エゼキエル書 20

1 七年の五月十日にイスラエルの長老の中の人々ヱホバに問んとて來りてわが前に坐しけるに

In the seventh year, on the tenth day of the fifth month, some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and they sat down before me.

2 ヱホバの言我にのぞみて云ふ

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

3 人の子よイスラエルの長老等に告て之にいふべし主ヱホバかく言ふ汝等我に問んとて來れるや主ヱホバいふ我は活く我汝らの問を容じと

“Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: Have you come to inquire of Me? As surely as I live, I will not be consulted by you, declares the Lord GOD.

4 汝かれらを鞫かんとするや人の子よ汝かれらを鞫かんとするや彼等の先祖等のなしたる憎むべき事等をかれらに知しめて

Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Confront them with the abominations of their fathers

5 言べし主ヱホバかくいふ我イスラエルを選みヤコブの家の裔にむかひてわが手をあげエジプトの地にて我をかれらに知せかれらにむかひて吾手をあげて我は汝らの神ヱホバなりと言し日

and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt. With an uplifted hand I said to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.’

6 その日に我かれらにむかひて吾手をあげエジプトの地よりかれらをいだし吾がかれらのために求め得たるその乳と蜜の流るる地に導かんとせり是諸の地の中の美しき者なり

On that day I swore to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands.

7 而して我かれらに言けらく各人その目にあるところの憎むべき事等を棄てよエジプトの偶像をもてその身を汚すなかれ我は汝らの神ヱホバなりと

And I said to them: ‘Each of you must throw away the abominations before his eyes, and you must not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’

8 然るに彼らは我に背きて我に聽したがふことを好まざりき彼等一人もその目にあるところの憎むべき者を棄てずエジプトの偶像を棄てざりしかば我エジプトの地の中において吾憤恨をかれらに注ぎわが忿怒をかれらに洩さんと言り

But they rebelled against Me and refused to listen. None of them cast away the abominations before their eyes, and they did not forsake the idols of Egypt. So I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and vent My anger against them in the land of Egypt.

9 然れども我わが名のために事をなして彼らをエジプトの地より導きいだせり是吾名の異邦人等の前に汚されざらんためなりその異邦人等の中に彼等居り又その前にて我おのれを彼等に知せたり

But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations among whom they were living, in whose sight I had revealed Myself to Israel by bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

10 すなはち我エジプトの地より彼等を導き出して曠野に携ゆき

So I brought them out of the land of Egypt and led them into the wilderness.

11 わが法憲をこれに授けわが律法をこれに示せり是は人の行ひて之に由て生べき者なり

And I gave them My statutes and made known to them My ordinances—for the man who does these things will live by them.

12 我また彼らに安息日を與へて我と彼らの間の徴となしかれらをして吾ヱホバが彼らを聖別しを知しめんとせり

I also gave them My Sabbaths as a sign between us, so that they would know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

13 然るにイスラエルの家は曠野にて我に背き人の行ひて之によりて生べき者なるわが法度にあゆまず吾が律法を輕んじ大に吾が安息日を汚したれば曠野にてわが憤恨をかれらに注ぎてこれを滅さんと言ひたりしが

Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they utterly profaned My Sabbaths. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and put an end to them in the wilderness.

14 我わが名のために事をなせり是わが彼らを導きいだして見せしところの異邦人等の目のまへにわが名を汚されざらしめんためなりき

But I acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

15 但し我曠野にて彼らにむかひて吾手をあげ彼らをわが與へしその乳と蜜の流るる地に導かじと誓へり是は諸の地の中の美しき者なり

Moreover, with an uplifted hand I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land that I had given them—a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands—

16 是かれら心にその偶像を慕ひてわが律法を輕んじ棄てわが法憲にあゆまずわが安息日を汚したればなり

because they kept rejecting My ordinances, refusing to walk in My statutes, and profaning My Sabbaths; for their hearts continually went after their idols.

17 然りといへども吾かれらを惜み見てかれらを滅ぼさず曠野にて彼らを絕さざりき

Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy them or bring them to an end in the wilderness.

