The LORD [is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD [hath] his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.
4 彼海を指斥て之を乾かし河々をしてことごとく涸しむ バシヤンおよびカルメルの草木は枯れレバノンの花は凋む
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5 彼の前には山々ゆるぎ嶺々溶く 彼の前には地墳上り世界およびその中に住む者皆ふきあげらる
The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, even the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 誰かその憤恨に當ることを得ん 誰かその燃る忿怒に堪ることを得ん 其震怒のそそぐこと火のごとし 巖も之がために裂く
Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
7 ヱホバは善なる者にして患難の時の要害なり 彼は己に倚賴む者を善知たまふ
The LORD [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
8 彼みなぎる洪水をもてその處を全く滅し己に敵する者を幽暗處に逐やりたまはん
But with an over-running flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
9 汝らヱホバに對ひて何を謀るや 彼全く滅したまふべし 患難かさねて起らじ
What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
10 彼等むすびからまれる荊棘のごとくなるとも酒に浸りをるとも乾ける藁のごとくに焚つくさるべし
For while [they] are folded together [as] thorns, and while they are drunken [as] drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
11 ヱホバに對ひて惡事を謀る者一人汝の中より出て邪曲なる事を勸む
There is [one] come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counselor.
12 ヱホバかく言たまふ 彼等全くしてその數夥多しかるとも必ず芟たふされて皆絶ん 我前にはなんぢを苦めたれども重て汝を苦めじ
Thus saith the LORD; Though [they are] quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
13 いま我かれが汝に負せし軛を碎き汝の縛を切はなすべし
For now I will break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds asunder.
14 ヱホバ汝の事につきて命令を下す 汝の名を負ふ者再び播るること有じ 汝の神々の室より我雕像および鑄像を除き絶べし 我汝の墓を備へん 汝輕ければなり
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, [that] no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
15 嘉音信を傳ふる者の脚山の上に見ゆ 彼平安を宣ぶ ユダよ汝の節筵を行ひ汝の誓願を果せ 邪曲なる者重て汝の中を通らざるべし 彼は全く絶る
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
