ホセア書 12
1 エフライムは風をくらひ東風をおひ日々に詐僞と暴逆とを増くはへアッスリヤと契約を結び油をエジプトに餽れり
Ephraim striveth after wind, and followeth after the east wind; all the day he multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
2 ヱホバはユダと爭辨をなしたまふヤコブをその途にしたがひて罰しその行爲にしたがひて報いたまふ
The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways, according to his doings will He recompense him.
3 ヤコブは胎にゐし時その兄弟の踵をとらへまた己が力をもて神と角力あらそへり
In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and by his strength he strove with a godlike being;
4 かれは天の使と角力あらそひて勝ちなきて之に恩をもとめたり彼はベテルにて神にあへり其處にて神われらに語ひたまへり
So he strove with an angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him; at Beth-el he would find him, and there he would speak with us;
5 これは萬軍の神ヱホバなりヱホバは其記念の名なり
But the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD is His name.
6 然ばなんぢの神にかへり矜恤と公義とをまもり恒になんぢの神を仰ぐべし
Therefore turn thou to thy God; keep mercy and justice, and wait for thy God continually.
7 彼はカナン人(商賈)なりその手に詭詐の權衡をもち好であざむき取ことをなす
As for the trafficker, the balances of deceit are in his hand. He loveth to oppress.
8 エフライムはいふ誠にわれは富る者となれり我は身に財寳をえたり凡てわが勞したることの中に罪をうべき不義を見いだす者なかるべし
And Ephraim said: 'Surely I am become rich, I have found me wealth; in all my labours they shall find in me no iniquity that were sin.'
9 我ヱホバはエジプトの國をいでしより以來なんぢらの神なり我いまも尚なんぢを幕屋にすまはせて節會の日のごとくならしめん
But I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the appointed season.
10 我もろもろの預言者にかたり又これに益々おほく異象をしめしたり我もろもろの預言者に托して譬喩をまうく
I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes.
11 ギレアデは不義なる者ならずや彼らは全く虚しかれらはギルガルにて牛を犠牲に献ぐかれらの祭壇は圃の畝につみたる石の如し
If Gilead be given to iniquity becoming altogether vanity, in Gilgal they sacrifice unto bullocks; yea, their altars shall be as heaps in the furrows of the field.
12 ヤコブはアラムの野ににげゆけりイスラエルは妻を得んために人に事へ妻を得んために羊を牧へり
And Jacob fled into the field of Aram, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
13 ヱホバ一人の預言者をもてイスラエルをエジプトより導きいだし一人の預言者をもて之を護りたまへり
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he kept.
14 エフライムは怒を激ふること極てはなはだしその主かれが流しし血をかれが上にとどめその恥辱をかれに歸らせたまはん
Ephraim hath provoked most bitterly; therefore shall his blood be cast upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
