< ルカの福音書 11 >
1 イエス或 處にて祈り居給ひしが、その終りしとき、弟子の一人いふ『主よ、ヨハネの其の弟子に教へし如く、祈ることを我らに教へ給へ』
And it came to pass as he was in a certain place praying, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples.
2 イエス言ひ給ふ『なんぢら祈るときに斯く言へ「父よ、願はくは御名の崇められん事を。御國の來らん事を。
And he said to them, When ye pray, say, Father, thy name be hallowed; thy kingdom come;
give us our needed bread for each day;
4 我らに負債ある凡ての者を我ら免せば、我らの罪をも免し給へ。我らを嘗試にあはせ給ふな」』
and remit us our sins, for we also remit to every one indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.
5 また言ひ給ふ『なんぢらの中たれか友あらんに、夜半にその許に往きて「友よ、我に三つのパンを貸せ。
And he said to them, Who among you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, let me have three loaves,
6 わが友、旅より來りしに、之に供ふべき物なし」と言ふ時、
since a friend of mine on a journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him;
7 かれ内より答へて「われを煩はすな、戸ははや閉ぢ、子らは我と共に臥所にあり、起ちて與へ難し」といふ事ありとも、
and he within answering should say, Do not disturb me; the door is already shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise up to give [it] thee?
8 われ汝らに告ぐ、友なるによりては起ちて與へねど、求の切なるにより、起きて其の要する程のものを與へん。
— I say to you, Although he will not get up and give [them] to him because he is his friend, because of his shamelessness, at any rate, he will rise and give him as many as he wants.
9 われ汝らに告ぐ、求めよ、さらば與へられん。尋ねよ、さらば見出さん。門を叩け、さらば開かれん。
And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
10 すべて求むる者は得、尋ぬる者は見出し、門を叩く者は開かるるなり。
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it will be opened.
11 汝 等のうち父たる者、たれか其の子 魚を求めんに、魚の代に蛇を與へ、
But of whom of you that is a father shall a son ask bread, and [the father] shall give him a stone? or also a fish, and instead of a fish shall give him a serpent?
or if also he shall ask an egg, shall give him a scorpion?
13 さらば汝ら惡しき者ながら、善き賜物をその子らに與ふるを知る。まして天の父は、求むる者に聖 靈を賜はざらんや』
If therefore ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall the Father who is of heaven give [the] Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
14 さてイエス唖の惡鬼を逐ひいだし給へば、惡鬼いでて唖もの言ひしにより、群衆あやしめり。
And he was casting out a demon, and it was dumb; and it came to pass, the demon being gone out, the dumb [man] spoke. And the crowds wondered.
15 其の中の或 者ども言ふ『かれは惡鬼の首ベルゼブルによりて惡鬼を逐ひ出すなり』
But some from among them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casts he out demons.
16 また或 者どもは、イエスを試みんとて天よりの徴を求む。
And others tempting [him] sought from him a sign out of heaven.
17 イエスその思を知りて言ひ給ふ『すべて分れ爭ふ國は亡び、分れ爭ふ家は倒る。
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation: and a house set against a house falls;
18 サタンもし分れ爭はば、その國いかで立つべき。汝 等わが惡鬼を逐ひ出すを、ベルゼブルに由ると言へばなり。
and if also Satan is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom subsist? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub.
19 我もしベルゼブルによりて惡鬼を逐ひ出さば、汝らの子は誰によりて之を逐ひ出すか。この故に彼らは汝らの審判 人となるべし。
But if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, your sons — by whom do they cast [them] out? For this reason they shall be your judges.
20 されど我もし神の指によりて惡鬼を逐ひ出さば、神の國は既に汝らに到れるなり。
But if by the finger of God I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.
21 強きもの武具をよろひて己が屋敷を守るときは、其の所有 安全なり。
When the strong [man] armed keeps his own house, his goods are in peace;
22 されど更に強きもの來りて之に勝つときは、恃とする武具をことごとく奪ひて、分捕物を分たん。
but when the stronger than he coming upon [him] overcomes him, he takes away his panoply in which he trusted, and he will divide the spoil [he has taken] from him.
23 我と偕ならぬ者は我にそむき、我と共に集めぬ者は散すなり。
He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.
24 穢れし靈、人を出づる時は、水なき處を巡りて休を求む。されど得ずして言ふ「わが出でし家に歸らん」
When the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, he goes through dry places seeking rest; and not finding [any] he says, I will return to my house whence I came out.
25 歸りて其の家の掃き淨められ、飾られたるを見、
And having come, he finds it swept and adorned.
26 遂に往きて己よりも惡しき他の七つの靈を連れきたり、共に入りて此處に住む。さればその人の後の状は、前よりも惡しくなるなり』
Then he goes and takes seven other spirits worse than himself, and entering in, they dwell there; and the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first.
27 此 等のことを言ひ給ふとき、群衆の中より或 女、聲をあげて言ふ『幸福なるかな、汝を宿しし胎、なんぢの哺ひし乳房は』
And it came to pass as he spake these things, a certain woman, lifting up her voice out of the crowd, said to him, Blessed is the womb that has borne thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 イエス言ひたまふ『更に幸福なるかな、神の言を聽きて之を守る人は』
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep [it].
