サムエル記Ⅱ 12
1 ヱホバ、ナタンをダビデに遣はしたまへば彼ダビデに至りてこれにいひけるは一の邑に二箇の人あり一は富て一は貧し
And YHWH sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
2 其富者は甚だ多くの羊と牛を有り
The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:
3 されど貧者は唯自己の買て育てたる一の小き牝羔の外は何をも有ざりき其牝羔彼およびかれの子女とともに生長ちかれの食物を食ひかれの椀に飮みまた彼の懐に寝て彼には女子のごとくなりき
But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.
4 時に一人の旅人其富る人の許に來りけるが彼おのれの羊と牛の中を取りてそのおのれに來れる旅人のために烹を惜みてかの貧き人の牝羔を取りて之をおのれに來れる人のために烹たり
And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
5 ダビデ其人の事を大に怒りてナタンにいひけるはヱホバは生く誠に此をなしたる人は死べきなり
And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As YHWH liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:
6 且彼此事をなしたるに因りまた憐憫まざりしによりて其牝羔を四倍になして償ふべし
And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.
7 ナタン、ダビデにいひけるは汝は其人なりイスラエルの神ヱホバ斯いひたまふ我汝に膏を沃いでイスラエルの王となし我汝をサウルの手より救ひいだし
And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith YHWH Elohim of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
8 汝に汝の主人の家をあたへ汝の主人の諸妻を汝の懐に與へまたイスラエルとユダの家を汝に與へたり若し少からば我汝に種々の物を増くはへしならん
And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
9 何ぞ汝ヱホバの言を藐視じて其目のまへに惡をなせしや汝刃劍をもてヘテ人ウリヤを殺し其妻をとりて汝の妻となせり即ちアンモンの子孫の劍をもて彼を斬殺せり
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of YHWH, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10 汝我を軽んじてヘテ人ウリヤの妻をとり汝の妻となしたるに因て劍何時までも汝の家を離るることなかるべし
Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
11 ヱホバ斯いひたまふ視よ我汝の家の中より汝の上に禍を起すべし我汝の諸妻を汝の目のまへに取て汝の隣人に與へん其人此日のまへにて汝の諸妻とともに寝ん
Thus saith YHWH, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
12 其は汝は密に事をなしたれど我はイスラエルの衆のまへと日のまへに此事をなすべければなりと
For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
13 ダビデ、ナタンにいふ我ヱホバに罪を犯したりナタン、ダビデにいひけるはヱホバまた汝の罪を除きたまへり汝死ざるべし
And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against YHWH. And Nathan said unto David, YHWH also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
14 されど汝此所行によりてヱホバの敵に大なる罵る機會を與へたれば汝に生れし其子必ず死べしと
Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of YHWH to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
15 かくてナタン其家にかへれり 爰にヱホバ、ウリヤの妻がダビデに生る子を撃たまひければ痛く疾めり
And Nathan departed unto his house. And YHWH struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
16 ダビデ其子のために神に乞求む即ちダビデ斷食して入り終夜地に臥したり
David therefore besought Elohim for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
17 ダビデの家の年寄等彼の傍に立ちてかれを地より起しめんとせしかども彼肯ぜず又かれらとともに食を爲ざりき
And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
18 第七日に其子死りダビデの僕其子の死たることをダビデに告ることを恐れたりかれらいひけるは子の尚生る間に我儕彼に語たりしに彼我儕の言を聽いれざりき如何ぞ彼に其子の死たるを告ぐべけんや彼害を爲んと
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
19 然にダビデ其僕の私語くを見てダビデ其子の死たるを暁れりダビデ乃ち其僕に子は死たるやといひければかれら死りといふ
But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
20 是においてダビデ地よりおきあがり身を洗ひ膏をぬり其衣服を更てヱホバの家にいりて拝し自己の家に至り求めておのれのために食を備へしめて食へり
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of YHWH, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
21 僕等彼にいひけるは此の汝がなせる所は何事なるや汝子の生るあひだはこれがために斷食して哭きながら子の死る時に汝は起て食を爲すと
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
22 ダビデいひけるは嬰孩の尚生るあひだにわが斷食して哭きたるは我誰かヱホバの我を憐れみて此子を生しめたまふを知んと思ひたればなり
And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether Elohim will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
23 されど今死たれば我なんぞ斷食すべけんや我再びかれをかへらしむるを得んや我かれの所に往べけれど彼は我の所にかへらざるべし
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
24 ダビデ其妻バテシバを慰めかれの所にいりてかれとともに寝たりければ彼男子を生りダビデ其名をソロモンと呼ぶヱホバこれを愛したまひて
And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and YHWH loved him.
25 預言者ナタンを遣はし其名をヱホバの故によりてヱデデア(ヱホバの愛する者)と名けしめたまふ
And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of YHWH.
26 爰にヨアブ、アンモンの子孫のラバを攻めて王城を取れり
And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.
27 ヨアブ使者をダビデにつかはしていひけるは我ラバを攻て水城を取れり
And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.
28 されば汝今餘の民を集め斯城に向て陣どりて之を取れ恐らくは我此城を取て人我名をもて之を呼にいたらんと
Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.
29 是においてダビデ民を悉くあつめてラバにゆき攻て之を取り
And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.
30 しかしてダビデ、アンモン王の冕を其首より取はなしたり其金の重は一タラントなりまた寶石を嵌たりこれをダビデの首に置ダビデ其邑の掠取物を甚だ多く持出せり
And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.
31 かくてダビデ其中の民を將いだしてこれを鋸と鐵の千歯と鐵の斧にて斬りまた瓦陶の中を通行しめたり彼斯のごとくアンモンの子孫の凡ての城邑になせりしかしてタビデと民は皆エルサレムに還りぬ
And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