18 我曠野にてかれらの子等に言り汝らの父の法度にあゆむなかれ汝らの律法を守るなかれ汝らの偶像をもて汝らの身を汚すなかれ

In the wilderness I said to their children: ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

19 我は汝らの神ヱホバなり吾法度にあゆみ吾律法を守りてこれを行ひ

I am the LORD your God; walk in My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them.

20 わが安息日を聖くせよ是は我と汝らの間の徴となりて汝らをして我が汝らの神ヱホバなるを知しめんと

Keep My Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us, so that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’

21 然るにその子等我にそむき人の行ひてこれによりて活べき者なるわが法度にあゆまず吾律法をまもりて之をおこなはずわが安息日を汚したれば我わが憤恨を彼らにそそぎ曠野にてわが忿怒をかれらに洩さんと言たりしが

But the children rebelled against Me. They did not walk in My statutes or carefully observe My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they profaned My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath upon them and vent My anger against them in the wilderness.

22 吾手を翻してわが名のために事をなせり是わが彼らを導き出して見せしところの異邦人等の目のまへにわが名を汚されざらしめんためなりき

But I withheld My hand and acted for the sake of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

23 但し我汝らを國々に散し處々に撒んと曠野にてかれらにむかひて我手を擧たり

However, with an uplifted hand I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the lands.

24 是かれらわが律法を行はずわが法度を輕じわが安息日をけがしその父の偶像を目に慕ひたればなり

For they did not practice My ordinances, but they rejected My statutes and profaned My Sabbaths, fixing their eyes on the idols of their fathers.

25 我かれらに善らぬ法度を與へかれらが由て活べからざる律法を與へ

I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not live.

26 彼らをしてその禮物によりて己の身を汚さしむ即ちかれらその長子をして火の中を通過しめたり是は我彼らを滅し彼らをして我のヱホバなるを知しめんためなり

And I pronounced them unclean through their gifts—the sacrifice of every firstborn in the fire—so that I might devastate them, in order that they would know that I am the LORD.

27 然ば人の子よイスラエルの家につげて之にいふべし主ヱホバかくいひたまふ彼らの父等は更にまた不忠の罪ををかし我を瀆せり

Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: In this way also your fathers blasphemed Me by their unfaithfulness against Me.

28 我わが彼らに與へんと手をあげし此地にかれらを導きいれしに彼ら諸の高丘と諸の茂樹を尋ね得てその犠牲を其處に供へその憤らしき禮物をそこに獻げその馨しき佳氣をそこに奉つりその神酒をそこに灌げり

When I brought them into the land that I swore to give them and they saw any high hill or leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices, presented offerings that provoked Me, sent up their fragrant incense, and poured out their drink offerings.

29 我かれらに言り汝らが往ところの崇き處は何なるやと其名は今日にいたるまでバマと言ふなり

So I asked them: ‘What is this high place to which you go?’ (And to this day it is called Bamah.)

30 この故にイスラエルの家に言ふべし主ヱホバかくいひたまふ汝らの先祖の途をもて汝らはその身を汚し彼等の憎むべき物をしたひてこれと姦淫を行ふにあらずや

Therefore tell the house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: Will you defile yourselves the way your fathers did, prostituting yourselves with their abominations?

31 汝等はその禮物を獻げその子女に火の中を通らしめて今日にいたるまで汝らの諸の偶像をもてその身を汚すなり然ばイスラエルの家よ我なんぢらの問を容るべけんや主ヱホバいふ我は活く我は汝らの問を容ざるなり

When you offer your gifts, sacrificing your sons in the fire, you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. So should I be consulted by you, O house of Israel? As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will not be consulted by you!

32 汝ら我儕は木と石に事へて異邦人の如くなり國々の宗族のごとくならんと言ば汝らの心に起るところの事は必ず成ざるべし

When you say, ‘Let us be like the nations, like the peoples of the lands, serving wood and stone,’ what you have in mind will never come to pass.

33 主ヱホバいふ我は生く我かならず強き手と伸たる腕をもて怒を注ぎて汝らを治めん

As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, with a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will rule over you.