29 群衆おし集れる時、イエス言ひ出でたまふ『今の世は邪曲なる代にして徴を求む。されどヨナの徴のほかに徴は與へられじ。
But as the crowds thronged together, he began to say, This generation is a wicked generation: it seeks a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it but the sign of Jonas.
30 ヨナがニネベの人に徴となりし如く、人の子もまた今の代に然らん。
For as Jonas was a sign to the Ninevites, thus shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 南の女王、審判のとき、今の代の人と共に起きて之が罪を定めん。彼はソロモンの智慧を聽かんとて地の極より來れり。視よ、ソロモンよりも勝るもの此處にあり。
A queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, more than Solomon is here.
32 ニネベの人、審判のとき、今の代の人と共に立ちて之が罪を定めん。彼らはヨナの宣ぶる言によりて悔改めたり。視よ、ヨナよりも勝るもの此處に在り。
Men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, more than Jonas is here.
33 誰も燈火をともして、穴藏の中または升の下におく者なし。入り來る者の光を見んために、燈臺の上に置くなり。
But no one having lit a lamp sets it in secret, nor under the corn-measure, but on the lamp-stand, that they who enter in may see the light.
34 汝の身の燈火は目なり、汝の目 正しき時は、全身 明るからん。されど惡しき時は、身もまた暗からん。
The lamp of the body is thine eye: when thine eye is simple, thy whole body also is light; but when it is wicked, thy body also is dark.
35 この故に汝の内の光、闇にはあらぬか、省みよ。
See therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 もし汝の全身 明るくして暗き所なくば、輝ける燈火に照さるる如く、その身 全く明るからん』
If therefore thy whole body [is] light, not having any part dark, it shall be all light as when the lamp lights thee with its brightness.
37 イエスの語り給へるとき、或パリサイ人その家にて食事し給はん事を請ひたれば、入りて席に著きたまふ。
But as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him that he would dine with him; and entering in he placed himself at table.
38 食事 前に手を洗ひ給はぬを、此のパリサイ人 見て怪しみたれば、
But the Pharisee seeing [it] wondered that he had not first washed before dinner.
39 主これに言ひたまふ『今や汝らパリサイ人は、酒杯と盆との外を潔くす、されど汝らの内は貪慾と惡とにて滿つるなり。
But the Lord said to him, Now do ye Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but your inward [parts] are full of plunder and wickedness.
40 愚なる者よ、外を造りし者は、内をも造りしならずや。
Fools, has not he who has made the outside made the inside also?
41 唯その内にある物を施せ。さらば一切の物なんぢらの爲に潔くなるなり。
But rather give alms of what ye have, and behold, all things are clean to you.
42 禍害なるかな、パリサイ人よ、汝らは薄荷・芸香その他あらゆる野菜の十分の一を納めて、公平と神に對する愛とを等閑にす、されど之は行ふべきものなり。而して彼もまた等閑にすべきものならず。
But woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb, and pass by the judgment and the love of God: these ye ought to have done, and not have left those aside.
43 禍害なるかな、パリサイ人よ、汝らは會堂の上座、市場にての敬禮を喜ぶ。
Woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye love the first seat in the synagogues and salutations in the market-places.
44 禍害なるかな、汝らは露れぬ墓のごとし。其の上を歩む人これを知らぬなり』
Woe unto you, for ye are as the sepulchres which appear not, and the men walking over them do not know [it].
45 教法師の一人、答へて言ふ『師よ、斯かることを言ふは、我らをも辱しむるなり』
And one of the doctors of the law answering says to him, Teacher, in saying these things thou insultest us also.
46 イエス言ひ給ふ『なんぢら教法師も禍害なる哉。なんぢら擔ひ難き荷を人に負せて、自ら指 一つだに其の荷につけぬなり。
And he said, To you also woe, doctors of the law, for ye lay upon men burdens heavy to bear, and yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 禍害なるかな、汝らは預言者たちの墓を建つ、之を殺しし者は汝らの先祖なり。
Woe unto you, for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, but your fathers killed them.
48 げに汝らは先祖の所作を可しとする證人ぞ。それは彼らは之を殺し、汝らは其の墓を建つればなり。
Ye bear witness then, and consent to the works of your fathers; for they killed them, and ye build [their sepulchres].
49 この故に神の智慧いへる言あり、われ預言者と使徒とを彼らに遣さんに、その中の或 者を殺し、また逐ひ苦しめん。
For this reason also the wisdom of God has said, I will send to them prophets and apostles, and of these shall they kill and drive out by persecution,
that the blood of all the prophets which has been poured out from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation,
51 即ちアベルの血より、祭壇と聖所との間にて殺されたるザカリヤの血に至るまでを、今の代に糺すべきなり。然り、われ汝らに告ぐ、今の代は糺さるべし。
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the house; yea, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.
52 禍害なるかな教法師よ、なんぢらは知識の鍵を取り去りて自ら入らず、入らんとする人をも止めしなり』
Woe unto you, the doctors of the law, for ye have taken away the key of knowledge; yourselves have not entered in, and those who were entering in ye have hindered.
53 此處より出で給へば、學者・パリサイ人ら烈しく詰め寄せて、樣々のことを詰りはじめ、
And as he said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him urgently, and to make him speak of many things;
watching him, [and seeking] to catch something out of his mouth, [that they might accuse him].
