< マタイの福音書 12 >

1 その頃イエス安息 日に麥 畠をとほり給ひしに、弟子たち飢ゑて穗を摘み、食ひ始めたるを、
At that time, Yeshua went on the Sabbath day through the grain fields. His disciples were hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
2 パリサイ人 見てイエスに言ふ『視よ、なんぢの弟子は安息 日に爲まじき事をなす』
But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, “Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
3 彼らに言ひ給ふ『ダビデがその伴へる人々とともに飢ゑしとき、爲しし事を讀まぬか。
But he said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:
4 即ち神の家に入りて、祭司のほかは、己もその伴へる人々も食ふまじき供のパンを食へり。
how he entered into God’s house and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
5 また安息 日に祭司らは宮の内にて安息 日を犯せども、罪なきことを律法にて讀まぬか。
Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath day the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless?
6 われ汝らに告ぐ、宮より大なる者ここに在り。
But I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.
7 「われ憐憫を好みて犧牲を好まず」とは、如何なる意かを汝ら知りたらんには、罪なき者を罪せざりしならん。
But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you wouldn’t have condemned the guiltless.
8 それ人の子は安息 日の主たるなり』
For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9 イエス此處を去りて、彼らの會堂に入り給ひしに、
He departed from there and went into their synagogue.
10 視よ、片手なえたる人あり。人々イエスを訴へんと思ひ、問ひていふ『安息 日に人を醫すことは善きか』
And behold, there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” so that they might accuse him.
11 彼らに、言ひたまふ『汝 等のうち一匹の羊をもてる者あらんに、もし安息 日に穴に陷らば、之を取りあげぬか。
He said to them, “What man is there amongst you who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it and lift it out?
12 人は羊より優るること如何ばかりぞ。さらば安息 日に善をなすは可し』
Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”
13 ここにかの人に言ひ給ふ『なんぢの手を伸べよ』かれ伸べたれば、他の手のごとく癒ゆ。
Then he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out; and it was restored whole, just like the other.
14 パリサイ人いでていかにしてかイエスを亡さんと議る。
But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.
15 イエス之を知りて此處を去りたまふ。多くの人したがひ來りたれば、ことごとく之を醫し、
Yeshua, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,
16 かつ我を人に知らすなと戒め給へり。
and commanded them that they should not make him known,
17 これ預言者イザヤによりて云はれたる言の成就せんためなり。曰く、
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
18 『視よ、わが選びたる我が僕、わが心の悦ぶ我が愛しむ者、我わが靈を彼に與へん、彼は異邦人に正義を告げ示さん。
“Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19 彼は爭はず、叫ばず、その聲を大路にて聞く者なからん。
He will not strive, nor shout, neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
20 正義をして勝ち遂げしむるまでは、傷へる葦を折ることなく、煙れる亞麻を消すことなからん。
He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory.
21 異邦人も彼の名に望をおかん』
In his name, the nations will hope.”
22 ここに惡鬼に憑かれたる盲目の唖者を御許に連れ來りたれば、之を醫して、唖者の物 言ひ見ゆるやうに爲し給ひぬ。
Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him; and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23 群衆みな驚きて言ふ『これはダビデの子にあらぬか』
All the multitudes were amazed, and said, “Can this be the son of David?”
24 然るにパリサイ人ききて言ふ『この人、惡鬼の首ベルゼブルによらでは、惡鬼を逐ひ出すことなし』
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
25 イエス彼らの思を知りて言ひ給ふ『すべて分れ爭ふ國はほろび、分れ爭ふ町また家はたたず。
Knowing their thoughts, Yeshua said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
26 サタンもしサタンを逐ひ出さば、自ら分れ爭ふなり。さらばその國いかで立つべき。
If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
27 我もしベルゼブルによりて惡鬼を逐ひ出さば、汝らの子は誰によりて之を逐ひ出すか。この故に彼らは汝らの審判 人となるべし。
If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
28 されど我もし神の靈によりて惡鬼を逐ひ出さば、神の國は既に汝らに到れるなり。
But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come upon you.
29 人まづ強き者を縛らずば、いかで強き者の家に入りて、その家財を奪ふことを得ん、縛りて後その家を奪ふべし。
Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house.
30 我と偕ならぬ者は我にそむき、我とともに集めぬ者は散すなり。
“He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters.
31 この故に汝らに告ぐ、人の凡ての罪と瀆とは赦されん、されど御靈を瀆すことは赦されじ。
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
32 誰にても言をもて人の子に逆ふ者は赦されん、されど言をもて聖 靈に逆ふ者は、この世にても後の世にても赦されじ。 (aiōn g165)
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come. (aiōn g165)
33 或は樹をも善しとし、果をも善しとせよ。或は樹をも惡しとし、果をも惡しとせよ。樹は果によりて知らるるなり。
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.
34 蝮の裔よ、なんぢら惡しき者なるに、爭で善きことを言ひ得んや。それ心に滿つるより口に言はるるなり。
You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
35 善き人は善き倉より善き物をいだし、惡しき人は惡しき倉より惡しき物をいだす。
The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.
36 われ汝らに告ぐ、人の語る凡ての虚しき言は、審判の日に糺さるべし。
I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.
37 それは汝の言によりて義とせられ、汝の言によりて罪せらるるなり』
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38 ここに或 學者・パリサイ人ら答へて言ふ『師よ、われら汝の徴を見んことを願ふ』
Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Rabbi, we want to see a sign from you.”
39 答へて言ひたまふ『邪曲にして不義なる代は徴を求む、されど預言者ヨナの徴のほかに徴は與へられじ。
But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
40 即ち「ヨナが三日 三夜、大魚の腹の中に在りし」ごとく、人の子も三日 三夜、地の中に在るべきなり。
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 ニネベの人、審判のとき今の代の人とともに立ちて之が罪を定めん、彼らはヨナの宣ぶる言によりて悔改めたり。視よ、ヨナよりも勝るもの此處に在り。
The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgement with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the proclaiming of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.
42 南の女王、審判のとき今の代の人とともに起きて之が罪を定めん、彼はソロモンの智慧を聽かんとて地の極より來れり。視よ、ソロモンよりも勝る者ここに在り。
The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgement with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.
43 穢れし靈、人を出づるときは、水なき處を巡りて休を求む、而して得ず。
“When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, and doesn’t find it.
44 乃ち「わが出でし家に歸らん」といひ、歸りて、その家の空きて掃き淨められ、飾られたるを見、
Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came;’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
45 遂に往きて己より惡しき他の七つの靈を連れきたり、共に入りて此處に住む。されば其の人の後の状は前よりも惡しくなるなり。邪曲なる此の代もまた斯くの如くならん』
Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.”
46 イエスなほ群衆にかたり居給ふとき、視よ、その母と兄弟たちと、彼に物 言はんとて外に立つ。
While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him.
47 或 人イエスに言ふ『視よ、なんぢの母と兄弟たちと、汝に物 言はんとて外に立てり』
One said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking to speak to you.”
48 イエス告げし者に答へて言ひたまふ『わが母とは誰ぞ、わが兄弟とは誰ぞ』
But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
49 かくて手をのべ、弟子たちを指して言ひたまふ『視よ、これは我が母、わが兄弟なり。
He stretched out his hand towards his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
50 誰にても天にいます我が父の御意をおこなふ者は、即ち我が兄弟、わが姉妹、わが母なり』
For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
