出エジプト記 19
1 イスラエルの子孫エジプトの地を出て後第三月にいたりて其日にシナイの曠野に至る
In the third month after the sons of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.
2 即ちかれらレピデムを出たちてシナイの曠野にいたり曠野に幕を張り彼處にてイスラエルは山の前に營を設けたり
And when they were departed from Rephidim, and came to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness, and there Israel encamped before the mount.
3 爰にモーセ登て神に詣るにヱホバ山より彼を呼て言たまはく汝かくヤコブの家に言ひイスラエルの子孫に告べし
And Moses went up to God. And Jehovah called to him out of the mountain, saying, Thus thou shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the sons of Israel:
4 汝らはエジプト人に我がなしたるところの事を見我が鷲の翼をのべて汝らを負て我にいたらしめしを見たり
Ye have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to myself.
5 然ば汝等もし善く我が言を聽きわが契約を守らば汝等は諸の民に愈りてわが寶となるべし全地はわが所有なればなり
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be my own possession from among all peoples, for all the earth is mine,
6 汝等は我に對して祭司の國となり聖き民となるべし是等の言語を汝イスラエルの子孫に告べし
and ye shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shall speak to the sons of Israel.
7 是に於てモーセ來りて民の長老等を呼びヱホバの己に命じたまひし言を盡くその前に陳たれば
And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Jehovah commanded him.
8 民皆等く應へて言けるはヱホバの言たまひし所は皆われら之を爲べしとモーセすなはち民の言をヱホバに告ぐ
And all the people answered together, and said, All that Jehovah has spoken we will do. And Moses reported the words of the people to Jehovah.
9 ヱホバ、モーセに言たまひけるは觀よ我密雲の中にをりて汝に臨む是民をして我が汝と語るを聞しめて汝を永く信ぜしめんがためなりとモーセ民の言をヱホバに告たり
And Jehovah said to Moses, Lo, I come to thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and may also believe thee forever. And Moses told the words of the people to Jehovah.
10 ヱホバ、モーセに言たまひけるは汝民の所に往て今日明日これを聖め之にその衣服を澣せ
And Jehovah said to Moses, Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,
11 準備をなして三日を待て其は第三日にヱホバ全體の民の目の前にてシナイ山に降ればなり
and be ready for the third day, for the third day Jehovah will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
12 汝民のために四周に境界を設けて言べし汝等愼んで山に登るなかれその境界に捫るべからず山に捫る者はかならず殺さるべし
And thou shall set bounds to the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye not go up onto the mount, or touch the border of it. Whoever touches the mount shall be surely put to death;
13 手を之に觸べからず其者はかならす石にて撃ころされ或は射ころさるべし獣と人とを言ず生ることを得じ喇叭を長く吹鳴さば人々山に上るべしと
no hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through, whether it be beast or man, he shall not live. When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.
14 モーセすなはち山を下り民にいたりて民を聖め民その衣服を濯ふ
And Moses went down from the mount to the people, and sanctified the people, and they washed their garments.
15 モーセ民に言けるは準備をなして三日を待て婦人に近づくべからず
And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day. Come not near a woman.
16 かくて三日の朝にいたりて雷と電および密雲山の上にあり又喇叭の聲ありて甚だ高かり營にある民みな震ふ
And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of an exceedingly loud trumpet. And all the people who were in the camp trembled.
17 モーセ營より民を引いでて神に會しむ民山の麓に立に
And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the lower part of the mount.
18 シナイ山都て煙を出せりヱホバ火の中にありてその上に下りたまへばなりその煙竃の煙のごとく立のぼり山すべて震ふ
And mount Sinai, the whole of it, smoked, because Jehovah descended upon it in fire, and the smoke of it ascended as the smoke of a furnace. And the whole mount quaked greatly.
19 喇叭の聲彌高くなりゆきてばげしくなりける時モーセ言を出すに神聲をもて應へたまふ
And when the voice of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.
20 ヱホバ、シナイ山に下りその山の頂上にいまし而してヱホバ山の頂上にモーセを召たまひければモーセ上れり
And Jehovah came down upon mount Sinai, to the top of the mount. And Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mount, and Moses went up.
21 ヱホバ、モーセに言たまひけるは下りて民を警めよ恐らくは民推破りてヱホバに來りて見んとし多の者死るにいたらん
And Jehovah said to Moses, Go down, command the people, lest they break through to Jehovah to gaze, and many of them perish.
22 又ヱホバに近くところの祭司等にその身を潔めしめよ恐くはヱホバかれらを撃ん
And let the priests also, who come near to Jehovah, sanctify themselves, lest Jehovah break forth upon them.
23 モーセ、ヱホバに言けるは民はシナイ山に得のぼらじ其は汝われらを警めて山の四周に境界をたて山を聖めよと言たまひたればなり
And Moses said to Jehovah, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai, for thou commanded us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
24 ヱホバかれに言たまひけるは往け下れ而して汝とアロンともに上り來るべし但祭司等と民には推破りてにのぼりきたらしめざれ恐らくは我かれらを撃ん
And Jehovah said to him, Go, get thee down. And thou shall come up, thou, and Aaron with thee, but do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to Jehovah, lest he break forth upon them.
25 モーセ民にくだりゆきてこれに告たり
So Moses went down to the people, and told them.
