ホセア書 8

1 ラッパをなんぢの口にあてよ敵は鷲のごとくヱホバの家にのぞめりこの民わが契約をやぶりわが律法を犯ししによる

[Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. [He shall come] as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

2 かれら我にむかひてわが神よわれらイスラエルはなんぢを知れりと叫ばん

Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.

3 イスラエルは善をいみきらへり敵これを追ん

Israel hath cast off [the thing that is] good: the enemy shall pursue him.

4 かれら王をたてたり然れども我により立しにあらずかれら牧伯をたてたり然れども我がしらざるところなり彼らまたその金銀をもて己がために偶像をつくれりその造れるは毀ちすてられんが爲にせしにことならず

They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew [it] not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

5 サマリヤよなんぢの犢は忌きらふべきものなりわが怒かれらにむかひて燃ゆかれら何れの時にか罪なきにいたらん

Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long [will it be] ere they attain to innocency?

6 この犢はイスラエルより出づ匠人のつくれる者にして神にあらずサマリヤの犢はくだけて粉とならん

For from Israel [was] it also: the workman made it; therefore it [is] not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

7 かれらは風をまきて狂風をかりとらん種ところは生長る穀物なくその穂はみのらざるべしたとひ實るとも他邦人これを呑ん

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

8 イスラエルは旣に呑れたり彼等いま列國の中において悦ばれざる器のごとく視做るるなり

Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein [is] no pleasure.

9 彼らは獨ゐし野の驢馬のごとくアッスリヤにゆけりエフライムは物を餽りて戀人を得たり

For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.

10 かれら列國の民に物を餽りたりと雖も今われ彼等をつどへ集む彼らは諸侯伯の王に負せらるる重擔のために衰へ始めん

Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.

11 エフライムは多くの祭壇を造りて罪を犯すこの祭壇はかれらが罪に陷る階とはなれり

Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.

12 我かれらのために律法をしるして數件の箇條を示したれど彼らは反て之を異物とおもへり

I have written to him the great things of my law, [but] they were counted as a strange thing.

13 かれらは我に献ふべき物を献ふれども只肉をそなへて己みづから之を食ふヱホバは之を納たまはず今かれらの愆を記え彼らの罪を罰したまはん彼らはエジプトに歸るべし

They sacrifice flesh [for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat [it; but] the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

14 イスラエルは己が造主を忘れてもろもろの社廟を建てユダは塀をとりまはせる邑を多く増し加へたり然どわれ火をその邑々におくりて諸の城を燒亡さん

For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