34 我強き手と伸たる腕をもて怒を注ぎて汝らを國々より曳いだし汝らが散れたる處々より汝らを集め

With a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered.

35 國々の曠野に汝らを導き其處にて面をあはせて汝らを鞫かん

And I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, where I will enter into judgment with you face to face.

36 主ヱホバいふ我エジプトの曠野にて汝らの先祖等を鞫きしごとくに汝らを鞫くべし

Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, declares the Lord GOD.

37 我なんぢらをして杖の下を通らしめ契約の索に汝らを入しめ

I will make you pass under the rod and will bring you into the bond of the covenant.

38 汝らの中より背ける者および我に悖れる者を別たんその寓れる地より我かれらをいだすべし彼らはイスラエルの地に來らざるべし汝らすなはち我のヱホバなるを知ん

And I will purge you of those who rebel and transgress against Me. I will bring them out of the land in which they dwell, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

39 然ばイスラエルの家よ主ヱホバかくいふ汝等おのおの往てその偶像に事へよ然ど後には汝らかならず我に聽て重てその禮物と偶像をもてわが名を汚さざるべし

And as for you, O house of Israel, this is what the Lord GOD says: Go and serve your idols, every one of you. But afterward, you will surely listen to Me, and you will no longer defile My holy name with your gifts and idols.

40 主ヱホバいふ吾が聖山の上イスラエルの高山の上にてイスラエルの全家その地の者皆我に事へん其處にて我かれらを悦びて受納ん其處にて我なんぢらの獻物および初成の禮物すべて汝らが聖別たる者を求むべし

For on My holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land. There I will accept them and will require your offerings and choice gifts, along with all your holy sacrifices.

41 我汝らを國々より導き出し汝らが散されたる處々より汝らを集むる時馨しき香氣のごとくに汝らを悦びて受納れ汝らによりて異邦人等の目のまへに我の聖ことをあらはすべし

When I bring you from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered, I will accept you as a pleasing aroma. And I will show My holiness through you in the sight of the nations.

42 我が汝らをイスラエルの地すなはちわが汝らの先祖等にあたへんと手をあげしところの地にいたらしめん時に汝等は我のヱホバなるを知るにいたらん

Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land that I swore to give your fathers.

43 汝らは其身を汚したるところの汝らの途と汝らのもろもろの行爲を彼處にて憶え其なしたる諸の惡き作爲のために自ら恨み視ん

There you will remember your ways and all the deeds with which you have defiled yourselves, and you will loathe yourselves for all the evils you have done.

44 イスラエルの家よ我汝らの惡き途によらず汝らの邪なる作爲によらずして吾名のために汝等を待はん時に汝らは我のヱホバなるを知るにいたらん主ヱホバこれを言ふなり

Then you will know, O house of Israel, that I am the LORD, when I have dealt with you for the sake of My name and not according to your wicked ways and corrupt acts, declares the Lord GOD.”

45 ヱホバの言また我にのぞみて言ふ

Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

46 人の子よ汝の面を南方に向け南にむかひて言を垂れ南の野の森の事を預言せよ

“Son of man, set your face toward the south, preach against it, and prophesy against the forest of the Negev.

47 すなはち南の森に言ふべしヱホバの言を聽け主ヱホバかく言ふ視よ我なんぢの中に火を燃さん是なんぢの中の諸の靑樹と諸の枯木を焚べしその烈しき火焰消ることなし南より北まで諸の面これがために燒ん

Say to the forest of the Negev: Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Lord GOD says: I am about to ignite in you a fire, and it will devour all your trees, both green and dry. The blazing flame will not be quenched, and by it every face from south to north will be scorched.

48 肉ある者みな我ヱホバのこれを燒しなるを見ん是は消ざるべし

Then all people will see that I, the LORD, have kindled it; it will not be quenched.”

49 我是において言り嗚呼主ヱホバよ人われを指て言ふ彼は譬言をもて語るにあらずやと

Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD, they are saying of me, ‘Is he not just telling parables?’”
