ホセア書 4
1 イスラエルの子輩よヱホバの言を聽けヱホバこの地に住る者と爭辨たまふ其は此地には誠實なく愛情なく神を知る事なければなり
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel! for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 ただ詛偽凶殺盗姦淫のみにして互に相襲ひ血血につづき流る
Swearing and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery! they break all bounds, and blood toucheth blood.
3 このゆゑにその地うれひにしづみ之にすむものはみな野のけもの空のとりとともにおとろへ海の魚もまた絶はてん
Therefore doth the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein doth languish, with the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also are taken away.
4 されど何人もあらそふべからずいましむ可らず汝の民は祭司と爭ふ者の如くなれり
Yet let no man strive, neither let any man reprove; for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.
5 汝は晝つまづき汝と偕なる預言者は夜つまづかん我なんぢの母を亡すべし
Therefore shalt thou stumble in the day, and the prophet also shall stumble with thee in the night; and I will destroy thy mother.
6 わが民は知識なきによりて亡さるなんぢ知識を棄つるによりて我もまた汝を棄ててわが祭司たらしめじ汝おのが神の律法を忘るるによりて我もなんぢの子等を忘れん
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.
7 彼らは大なるにしたがひてますます我に罪を犯せば我かれらの榮を辱に變ん
The more they were increased, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
8 彼らはわが民の罪をくらひ心をかたむけてその罪ををかすを願へり
They feed on the sin of My people, and set their heart on their iniquity.
9 このゆゑに民の遇ふところは祭司もまた同じわれその途をかれらにきたらせその行爲をもて之にむくゆべし
And it is like people, like priest; and I will punish him for his ways, and will recompense him his doings.
10 かれらは食へども飽ず淫行をなせどもその數まさずその心をヱホバにとむることを止ればなり
And they shall eat, and not have enough, they shall commit harlotry, and shall not increase; because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.
11 淫行と酒と新しき酒はその人の心をうばふ
Harlotry, wine, and new wine take away the heart.
12 わが民木にむかひて事をとふその杖かれらに事をしめす是かれら淫行の霊にまよはされその神の下を離れて淫行を爲すなり
My people ask counsel at their stock, and their staff declareth unto them; for the spirit of harlotry hath caused them to err, and they have gone astray from under their God.
13 彼らは山々の巓にて犠牲を献げ岡の上にて香を焚き橡樹 楊樹 栗樹の下にてこの事をおこなふ此はその樹蔭の美しきによりてなりここをもてなんぢらの女子は淫行をなしなんぢらの兒婦は姦淫をおこなふ
They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and offer upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because the shadow thereof is good; therefore your daughters commit harlotry, and your daughters-in-law commit adultery.
14 我なんぢらのむすめ淫行をなせども罰せずなんぢらの兒婦かんいんをおこなへども刑せじ其はなんぢらもみづから離れゆきて妓女とともに居り淫婦とともに献物をそなふればなり悟らざる民はほろぶべし
I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery; for they themselves consort with lewd women, and they sacrifice with harlots; and the people that is without understanding is distraught.
15 イスラエルよ汝淫行をなすともユダに罪を犯さする勿れギルガルに往なかれベテアベンに上るなかれヱホバは活くと曰て誓ふなかれ
Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah become guilty; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth-aven, nor swear: 'As the LORD liveth.'
16 イスラエルは頑強なる牛のごとくに頑強なり今ヱホバ恙羊をひろき野にはなてるが如くして之を牧はん
For Israel is stubborn like a stubborn heifer; now shall the LORD feed them as a lamb in a large place?
17 エフライムは偶像にむすびつらなれりその爲にまかせよ
Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone.
18 かれらの酒はくされかれらの淫行はやまずかれらの楯となるべき者等は恥を愛しいたく之を愛せり
When their carouse is over, they take to harlotry; her rulers deeply love dishonour.
19 かれは風の翼につつまれかれらはその禮物によりて恥辱をかうむらん
The wind hath bound her up in her skirts; and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
