ヨハネの手紙第二 1
1 長老、書を選ばれたる婦人および其の子供に贈る。われ眞をもて汝らを愛す。啻に我のみならず、凡て眞理を知る者はみな汝らを愛す。
The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. (aiōn g165)
3 父なる神および父の子イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と憐憫と平安とは、眞と愛との中にて我らと偕にあらん。
Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 われ汝の子供のうちに、我らが父より誡命を受けし如く、眞理に循ひて歩む者あるを見て甚だ喜べり。
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5 婦人よ、われ今なんぢに願ふは、我らが互に相 愛すべき事なり。これは新しき誡命を書き贈るにあらず、我らが初より有てる誡命なり。
And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 彼の誡命に循ひて歩むは即ち愛なり、汝らが初より聞きしごとく、愛に歩むは即ち誡命なり。
And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 人を惑すもの多く世にいで、イエス・キリストの肉體にて來り給ひしことを言ひ表さず、かかる者は人を惑す者にして、非キリストなり。
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 なんぢら我らが働きし所を空しくせず、滿ち足れる報を得んために自ら心せよ。
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 凡そキリストの教に居らずして、之を越えゆく者は神を有たず、キリストの教にをる者は父と子とを有つなり。
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 人もし此の教を有たずして汝らに來らば、之を家に入るな、安かれと言ふな。
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed:
11 之に安かれと言ふ者は、その惡しき行爲に與するなり。
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
12 我なほ汝らに書き贈ること多くあれど、紙と墨とにてするを好まず、我らの歡喜を充さんために汝 等にいたり、顏をあわせて語らんことを望む。
Having many things to write unto you, I would not [write] with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
13 選ばれたる汝の姉妹の子供、なんぢに安否を問ふ。
The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
