エペソ人への手紙 1
1 神の御意によりてキリスト・イエスの使徒となれるパウロ、書をエペソに居る聖徒、キリストに在りて忠實なる者に贈る。
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints who are [[in Ephesus]], and believers in Christ Jesus:
2 願はくは我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 讃むべきかな、我らの主イエス・キリストの父なる神、かれはキリストに由りて靈のもろもろの祝福をもて天の處にて我らを祝し、
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly regions in Christ;
4 御前にて潔く瑕なからしめん爲に、世の創の前より我等をキリストの中に選び、
according as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him;
5 御意のままにイエス・キリストに由り愛をもて己が子となさんことを定め給へり。
having in love predestinated us for himself to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 是その愛しみ給ふ者によりて我らに賜ひたる恩惠の榮光に譽あらん爲なり。
to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved;
7 我らは彼にありて恩惠の富に隨ひ、その血に頼りて贖罪、すなはち罪の赦を得たり。
in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8 神は我らに諸般の知慧と聰明とを與へてその恩惠を充しめ、
which he made to abound toward us, in all wisdom and understanding;
9 御意の奧義を御意のままに示し給へり。
having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself
10 即ち時 滿ちて經綸にしたがひ、天に在るもの地にあるものを、悉とくキリストに在りて一つに歸せしめ給ふ。これ自ら定め給ひし所なり。
in reference to the dispensation of the fullness of the times, to gather for himself into one all things in Christ, the things which are in the heavens, and the things on the earth; even in him,
11 我らは、凡ての事を御意の思慮のままに行ひたまふ者の御旨によりて預じめ定められ、キリストに在りて神の産業とせられたり。
in whom we also obtained the inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will,
12 これ夙くよりキリストに希望を置きし我らが、神の榮光の譽とならん爲なり。
that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who have before placed our hope in the Messiah;
13 汝 等もキリストに在りて、眞の言すなはち汝らの救の福音をきき、彼を信じて約束の聖 靈にて印せられたり。
in whom ye also, after having heard the word of truth, the glad tidings of your salvation, in whom, I say, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit that was promised,
14 これは我らが受くべき嗣業の保證にして、神に屬けるものの贖はれ、かつ神の榮光に譽あらん爲なり。
which is a pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
15 この故に我も汝らが主イエスに對する信仰と凡ての聖徒に對する愛とを聞きて、
For this cause I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and of your love to all the saints,
16 絶えず汝らのために感謝し、わが祈のうちに汝らを憶え、
do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 我らの主イエス・キリストの神、榮光の父、なんぢらに智慧と默示との靈を與へて、神を知らしめ、
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him;
18 汝らの心の眼を明かにし、神の召にかかはる望と、聖徒にある神の嗣業の榮光の富と、
the eyes of your mind being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope belonging to his call of you, and what the riches of the glory of the inheritance which he hath given among the saints,
19 神の大能の勢威の活動によりて信ずる我らに對する能力の極めて大なるとを知らしめ給はんことを願ふ。
and what the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 神はその大能をキリストのうちに働かせて、之を死人の中より甦へらせ、天の所にて己の右に坐せしめ、
which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead; and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly regions,
far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; (aiōn g165)
22 萬の物をその足の下に服はせ、彼を萬の物の上に首として教會に與へ給へり。
and put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,
23 この教會は彼の體にして、萬の物をもて萬の物に滿し給ふ者の滿つる所なり。
which is his body, the fullness of him who filleth all with all;
