ヨハネの福音書 12
1 過越の祭の六日 前に、イエス、ベタニヤに來り給ふ、ここは死人の中より甦へらせ給ひしラザロの居る處なり。
Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2 此處にてイエスのために饗宴を設け、マルタは事へ、ラザロはイエスと共に席に著ける者の中にあり。
There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
3 マリヤは價 高き混りなきナルドの香 油 一斤を持ち來りて、イエスの御足にぬり、己が頭髮にて御足を拭ひしに、香 油のかをり家に滿ちたり。
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4 御弟子の一人にて、イエスを賣らんとするイスカリオテのユダ言ふ、
Then says one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 『何ぞこの香 油を三 百デナリに賣りて、貧しき者に施さざる』
Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 かく云へるは貧しき者を思ふ故にあらず、おのれ盜人にして、財嚢を預り、その中に納むる物を掠めゐたればなり。
This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
7 イエス言ひ給ふ『この女の爲すに任せよ、我が葬りの日のために之を貯へたるなり。
Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying has she kept this.
8 貧しき者は常に汝らと偕に居れども、我は常に居らぬなり』
For the poor always all of you have with you; but me all of you have not always.
9 ユダヤの多くの民ども、イエスの此處に居給ふことを知りて來る、これはイエスの爲のみにあらず、死人の中より甦へらせ給ひしラザロを見んとてなり。
Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 かくて祭司長ら、ラザロをも殺さんと議る。
But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 彼のために多くのユダヤ人さり往きてイエスを信ぜし故なり。
Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
12 明くる日、祭に來りし多くの民ども、イエスのエルサレムに來り給ふをきき、
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 棕梠の枝をとりて出で迎へ、『「ホサナ、讃むべきかな、主の御名によりて來る者」イスラエルの王』と呼はる。
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord.
14 イエスは小驢馬を得て之に乘り給ふ。これは録して、
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 『シオンの娘よ、懼るな。視よ、なんぢの王は驢馬の子に乘りて來り給ふ』と有るが如し。
Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, your King comes, sitting on an ass's colt.
16 弟子たちは最初これらの事を悟らざりしが、イエスの榮光を受け給ひし後に、これらの事のイエスに就きて録されたると、人々が斯く爲ししとを思ひ出せり。
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
17 ラザロを墓より呼び起し、死人の中より甦へらせ給ひし時に、イエスと偕に居りし群衆、證をなせり。
The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
18 群衆のイエスを迎へたるは、かかる徴を行ひ給ひしことを聞きたるに因りてなり。
For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
19 パリサイ人ら互に言ふ『見るべし、汝らの謀ることの益なきを。視よ、世は彼に從へり』
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive all of you how all of you prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
20 禮拜せんとて祭に上りたる者の中に、ギリシヤ人 數人ありしが、
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
21 ガリラヤなるベツサイダのピリポに來り、請ひて言ふ『君よ、われらイエスに謁えんことを願ふ』
The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
22 ピリポ往きてアンデレに告げ、アンデレとピリポと共に往きてイエスに告ぐ。
Philip comes and tells Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23 イエス答へて言ひ給ふ『人の子の榮光を受くべき時きたれり。
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 誠にまことに汝らに告ぐ、一粒の麥、地に落ちて死なずば、唯一つにて在らん、もし死なば、多くの果を結ぶべし。
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.
He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 人もし我に事へんとせば、我に從へ、わが居る處に我に事ふる者もまた居るべし。人もし我に事ふることをせば、我が父これを貴び給はん。
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27 今わが心さわぐ、われ何を言ふべきか。父よ、この時より我を救ひ給へ、されど我この爲にこの時に到れり。
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 父よ、御名の榮光をあらはし給へ』ここに天より聲いでて言ふ『われ既に榮光をあらはしたり、復さらに顯さん』
Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 傍らに立てる群衆これを聞きて『雷霆 鳴れり』と言ひ、ある人々は『御使かれに語れるなり』と言ふ。
The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.
30 イエス答へて言ひ給ふ『この聲の來りしは、我が爲にあらず、汝らの爲なり。
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 今この世の審判は來れり、今この世の君は逐ひ出さるべし。
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 我もし地より擧げられなば、凡ての人をわが許に引きよせん』
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 かく言ひて、己が如何なる死にて死ぬるかを示し給へり。
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides for ever: and how say you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
35 イエス言ひ給ふ『なほ暫し光は汝らの中にあり、光のある間に歩みて、暗黒に追及かれぬやうにせよ、暗き中を歩む者は往方を知らず。
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.
36 光の子とならんために、光のある間に光を信ぜよ』イエス此 等のことを語りてのち、彼らを避けて隱れ給へり。
While all of you have light, believe in the light, that all of you may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
37 かく多くの徴を人々の前におこなひ給ひたれど、なほ彼を信ぜざりき。
But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38 これ預言者イザヤの言の成就せん爲なり。曰く『主よ、我らに聞きたる言を誰か信ぜし。主の御腕は誰にあらはれし』
That the saying (logos) of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39 彼らが信じ得ざりしは此の故なり。即ちイザヤまた云へらく、
Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
40 『彼らの眼を暗くし、心を頑固にし給へり。これ目にて見、心にて悟り、ひるがへりて、我に醫さるる事なからん爲なり』
He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41 イザヤの斯く云へるは、その榮光を見し故にて、イエスに就きて語りしなり。
These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42 されど司たちの中にもイエスを信じたるもの多かりしが、パリサイ人の故によりて言ひ顯すことをせざりき、除名せられん事を恐れたるなり。
Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 彼らは神の譽よりも人の譽を愛でしなり。
For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44 イエス呼はりて言ひ給ふ『われを信ずる者は我を信ずるにあらず、我を遣し給ひし者を信じ、
Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 我を見る者は我を遣し給ひし者を見るなり。
And he that sees me sees him that sent me.
46 我は光として世に來れり、すべて我を信ずる者の暗黒に居らざらん爲なり。
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.
47 人たとひ我が言をききて守らずとも、我は之を審かず。夫わが來りしは世を審かん爲にあらず、世を救はん爲なり。
And if any man hear my words, (rhema) and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 我を棄て我が言を受けぬ者を審く者あり、わが語れる言こそ終の日に之を審くなれ。
He that rejects me, and receives not my words, (rhema) has one that judges him: the word (logos) that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 我はおのれに由りて語れるにあらず、我を遣し給ひし父みづから、我が言ふべきこと語るべきことを命じ給ひし故なり。
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
